A list of puns related to "River regime"
Hello everyone, I hope I have come to the right place.
I need help identifying the regime of a river in Trentino, Italy. It is a heavily regulated river, of which I have the hydrometrical data of a station located some kilometers downstream a dam. Analyzing the data, I have observed that the river presents a very low flow (due to the water abstraction for power production) with very high and isolated peaks in the second half of the year.
My hypothesis is that these peaks are the result of sudden water releases from the dam, which occur because of heavy rains and maybe snow melt in the second half of the year. Do you think this is a reasonable explanation? What could be other reasons behind the high flow peaks?
Thank you in advance

Hello everyone, I hope I have come to the right place.
I'm working on a river restoration project and I need help identifying the regime of the Sarca river in Trentino, Italy. It is a heavily regulated river, of which I have the hydrometrical data of a station located some kilometers downstream a dam.
