Sorry if this is an ignorant question.

Thanks to all of the 200+ contributors and the other 730,000+ subscribers in the CFB subreddit. It is a interesting coincidence that in the year of phenomena growth in the CFB subreddit that LSU bookended it phenomenal undefeated season by beating the two college football teams that had the longest undefeated records: 25 for UCF ended in the 2019 bowl game and 29 for Clemson ended in the National Championship! Some may claim it was lightning in a bottle, but I doubt that a college football team has ever or will ever top a 16-0 record and an undefeated season sandwiched in between two teams that had not been defeated in 54 games. Thanks to the three Joe amigos -Joe Burrow, Joe Brady and Mickey Joseph. Yβall got better throughout the season. And yβall certainly quieted the nonbelievers, and entertained all lovers of the college football game. Go O, go Bo, go E in Two0TwoO.
That thought has occured to me many times and I never really figured out why. Perhaps someone from those countries could shed some light?

Of the 11 FBS teams with at least 60 wins this decade (2010 season through 2015 season), only three have not appeared in the BCS National Championship Game or in the College Football Playoff. Those three teams are: Boise State, Northern Illinois, and Stanford.
Stanford is the only P5 team with 60+ wins this decade to not appear in the BCS National Championship Game or in the College Football Playoff.

Stanford has established a consistently competitive program but has not managed to make it onto the biggest stage (BCS NCG/CFP) despite its 65-15 record this decade.
Is Stanford the new Virginia Tech? Did Stanford steal the mantle of "almost thereβ from Virginia Tech in the 2011 Orange Bowl?
^^^I ^^^realize ^^^Virginia ^^^Tech ^^^played ^^^in ^^^the ^^^2000 ^^^BCS ^^^NCG. ^^^Just ^^^go ^^^with ^^^it.
TL;DR Stanford: Always the bridesmaid, never the bride. Stanford may be the new Virginia Tech.
The United Kingdom competes as one nation in the Olympics but why do they have 4 teams for things like the World Cup, of which England only seems to qualify in recent years. I can see Puerto Rico having its own teams for Basketball and Baseball, as it is only a US territory and never given the full rights as a US state, but the United Kingdom has been ruled as a unified body for over 300 years? No other country does this does it, do they? Catalonia doesn't play separate from Castile or Sicily and Sardinia despite all of them having equally separate histories and political status as autonomous regions.
tl;dr - What makes Britain sooo special?
For me personally, I think the 49ers will have it rough despite starting 2-0, because they still have to play the remainder of the AFC North, besides the Bengals, as well as their own division which is shaping up to be quite hard.
I think the Giants technically have the best chance to turn it around provided Daniel Jones pans out. Theyβve already got one Dallas game out of the way, and the rest of the division looks vulnerable. They may have to play the Pats, but that also means getting to play the jets and dolphins.
