A list of puns related to "Robert Harrington"
Just came across this book while looking for self help literature and workbooks. I was wondering if it's any good and has anybody here read it or heard about it. Also it would be really great if you could suggest some other books to read. Thanks.

... keep reading on reddit β‘Hello there! First of all, I hope you all have a great year 2022. I feel that this is going to be a great year, for many would-be projectors will finally achieve the out-of-body experience. To contribute to that I decided to write an extensive post with Astral projection instructions, FAQs with my answers, personal tips, book recommendations and resources to start the year strong! That being said, letβs start.
ASTRAL PROJECTION TERMINOLOGY
Before we move onto the following sections, I am aware that we use a lot of terms and acronyms in the subreddit which may be confusing for the newcomer. Because of this, I wrote this post a few months ago which covers the most used terms and acronyms in the AP community. Link: Astral Projection Terminology Post
HOW TO ASTRAL PROJECT: QUICK INSTRUCTIONS
There are many, many Astral projection methods and techniquesβtherefore to keep things simple, I will explain a very basic and universal strategy that happens to be the one that made me have my first out-of-body experience. When someone needs somewhere to start, I tend to explain this simple strategy due to my early successes with it. Hereβs how to do it:
Lie down, close your eyes and relax. Preferably be in a comfortable position.
Visualize, as vividly as possible, that you stand up from your bed and start moving around your house/apartment/office/wherever your body is. See how your point of view changes from staring at the ceiling from your bed, to seeing your room while standing up, then waking towards the hallway (or just opening a window and jumping outside), and so on. Do this with as much detail as possible, but donβt try to force it.
You can incorporate other senses as well to make your immersive experience more convincing and realistic. As an example, you can use your imaginary hands to grab the doorknob to open the doorβdonβt just see how you do it; feel it! Feel the metallic texture and the smoothness of its surface. Also feel how your legs move and your feet touch the floor when you walk. Donβt just see how your legs move, but actually feel it. Incorporating auditory perceptions will make it even more real: the door creaking when opened, the sound of your feet as you walk, and so on.
Explore as much as you want. For instance, get out to the street and explore your neighborhood. Feel the warmth of the sun on your skin, or the

Yea. Your right.
But I'm not simplistic when it comes to sports so...
Here is - Why are rookie QB's struggling this season?
Mark Sanchez was on the Speak For Yourself show with Marcellus Wiley and Emmanuel Acho a couple weeks ago and a conversation about the reasons rookie QBβs are struggling came up. At the time starting rookie QBs were 1-10 on the season. Acho was blaming the expectations on QBs being way too high and that they canβt live up to those expectations. He was not blaming Trevor Lawrence, Zach Wilson, Mac Jones, Justin Fields, Bill Belichick, Matt Nagy, Urban Meyer, etc. Sanchez was kinda in agreement with Acho saying that there is some blame on the head coaches and QBs but then brought up an interesting take. Sanchez said βsince 2008, before 2008, that's our line of demarcation. Before 2008, it was totally normal to get your 1st round draft pick quarterback and sit his ass the entire year. It was what you did. You know why? Because he had to learn. There are too many things that heβs not prepared for. Heβs just not, and you canβt do it without the experience and practice.β Sanchez then gives examples of the rookie QBs not knowing what the locker room and road trips are like, getting into a routine and knowing how to watch film. He then brings up Matt Ryan and Joe Flacco. The 2 rookie QBs who changed the way how teams now look and use rookie QBs. Both Ryan and Flacco made the playoffs in their rookie season and both had QBrec of 11-5-0. So I wanted to see what the total number of games played, starts and QBrec from 1st round QBs from 1995-2020.

Don't get me wrong. I do think heightism exists but I think with short celebrities, it's sort of coming after the fact! What do I mean?
How often have you heard short yet successful celebrities don't disprove the fact short people face discrimination. Or that short celebrities being heart throbs don't disprove women preferring taller men? The explanation is always that these celebrities are already rich, famous and "good looking".
Well, this doesn't make sense because the point is that how did these celebrities make it in the first place. How did these celebrities get cast for leading roles. Like Tom Cruise, Al Pacino, Dustin Hoffman or more recently Tom Holland, to a lesser extent Robert Downey Jnr, Mark Ruffalo, Oscar Isaac, Kit Harrington etc etc. These are all celebrities who have played leading men and have been highly successful, even as romantic leads and partners. Of course it can be argued they are all good-looking, but this is highly subjective. Usually "good looking" is affected by onscreen persona, talent, style, fashion, grooming, fitness, and plain recognition!
The truth is I don't know the answer to the question, but I find often with these actors, the heightism comes after the fact. So usually these actors are cast, have wonderful performances, but people than Google their private lives, realize they are short and turn it into a meme. The heights of these actors are never obvious onscreen and nobody really cares. It may be noticeable, but their personas and acting usually wins the audience over. So I think this "after-heightism" is what the real problem is.
Obviously Chris Evans as Freddie Freeman...

The recent entry into the South African War has caused quite a stir in the Midterm races, with many candidates changing the focus of their campaigns to their stance on the War. As such, pro & anti-war camps have formed in both of the Parties, while the ANP has effectively collapsed due to the sharp rise in patriotism & anti-Nazi sentiment. Although the two camps are referred to as pro & anti-war, the anti-war camp isnβt necessarily against involvement, they primarily disagree with the conduct of the war, and many want to see General LeMay reprimanded or sacked. In response, LeMay has doubled down, and has faced even more criticism for publicly calling certain politicians βspineless cowardsβ and other, less polite, names.
Republican Party
Goldwater has received criticism for his seemingly lax leadership in the last few months. The footage & photographs that have come out of South Africa, showing the devastation wrought by "Bombs Away" LeMay's indiscriminate bombing campaign and use of napalm & white phosphorus. Goldwater has not made any commitments on either way on a course of action towards LeMay. The Republicans are for the most part in agreement with Goldwater's policies, however, there are significant disagreements on economic & foreign policy. In support of Goldwater's more free market approach and Freidman's economic theories are the conservative Republicans, while in support of more government regulations, trade unions, and welfare are the so-called "Rockefeller Republicans." However, the disagreement on foreign policy has brought people from both of the factions together into pro & anti-war camps. Some of the prominent members of the pro-war camp are Gov. Nelson Rockefeller, Sen. Hiram Fong, Sen. Edward Brooke, Sen. George H.W. Bush, and Sen. Spiro Agnew. On the anti-war side, who call for General LeMay to be restrained, reprimanded, and/or removed from his position, some of the few prominent, or at least vocal, members are Sen. Henry Bellmon and Gov. George Romney.
Democratic Party
The Democrats are much more ideologically diverse than the Republicans. Having absorbed the vast majority of the former SPA, the number of factions that now exist within the Party has once again grown. The most prominent faction is Gov. George Wallace's Populists, who support workerβs rights, subsidies to States for their own social security & Medicaid programs so that they can be more efficiently run by each Sta

First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

Do you have a favourite book featuring middle-aged MCs?
And did you know that, apart from the occasional blog post, there wasn't any reference list about this type of books? Until today that is, because I went ahead and made one.
Here is the link to a NOW OFFICIALLY existing GoodReads Listopia list on the matter:
https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/168065.Fantasy_Books_With_Middle_Aged_MCs
I set this list up and added every single fantasy book with Middle Aged MCs that I could find.
102 titles in total up till now, but lots of them are just the first in series.
It's not complete. By far I think. But for now these were all I could dig up. And I figure my little list might be helpful for other readers out there too.
For those of you who cannot access the link, or want everything in one post, I'm setting all the titles below. In alphabetical order.
And if you know any other titles that I missed, can you let me know in a comment below please? So that I can add them.
π€Happy reading everyone and be kindπ€

Kindle Unlimited has been a feast and a famine to self-published as well as small press publishers throughout the internet. It provides a chance to get books out to a much larger audience than might normally be achieved and turns the Amazon algorhythm from friend to foe. At least theoretically. However, there's a certain level of caveat emptor to be found when trying to find your next monthly rental. There are many Kindle Unlimited books which stand up to the mainstream publishers in terms of writing, editing, and presentation. There are also many Kindle Unlimited books that do not.
As an avid reader, indie author, and semi-professional reviewer, I've read a lot of Kindle Unlimited books over the years. As such, I have decided to compile a list of twenty ones that do not suck. In fact, they're all quite good and entertaining. Why twenty? Well, that is the maximum number you can check out before having to return one. I actually dare say all of these books are worth buying directly rather than using the Kindle Unlimited feature but that's because I enjoy supporting authors directly. Even so, reading the books helps and that's all that matters.
For this collection of books, I've done my best to only select one example from each author as well as try to make an eclectic collection of science fiction, fantasy, grimdark, and noblebright. Really, I could fill this entire collection with nothing but cyberpunk entries. However, I already did one of those and recommend people check them out. I'm pretty sure there's something for everyone here and I hope you'll give them a look.
20. Brutal: A Sword and Sorcery Fantasy by James Alderdice
James Alderdice is an author who enjoys writing old school Sword and Sorcery titles with antiheroes possessing mighty thews and Spaghetti Western morality. His nameless protagonist here goes to a town divided between two wizards and a scheming Duchess that is a obvious (as well as deliebrate) homage to A Fistfull of Dollars. I really enjoyed this one and note that he includes more than a few Conan references only actual Howard fans will get.
19. A Wizard's Forge by AM Justice
AM Justice crafts a wonderful world where human settlers have settled down on a planet and reverted to barbarism. Only our plucky heroine's people remember the scientific truth. Unfortunately, she ends up a slave and brainwashed by a gas-lightin
... keep reading on reddit β‘I have seen on many occasions, on this and other boards, people making lists of the best SF titles. They usually tend to be very selective, because of their personal reading habits and types of SF they like. So I decided to make my own list, using as impartial selection methods as I could.
I decided to rely on Goodreads for its huge number of raters. However, you cannot simply look at the average rating, because many authors have grossly high ratings because their fans give all their titles the maximum rating. So you have to be a little more clever to get an accurate rating of a given title.
I looked at the number of times a title has been shelved as science fiction on Goodread, compared to how many ratings it got. People tend not to shelve a title unless they actually think it's good, regardless of what rating they give it. I also included the average rating as part of my formula, because this does still have some value . Because my formula relies on ratios rater than absolute numbers, it works on less well-known titles as well.
I also only included titles that have been shelved as science fiction at least 100 times, otherwise I would be faced with many thousands or tens of thousand of titles, which would be completely unworkable to process by hand.
I ended up creating two lists, one for titles with publication dates up to 2010, and the other for publication dates after 2010. The post-2010 titles had ratings that were all inflated about two points, no doubt due to recency bias. My theory is that the majority of ratings in more recent titles were given by people who were not familiar with the older SF, and hence had no external standard of reference to grade the titles. So they end up giving the title a higher rating that it deserves, compared to older but equal-quality titles. And since the number of their ratings make up the majority of the totals for recent titles, the average ratings are inflated.
I also made a general rule of only one title per series, with a very small number of exceptions, otherwise this list would be much longer. That single title is usually the first book in the series, unless a later title is both greatly superior, and does not need the first book to be read first for understanding. If you like a given book, you are of course welcome to read more titles in that series.
A combined list of 200 "must-read" titles (basically, the top 200 titles according to the formula, that are eligible under the above rule)

Do your worst!
Hunter Biden is a total fraud with a long record of financial corruption in Ukraine, China and around the world. He used access to his Jesuit trained Roman Catholic daddy, current U.S. President Joe Biden, in order to secure millions of dollars in corrupt lobbying operations. Naturally, he is an incredibly easy target given his past, especially now with the embarrassing photos released from his laptop and Hunter's long record of drug abuse--Tucker Carlson hammers on these surface level issues of corruption almost every week on his program. Tucker will never ever take it to the Catholic question when talking about the Biden's, or any issue involving American politics for that matter. Tucker routinely calls the mass influx of immigrants over the Southern border a "invasion" without mentioning that the Catholic Church and the Jesuits in particular are the biggest sponsors of this invasion. U.S. President Joe Biden even wrote the forward to Jesuit priest Leo O'Donovan S.J.'s mass immigrant invasion tract Blessed are the Refugees : https://www.orbisbooks.com/blessed-are-the-refugees.html . This is the same Jesuit priest who gave the invocation at Biden's inauguration ceremony as U.S. President! (Jan. 20, 2021) : https://www.reddit.com/r/Jesuitworldorder/comments/p4c1ng/video_jesuit_priest_father_leo_odonovan_sj_gives/ Tucker is not an idiot, he knows he is a gatekeeper. Controlled opposition gatekeepers often tell lots of truths, the key is never revealing who are the forces behind the chaos we see in society today--or the man behind the curtain (The Pope). When one begins to analyze modern events and cross reference them with those in the past, all roads lead to Rome. Tucker knows of Dr. Anthony Fauci's overwhelming Jesuit and Vatican connections while criticizing him on his program--but he is silent on the Jesuit connections to Fauci. Tucker will call him "Saint Fauci", an obvious Catholic reference but wont go into any detail on Fauci's Jesuitical background. Examples of this are boundless, but back to the 'invasion' agenda Carlson gatekeeps for. The Jesuits mass invasion agenda has been publicly exposed by the 'right wing' press in America. Breitbart in 2019 wrote an article titled Jesuit Chief: No Country Has the Right to Turn Away Migrants : [https://www.reddit.com/r/Jesui

Hey everyone, I have been working on an analysis to review how draft picks for all 32 NFL teams have performed in their NFL careers from 2001 to today.
Before getting into how Washington has performed in recent years, a few quick notes about the analysis:

They were cooked in Greece.
I'm surprised it hasn't decade.
For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
I said "hey look, an escaPEA"
No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!
Edit: I can't believe how much this has blown up. Thank you everyone I've had a blast reading through the replies π
It really does, I swear!
Made all-time hometown rosters with original 30 NBA teams + 25 new teams to split populated areas and big teams (spreadsheet + map)
I used the top 969 players who have at least 10000 minutes played in their career.
Why 10000 minutes played? Because that's the lower standard set by Basketball-Reference to get on their ABA career leaderboard (15000 MP for NBA). I added George Mikan, because even though he hasn't played enough minutes, he's featured in All-Time ESPN NBARank and Bill Simmons Hall of Fame Pyramid.
I started off with the current 30 teams. To split up the Lakers and Clippers, I gave the Clippers their proposed Inglewood site.
As I looked at the map of player hometowns, I realized that there were:
Based off city population and arena size, I added 25 new teams.
I started off gathering hometowns due to this fantastic database by Reuben Fischer-Baum ([original article source here](https://deadspin.com/infographics-where-do-pro-basketball-players-come-from-5132615

The political realignment has continued with the explosive riots of young socialists across the nation. This has been a boon for Goldwater, due to the fact that the rest of his term has been peaceful, allowing him to place all the blame on the βun-American extremists.β Additionally, the already popular incumbent has picked, as his running mate, possibly the only man in America that is more popular than him, Walt Disney. With the Democrats having nominated the shady Sen. Johnson, the ANP doubling down on βwhite supremacy,β and with the split of the SPA, it appears as though this will be an easy win for Goldwater, but just like the last midterms, anything is possible.
Goldwater/Disney
Goldwater is running on the promise of continuing his current policies. He has made good on his promise to visit all 50 States, and he even visited Puerto Rico, where when asked about the status of the island, he stated that he was βopenβ to giving it Statehood. He hopes to increase the funding to the Department of Technology, so that America can win what has now been dubbed the βSpace Raceβ by being the first to the Moon & Mars, possibly even through increased cooperation with the United Kingdom. Meanwhile, Disney has been making many innovative television ads in both live action & cartoon. While it was well known that Disney was a huge supporter of Goldwater, it was a surprise to many that he accepted the VP nomination, although there is speculation that he accepted it as a trial run for a possible Presidential bid in β72, as Disney World & EPCOT are both nearing completion in Florida, leaving the future open for new opportunities.
Barry Goldwater, 36th President of the United States
Walt Disney, Founder & President of The Walt Disney Company
Johnson/Inouye
The Democrats have been running a very dysfunctional campaign, as Johnson continues to complain, sometimes not so privately, about his running mate. As a result Inouye has mostly stayed in D.C, preferring not to help his fellow Senator. Even major leaders such as Wallace & Humphrey have been reluctant to
