I have never travelled to the far North Okanagan. Briefly visited Vernon twice but never more then a few hours while travelling.
Never been to the Shuswap region. Seen online photos and it looks beautiful...like all of the Okanagan region.
I'm probably going to be moving/living in Penticton in the next few years and i will want to explore other communities on day trips. Seeing as the Shuswap Lake region is only 2 hours, 40 minutes drive by vehicle ( from Penticton) i would love to go check out Salmon Arm and whatever nearby for 4-5 hours, then drive back to home base.
I just read that Salmon Arm is one f the top, best communities to live in Canada . But i'd ike to read if this is true from a local's perspective.
