Tl;dr:

It sucked. Worse than I thought was possible. I was extremely bored until the end, then I laughed my ass off.

Anyway, let's start the show!

Episode 5: Dumb Knows Dumb

We open with Moiraine and Lan not being concerned at all that they've lost track of the prophesied savior of the world, the man who is (ostensibly) being hunted by every Darkfriend this side of the Wheel of Time adaptation writing room. A man whose life and safety are the only thing standing between the world and total annihilation at the hands of the Dark One.

Instead they've decided to take a scenic detour and bury some Useless Side Characters. Only they are retarded so they don't bury them six-feet under, so the wild animals will be around soon to dig up the corpses of their friends and spread their guts all over the forest. Apparently, the Aes Sedai can't even perform a burial without fucking it all up.

Anyway, I should be fair and say that the show has done everything in their power to NOT let the audience know how important the Dragon Reborn is; so this is pretty much par for the course.

No tension? No problem! Who needs things like tension and a sense of urgency when we could have long shots of Random Side Character #47 looking weepy while Random Side Character #36 does some weird throat-singing thing.

Finally, after like three minutes of this shit, we get to skip the credits, and we are immediately met with big words that say: "1 Month Later."

Something tells me in that month, Moiraine and Lan have done absolutely nothing to find or even look for the person they've dedicated their entire lives to finding.

The show immediately confirms my suspicion, and shows Moiraine and Lan casually joking while they casually ride up to the White Chode Tower.

Moiraine then says they'll probably find the kids in Not Caemlyn, and if not there then... somewhere.

Okay, but... what the fuck are you talking about? How the fuck

RHOA, S8E10, 2016

Lauren and Porsha talk through the issues about Porsha being mad about Lauren's pregnancy, and Porsha asks why she told her so late. Lauren says she was worried she'd upset Porsha, as she's the older sister and wanted kids before her.

Kenya and her father go to a family reunion in Detroit and on the way Kenya makes a stop at her mother's house and knocks at the door. She hears her mom lock the door, but her mom never acknowledges her despite her pleas from outside and Kenya leaves broken-hearted, and her dad tells her he told her so. Once at the family reunion, Kenya decks everyone out in t-shirts with "Kenya's Family Reunion" on them, and calls her grandma - the one who raised her - a "sassy raccoon". Excuse me, what?

Kyle, forever tainted by season two's game night, hires a professional game night planner - Dana - I'm kidding, their name is Cal. When the women arrive, Dorit fawns over Eden calling her "adorable" and "a beautiful girl", and talks about liking skinny dipping and practically invited Eden to a heated pool.. and this is the same woman who didn't defend Denise, alright! Dorit even asks Eden if she's a lesbian.

The women bring up panty gate - again, as there's nothing the Beverly Hills women like more than Chilean sea bass and a beating a horse that's just bones - and Kim Richards asks why it's a big deal at their age for a woman not to wear underwear. I've been thinking I would like to talk about one of the most important factors of ANY otome game since they are crucial: the MC. Please share your personal opinion on your preference in character, design, voices etc. What you like/dislike or what you would like to see more (or less) in them. It's also helpful to refer to examples that either prove what you loved or hated in them (which often can save the day/game or ruin it). If you do so please be considerate and use spoiler tags if needed.

So I will make a start with something I've noticed... Just to make it clear I ("usually") don't play games where I absolutely hate the MC or I would stop in the middle of it. But there are cases I have been pushed to my limit. One type of character nobody wants to see is one with a bland personality (or none at all). One huge example of this is Haruka Nanami from Utapri BUT I admit that my mind could be changed about that since I only watched the anime. And at least there I find her character rather boring (is it the same in the game?). Sorry I don't have any other example but if you refuse to play anything with characters you absolutely dislike it's not too easy to find one and I apologize in advance if she's actually more refined in the game (which is highly possible due to the amount of parts these adaptations leave out) but I needed a contrast for an example where I think the "insert yourself" type of character actually works. Which is the MC from Amnesia. I know she receives a lot of criticism for actually being bland but I personally like her very much. She doesn't stand out too much but in some way she's relatable. She also gives off some calm vibes and is rather "normal" compared to others which is refreshing and just goes to show you don't always need a character that stands out from the crowd. Also given the fact >!she loses her memories and what led to it!< I think they did a great job in portraying her. Another contrast example of this would be the MC from Ozmafia which... I can't really hate on her since I don't remember a single trait from her. I might as well played as a tree branch instead. So... Well. I think you should at least be able to remember a character or some of their outstanding features.

Speaking of memory loss and MCs... I'm still currently playing Taisho x Alice (Snow White's route) so I might not be able to form a complete opinion about Yurika yet but what I've seen so far I sadly have to admit I don't really understand why peo

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.

Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

Alot of great jokes get posted here! However just because you have a joke, doesn't mean it's a dad joke.

This isn't a personal story per se...but the information I gave a friend after a 'Nutrition Center' went after a friend who went into analyphalactic shock and lost hair after drinking one of these 'shakes' that she was told was all natural.

When she warned others about her experience, the nutrition shop publicly trashed her AND called the police on her, reporting her for harassment, filed a false police report on her to get a restraining order against her, and actually threatened her by saying Herbalife's attorneys would ruin her. (TDLR on that...my friend got an attorney, went to court, and the nutrition center didn't show up.)

When she was going through this BS, I did a ton of research for her to give to her attorney should it be necessary...and wrote the below letter for her to share on her FB page, which her atty. recommended against at the time. I'm sharing what I wrote for her and links I shared with her, editing out the name of the 'Nutrition Center' in the event you might decide to do an episode on Herbalife 'nutrition centers'.

I'm sure many people have been in my position but I would love some advice or comebacks to some of the things my mother is saying to me. A bit of back ground I am the youngest of 3 children and my siblings are 9 and 12 years older than me and I'm 24. I'm sure my mother assumed they would have had kids already but alas they haven't. I mentioned that I didn't like the idea of having kids when she was bringing up my cousins visiting for xmas they are 6-12 yrs old. Well that didn't go very well and now she keeps sending me pictures of children dressed in cute Halloween costumes with the comment of " if you had a daughter she would wear this" and if I ever see some cute children's thing ( I like dinosaurs sue me) she says "now see if you had a child i would buy it for them" like ok a $20 dollar children's toy from you isnt going to convince me to pop one out. Any advice on how to deal with these comments or some sassy comebacks??
