A list of puns related to "Room to Breathe (Delbert McClinton album)"
An interesting listen!
We're all humans. We all need space from time to time. This idea that's sometimes perpetuated online, on social media, or in other media (movies, TV shows, etc.) that men are mindless creatures or are always after sex is asinine to me. Sometimes, just like you, we want or need space for our own personal reasons - that may or may not have anything to do with you.
My fiancee is the sweetest woman in the world and I love her to death, but sometimes I can be on the couch upset about something (not sad upset - more mad or frustrated) and I'll be trying to get something done on my phone or laptop or otherwise. And she'll come sit literally right next to me, and/or touch me, or get cuddly, or whatever it is, and in those moments it absolutely drives me nuts. I respect that she's doing it because she loves me and maybe sometimes she's trying to "get busy." That all being acknowledged and said, it also bothers me that A) she's not respecting that maybe I need to be left alone for a bit, and B) that if it were the other way around, and she was visibly stressed or rushing or frustrated, and I started to try to get cozy, she or most women would be like "are you kidding me right now?" But then for some reason it's okay for it to go the other way around? Just doesn't make sense to me.
Plus it bothers me big time that men are never or rarely depicted in media as needing space. We need it too.
Just needed to get that off my chest.
I love music composition and production, and I hope to one day turn that into a sustainable career for myself. However, for the past few months I've been dealing with some pretty serious depression, and it left me unable to write anything during all that time, but recently I was finally able to make something that wasn't just a 0:20 snippet of a half finished idea. But something about it kinda bothered me.
I decided to show some friends and asked for criticism. They told me it seemed like there wasn't enough room to breathe and the melody didn't really give enough time for your brain to process it, and I realized this was the case. But after looking back on older music, I realized this issue has been consistently prevalent, and for the life of me I can't figure out how I can add more space without sacrificing something I feel would mess up my original phrasing. So I was hoping I could get some advice from this sub, whether through technical/academic concepts or just your own personal techniques in how you handle this.
Here is a link to the music for context.
TL;DR I need advice on how I can make melodies less overwhelming and how to add more breathing room.
Hi okay i know air purifiers exists and i know fans exists but like what to get that encompasses this to make my room better. i currently living on campus and my ac SUCKKKSS and the window being open lets stinkbugs in ew. Also i have allergies and its just too humid. Usually iβm like whatever but this time i wanna make my room a livable nice space since i been spending a bit more time in it.
Btw i would like the thing to be able to fight against mold and have it be hepa or whatever as i think this dorm has mold as ive heard from my friends who also live here yuck!
idk where else to ask this and my question was too stupid for google
thanks π !
When ever you are short of breath and have such awareness to the amplitude of you attempting to recover from what ever it was, e.g., any situation you come into a room which is suppose to maintain silence and you become anxious about it. In retaliation, you decide to take one big controlled breath, but end up trying to hold it. By doing so, your breath is shaky which only heightens the increasing anxiety that everyone can only hear you.
EDIT: Here a quick sketch of the room. The ratios arent accurate, but the numbers should check out.https://imgur.com/a/Z24LkRz
EDIT2: I didnt expect so many to still participate! Thank you guys. Here an update to the current situation: https://imgur.com/a/Bqo9Rhs
I really enjoyed this album, and I hope Binyot does something like this again. I know it wasnβt necessarily a red vox album, and itβs entirely possible he wonβt do something like that again, but I thoroughly enjoyed it and would be glad if he made something similar.
