A list of puns related to "Screen Time (album)"
For me it would be:
I just think there's not a single bad track in Screen Violence, most solid work so far imo.
The Black Photo Album. Made by my great grandmother through the years of her only son through his childhood.
I never saw pictures of my GREAT grandfather until this.
And I gotta tell you, there's something insane about scanning a page of 8 small 3.5 inch photos at 1200dpi and blowing it up on a 60 inch TV. The photos really come to life. You notice expressions and details that tell the story of the photograph.
Here's a picture of the album I scanned. (Took it with my phone)
Here's a pic of my baby grandpa on the big screen.
Here's a screen cap of a scan of a page.
Here's a screen cap of baby grandpa for your viewing pleasure. It's a screen cap because I havent figured out compression yet.
Look at this crazy insane detail!!!!!!!!!
I just about cried when I saw great grandpap up on the screen. With his big huge smile and bubbly optimistic attitude. I could feel his energy through the screen.
A super rough explanation on my process...
I used a V600 scanner and scanned each page at 1200dpi which took about 5 hours.
Each page ends up about 400MB large downloaded as a .tif file. Uncompressed.
I open the page in IrfanView, use the select tool to box a photo, click file, and then 'save selection as...'
My naming convention, photo organization, and archival process is ... intense. Once i'm done with the entire process, I will post a guide.
I'm starting to see results! This is so satisfying!!!
As someone that used to jam The Bones of What You Believe I did not care for Every Open Eye and then just stopped listening to Chvrches.
Aside from that radio hit they did with Marshmello I hadnβt listened to them in years.
Recently I saw a lot of buzz with Screen Violence so I decided to give the band another shot.
Holy DAMN this album is so good.
Favorites atm are Violent Delights, Asking for a Friend, He Said She Said, Good Girls, and Killer.
Going to finish with my 4th playthrough of Screen Violence and give Every Other Eye another shot and listen to the other album before SV for the first time!
Edit: Love is Dead is the album Iβve never listened to. Every Other Eye I did once and didnβt like it, looking forward to catching up on their discography with older ears.
We have an 8 month old and weβre trying to minimize screen time as long as we practically can. But weβll often listen to music via the Apple TV in our living room while heβs playing and weβre hanging out with him. Heβs totally fixated on the screen sometimes, even though itβs just the album cover and sometimes scrolling text if lyrics are available. Obviously itβs not as stimulating as an actual TV show, but would you still count this count as βscreen time?β We could use our phones and a Bluetooth speaker, but itβs just a lot more convenient to have it on the TV. Thoughts?
Some companies users big names to lure people to the theaters. But then you watch the movie and it turns out the big names, dies or is off screen or has so little screen time it wasnt worth mentioning it on the poster.
Like Bryan Cranston in Godzilla.
Salma Hayek in Eternals.
Ana de Armas in Yesterday.
Micheal Keaton in beetlejuice (only 17 minutes)
Which other movies used this type of advertising/marketing?
My son is 2.8 years old, weβve watched encanto 100xβ¦Daniel tigerβ¦Blippiβ¦Sesame Streetβ¦but itβs getting old and I kind of want new screen time options.
Any suggestions? Both educational and not educational would be great. TIA XO
Is this correct in thinking? With Google Music if I purchased an album, it showed up in my recent playlist automatically and I could listen to it in my car via bluetooth without the screen on.
With YT Music, I have to go into multiple sections, then click uploads, find the album by title, click play, then leave my screen on so it kills my battery...to listen to an album I paid for?
If this is the case, I will be just buying albums and copying them to my phone and play them via a 3rd party app.
Hello, My 5y/o girl got in trouble for hitting 2 other students at school a few days ago. I put her on a 5-day grounding from TV and her tablet and we are currently on day 3. Thing is, she woke up sick today and has not wanted to play with any toys (or even color) and just wants to stay in bed because she doesn't feel well at all.
Normally when she is sick we watch TV together and I baby her back to health. It makes me feel pretty bad that she's just laying in bed doing nothing except staring at the wall, but she is grounded. I'm trying to comfort her as much as I can, but it's definitely not the regular routine when she is sick.
I don't want her to feel like she's so bad that she doesn't deserve comfort when she is sick, but I also really don't want to go back on my words, and I definitely don't want her to hit other students again.
What do I do? What do you think?
Edit: Thank you all for your advice and for teaching me some new things!
Iβm talking about characters that whether or not youβve seen the movie, you know who they are, especially ones that are barely even in the film.
My pick would be Casey Becker from Scream. Drew Barrymore immortalized her with just one scene and she specifically wanted to play Casey to throw off the audience like with Janet Leigh playing Marion Crane in Psycho (1960). My second answer off the top of my head would be Pamela Vorhees in the original Friday the 13th. Didnβt even show up until the last 15 minutes or so
Can you explain how your day goes? I used to have 0 screen time for my little one but now thatβs heβs almost 2 and Iβm about to pop with the next one Iβm having trouble keeping up with him and the TV has become his babysitter.
Any ideas on how to keep him busy?
I keep seeing posts from mothers who are sick, who are stressed trying to handle a full time WFH job, along with raising a baby (or child, or multiple little beings), who just need a moment to eat⦠And they all feel guilty about sticking kiddo in front of a screen.
Iβm not sure when tv became the enemy, but a little screen time will not hurt your child! Think back to when you were a kidβ¦ think of all the things tv taught you! Sesame Street taught me the alphabet, Barney taught me how to share, Bill Nye taught me the importance of Science.
Iβm not saying you should stick your kid in front of the tv 12 hours a day, every dayβ¦ but when you need a moment for ANY REASON AT ALL, a little screen time will not ruin your childβs development.
TL;DR at bottom β₯
Been here for ages, though under another account my ex may be stalking, but I've always loved this community since it first was made- helping people, caring about one another, you've all got such amazing vibes! You may know me from such posts as these- 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5
As you can see, we've... had some adventures together, my highs, my lows, my goods and bads, but this subreddit is very dear to me... and this is it. This is the most important person I've ever given a first trip to, and I've been responsible for dozens- this is someone who's had so many issues over nearly a decade, who I've told to wait when they wanted to start at like, 19 or so, and since then watched her grow into someone truly amazing, wonderful and spiritually ready to open up to the world. I've never seen someone so prepared for it, to be honest, and it's absolutely beautiful.
So, for those of you who do delve into the deeper parts of the comments here, your favorite thing, your most recent delight, whatever strikes your fancy, I'd love to know what it is in this collection of delightful links that resonates with you as something trippy, beautiful, music, artwork, whatever it is that makes you feel amazed at reality good to share while tripping.
