Do samoyeds make a good therapy dog for visiting children’s hospitals, senior citizen homes, and schools etc.? We are getting our Sammy puppy at the end of this month and I would really like to get him certified as a therapy dog once he is trained and also an adult. Has anyone had experience with therapy work and their Sammy? I would love any tips. Thanks!!!

I am actually just stuck on what to do, Luna has been on a weird poop journey since beginning of December... Starting from diarrhea, loose stools, diarrhea, loose stools, sometimes firm, but mostly soft... We've been to the vet multiple times and she was out on GI diet and I really don't know if it's even working too because her poops are just like ice cream consistency. Assumed she was allergic to chicken... So I stopped the GI prescription diet and transitioned her to Salmon and Rice Sensitive Stomach and Skin.

In November she was considered pretty slim so vet aims to feed her about 1200 to put more meat on her so I have been doing that since literally at the end of November. I feed her 3 cups a day.

But now it's January, she just successfully transitioned to her new Salmon kibbles and her poop literally still ice cream texture. Sometimes can form into normal poop but when I pick it up it sticks to the ground and it's soft. AGH she use to have NORMAL FIRM POOPS.

My question/assumption is that maybe I am overfeeding her? I heard that can make dogs poop soft. I feed her 2.5 cups for these new kibbles (to aim for the 1200 cal) but now I feel maybe it's still too much for her stomach to take it.

Honestly I don't know what to think anymore. This is getting frustrating and not even sure if it's still worth to go to the vet because the GI Prescription diet is WAY to expensive.

Hi everyone! Wondering if anyone has had similar experiences or just thoughts about what just happened. I was at a dog park that I go to about every other day - it’s on the smaller side and in a neighborhood, but fenced in which is a huge plus for me since we’re in the city. My Sammy was playing with two other dogs when a neighbor came to the park and said that one dog had been barking for the past half hour (“I understand, dogs need to go outside, but one dog has been barking for the past half hour and it’s a LITTLE too much”, something like that). He wasn’t extremely rude, but he was demeaning. I immediately said it was my dog and quickly left without saying anything else to the man. My dog (and other dogs) bark a lot at that park and I’ve never been asked to leave by someone who lives nearby. I was very frustrated, thinking to myself, hey buddy if you don’t like dogs, maybe don’t move next to a dog park. Has anyone ever had an experience like that? Sorry I’m venting about this, but I thought if anyone might be able to relate it might be other Samoyed owners. Thanks!

Who are the people behind Samoyed Coin? Where can I find information about the team, source code, etc? Where can I read the white paper? I'm interested in it but can't find any such information which makes me skeptical of the project. In my opinion it's in this community's interest to make it more accessible to increase the legitimacey of the project. After all everyone know who created and is working on shib and doge, and they both have widely accesible white papers.
