A list of puns related to "Run for Cover (Lee Perry song)"
I laughed a bit when they praised the fact that I "was not a jazz noodler."
I think what it really equates to is "every other sax player we've tried out had a hard time playing in guitar keys."
Anyway, last time I was gigging regularly I never really had much input on song selection. I would show up, they'd play what they'd written or what they were covering and say "Can you figure out something to fill the space or take a solo here?" and that was about it.
While they make me roll my eyes pretty hard, Careless Whisper and Turn the Page have already been added to the group's google doc sheet (not by me). All i've come up with on my own as far as suggestions go are Money, and Lady Madonna.

The Purge Continues. Adult responsibilities, a small house, and a toddler means that I do not have a lot of time to listen to records and I am transitioning out of the game. Sold a lot here, never had any issues and am pretty pleasant to deal with. Have a 99.3% seller rating on Discogs so not new to this. Shipping is $5 which means a brand new mailer and tracking (I use Paypal G&S).
Not currently interested in trades of any sort. I will ship any orders from the weekend out on Monday as I need to get some more mailers this weekend. (You'll get tracking #s Sunday or Monday). Make offers!

I would like to get together with aspie members of this sub and others to record parts for a cover. I thought we could do something like People Are Strange by the Doors (am open to suggestions)
I can play guitar and bass, and I like to sing. But I want EVERYONE who wants to contribute to do so, even in the most unconventional way.
Everyone who contributes will be included, and I'll get the video and audio mixed and release it. This is not for any gain, personal or commercial. I will not own the material you give, only using by permission.
If this gets popular I'll buy the stems from https://www.karaoke-version.com/custombackingtrack/the-doors/people-are-strange.html and share them here. They're really easy to follow along to as it's each part isolated
Please record audio the highest quality you can (but anything will be accepted, I'll get it cleaned up)
Also if you want please record video... You don't have to show your face, but if you're stimming on your lap to the drum beat I WANT TO SEE It! Higher quality is obv better but there's charm to moar jpg
You can PM me a link to your file and once we have the full song I'll do an edit and share it here! You can put on headphones (noise canceling accepted) if you're listening to the song to follow along. Just a special interest of mine to help bring us together. We're so often alone... Let's do something cool together!
I'm going to record a guitar and vocal part tonight and I'll share them here
This is the best tl;dr I could make, original reduced by 57%. (I'm a bot)
> CLAIM Aerosmith once decided to play their set list in reverse, then opened a concert with their encore and mistakenly walked off the stage.
> FALSE RATING ORIGIN. The pop music concert industry has come a long way since the mid-1960s, when groups like the Beatles would undertake tours during which they played for less than half an hour, performing the same rigid set list of a dozen recent songs at each stop.
> Although some artists stick with relatively unvarying set lists throughout their tours, others have taken a variety of approaches towards mixing things up: shuffling different songs in and out of their list every few shows, offering a completely different set list at every stop, or resorting to gimmicks such as playing only audience requests, inviting fans to vote on what music they should perform, or even selecting songs completely at random.
> A legend which plays on the subject of set lists holds that during one of their shows in the 1970s, Aerosmith, for reasons unknown, decided to shake things up by playing their set in reverse, beginning with the encore and ending with the opening number.
> There's a famous story about Aerosmith playing a gig in the '70s when they came on stage, having decided to reverse their set list.
> Having said that, there was one occasion when we played the same song twice because we'd forgotten we'd already played it.
