A list of puns related to "Saab 9 3"
I'm getting 270 miles from a full tank right now on my 2004 Saab 9 3 Linear before the fuel light turns on. Really thinking this isn't good fuel economy but it is a 17 year old car in Texas. What could cause this? I've got a few month old air filter installed, new thermostat, new factory recommended sparks, stock yellow top coilpacks, gotten a wheel alignment, proper pressure in tires, no aggressive driving. Only thing I suspect is cleaning the maf and replacing the O2 sensor. Any ideas?
I bought an '04 9-3 with 170k miles for $900 off Craigslist. Cylinder 3 misfires under load, something I was aware of when I bought it. I'm gonna change the spark plugs as step 1 to dealing with this issue. I know that people strongly recommend using OEM spark plugs with this car, but they cost $16 each (NGK double platinum PFR6T-10G.) I see plugs made by the same brand for under $5 each (NGK platinum BKR6EGP.) How important is using the OEM plugs vs the regular platinum plugs from the same brand?
Anyone know what the issue could be?
Was hoping for a little help from the Saab community with an issue I ran into yesterday. Went to start my car and would crank and crank, but no start. I could hear and feel the fuel pump working when turning the ignition and half-tank of gas. Finally got it started after unplugging the battery for 5 minutes. It also cold-started this morning too, but was a little driving sluggishly - presume it's in limp mode. It's throwing codes P0638 and P0685. After reading around it sounds like it could be a number of things from the throttle body vs a bad ground wire. Haven't spent too much time under the hood yet but I haven't found anything suspicious yet.
Thanks
Hi all,
I have a few DTC codes that I get from my cheap OBDII scan tool that I'm hoping some of you can shed some light on, as when doing some quick research pulls up mixed results from forums, although some are helpful and informative. The codes are: P2228, P0171, P0691, P1682, P2142 and B3057. I know the basics of what some of these codes represent but what is my course of action in eliminating them?
Does anyone know how different the facelift rear bumper is to the bumper from a 2006 Aero V6? I know the 2007+ bumper fits directly onto the 2006, however, what I would like to know is if the diffuser part is different from each one.
The Maxton Design diffuser says it's only for 2007+ but I wonder if it can be modified to fit a 2006, or if it actually fits directly. https://www.maxtondesign.co.uk/body-kits/saab/saab-9-3-aero/rear-valance-saab-9-3-aero-mk2
Greetings everyone, Iβve been wondering how could I drastically improve the handling of my car? (Besides tire company and lighter wheels)
Any recommendations? Any guidance and help is appreciated :)
Hi all. I have a 2002 Saab 9-3 Se I recently picked up as a second car to drive around. After driving my older brothers 2 viggens he had I wanted to pick up a SE or viggen - Whichever came first.
So long story short I have had this car about 5 months. It's been a great reliable car. Just passed inspection with morning wrong. Recently replaced the spark plugs, valve cover gasket, Turbo bypass valve, turbo control valve. As soon as this winter ends I am going to replace all of the boost lines, replace the entire cooling system lines with Do88 silicone lines, replace the turbo most likely with a viggen turbo, do an open air intake a tune, bigger intercooler and that's pretty much it for now.
The car has 195k on it. Runs like a top. So recently I started turning off traction control and flooring it in first gear and shifting into second. It's for no reason at all but to have fun. I usually do it if its wet out, sometimes I do it when its dry. My question is if I keep doing this am I going to damage my clutch? Also with the car at 195k do you think it could handle a tune like I was talking about?
Anyone know any websites that i would be able to purchase a new/used front bumper there are cracks from the old owner parking to close and it catching on stuff. it's the old body style so i'm having a hard time finding one
Hey, We've all see the new f-150's new max recline seats. I know that a few others cars have had this like the saab 9-3 and the Honda Element.
I'm looking at buying my first car soon (probably a very used camry/accord or civic/corolla) and I would love to know if anyone knows of a way to make any passenger seat do that? Is it possible to put honda element seats (from a junkyard) in a camry?
To be clear! I only want to make the front passenger seat go completely flat
I'm going to be spending a lot of time in my car next year and would love to be able to lie down to take a quick nap.
If someone knows a better way to sleep in a reliable, fuel efficient car, please let me know!!!
Just replaced the ignition on my 1999 saab-9-3 and a message saying the key isn't accepted came up. I tried both keys and neither of them work. This is my first time really doing any work on a car and any help would be really appreciated.
Hello Iβm wondering what spark plugs I need for my car, and if anyone knows a decent place to get them from to deliver to the uk. Thanks.
I am looking to buying a base manual coupe 2001 9-3 that has 101k miles. It has a bunch of new parts on it and the owner maintaned it very well but I am wondering what to look out for and what is known to go out on those models. I am a college student that does a lot of highway driving to work and am in the search of something that will be fun and somewhat reliabile while i am in college.
Here is part of the description for it including all the parts he did: Car has rust on rear quarter panels, and has a couple dings and dents and scratches but nothing major. And a cat back exhaust Pros: New brake calipers New break rotors New brake pads New wheel hubs New turbo New oil pan & gasket New oil pickup Newer tires New valve cover gasket New spark plugs and coil pack New driver side tie rod Newer struts Newer front sway bar Newer front control arms Newer hubs Newer clutch New window tint Cons Needs cornering lights Needs rust work needs body work Needs speakers
Title says it all. Lost my only working key at the airport. Donor CIM with key arrives today. I now also have a new cut key ready to add. Hoping to replace CIM at the airport rather than tow to Southwest Auto.
Anyone in the area willing to come to DFW for a fee?
