A list of puns related to "Reyn Spooner"
Trying to remember when we saw this store in the background of an episode. Does anyone recall any details? Thanks!

Hi! Itβs my SOβs 40 this year and Iβm desperate to find an Aloha shirt from Reyn Spooner thatβs as old as he is :)
Does anyone know any good online shops to look at? Iβm not from here but my bf has heritage and roots tracing to Hawaii and I want to get something meaningful... we were suppose to visit Hawaii last year but pandemic happened... :(
Thanks in advance and I hope the people of Hawaii stay healthy π
Being from Hawaii this deal is a killer if you want/need aloha shirts. Saves you the trouble of paying full price for them.

May have been posted before by another OP so my bad, but I have been spending half my time during quarantine making drinks and the other half looking for this shirt online - hoping for size M. Already set up ebay and google alerts, but no luck. Any leads would be greatly appreciated, and if you're looking to sell yours then PM me! I'll pay top dollar.

Now that Lasseter isn't involved does anyone know if these shirts will be made for future Pixar movies?
http://imgur.com/a/kpL9X Two pairs of Reyn Spooner Bill Fisher Shorts Size 30 brand new with tags. The shorts have around a 17 inch outseam and around a 6 inch inseam. I would like to get $20 shipped for each including shipping. No international shipping unless you're willing to pay for it. Thanks for looking.
Where do you purchase them when they are new? I can only find them on ebay.
Here's my Grailed Wardrobe link, just hit me up if you're interested (open to negotiations/trades) or have any questions.
Hi, I will be visiting next week and would like to know if anyone has suggestions/recommendations for premium Aloha shirts besides Tori Richards and Reyn Spooner. Specifically I am looking for men's long sleeve shirts with unique prints/designs. Thank you! Budget ($100-200 / shirt).
I bought a vintage Hawaiian shirt. The problem is it's a XXL. I have never shrink anything before even accidentally. I am a medium but can do an XL (female, I'll make it work). I was thinking about drying it on high heat, does anyone have suggestions on shrinking it without it piling or ruining the printed design?
Edit: I forgot to include it's from 2000 and has been in storage. It was never washed or worn. The brand is Reyn Spooner.
Edit part 2: it's 100% percent cotton
..that Armand is wearing in episode six. You know, the pink Hawaiian one. Anyone got any leads?
I found some at Walmart and Target but they are terrible. Fit around my opu but the arms are super long and wide. And the buttons only go down so far...one breeze and everyone sees my ugly belly. I have events coming up and need to dress nice, any help would be great. Looking for under $100, preferably under $50. Mahalo in advance.
Hi r/surfing,
While looking for a single fin, I came across a few that have rad embedded graphics. Obviously, the way the fin looks doesn't make a damn bit of difference...but I like riding on a board that I think looks good.
With that said - I'm having a hard time finding them. Captain Fin Co has a few, and there are some random ones on Amazon.
Anyone know of any companies that make unique looking, fiberglass single fins? Bonus points for a small business or individual that I can support.
Thanks!
It's good to be back.
My latest story is up over on The Cryptic Compendium - β β β ββ - Stud Finder Product Review.
A little backstory on this one, I had an eBay store for a short time where I flipped things I purchased at garage sales and thrift stores, mostly clothes because there was an abundance of vintage Hawaiian shirts in the shops around me and they were an easy thing to sell (Reyn Spooners especially).
While perusing the stacks of the local Goodwill, I found this ridiculously ostentatious American flag shirt with a bald eagle soaring over some Harley dude on a motorcycle. It was both awful and unironically glorious at the same time, would've felt right at home on r/ATGE. I had to have this shirt, and it was mine for the low low price of $2.99.
After purchasing it, it gave me the idea to do an eBay listing for it in the style of reviews for the famous 3 Wolf Moon shirt on Amazon. And while this amazing piece of America in shirt form never sold (to be honest I never wanted it to sell), I had a lot of fun writing the listing. I still have this shirt and wear it on occasion to family cookouts with my Suburban Dad attire of New Balance and khaki shorts.
I wrote a few more humorous listings on eBay, mostly for my own enjoyment for silly items that I didn't expect to sell. This story was originally written for an anthology that never came to pass, so I figure it would be a nice way to introduce myself to the readers at The Cryptic Compendium.
Do your worst!
I'm 6'6 and a healthy 235 with broader shoulders and absolutely jacked arms...........and a pooch with love handles.
I like to wear Hawaiian shirts. I've got Tommy Bahama size XL - a little short. I've got a Ralph Lauren Polo XLT - fits me like a circus tent. I've got Eddie Bauer XLT - good size but a little tight around the midsection. I recently bought a Reyn Spooner 2XL but it is a littttttllleee short but I also haven't washed it.
Price isn't a huge concern since I'm perfectly middle class and have the disposable income to blow on over priced shirts here and there.
Long story longer I'm searching for the perfect Hawaiian shirt with ridiculous print. Any thoughts?
For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
I said "hey look, an escaPEA"
No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!
Edit: I can't believe how much this has blown up. Thank you everyone I've had a blast reading through the replies π
It really does, I swear!
Hey everyone, I hope you're all doing well! :-) I was kind of surprised to see that this was a thing going on at the moment, and I just wanted to add some tidbits for anyone, buyers or sellers, as someone from Hawaii. It all depends on what you're looking for, what kind of things you prefer when it comes down to your style, so hopefully something in this is helpful! TL;DR included for those who don't want a Harry Potter novel.
TL;DR = It may say made in Hawaii on the tag, but it was commonplace for mainland based brands to put this on the tag to increase the value and profit off of the novelty that is the image of Hawaii. Your mileage will most definitely vary; the emulated styles of Aloha shirts that were and still are mass produced will feel off sometimes. Generally, Aloha shirts are known for their comfort and this can be found in affordable and mid-range priced brands, so your options are open depending on where you source your items! Muumuus traditionally often have specific style attributes (looser fit, ruffle detailing, etc.) but you can just list them dresses if you aren't sure. Sarongs CAN be dresses if chosen to be styled as such. Dresses ultimately are just dresses (wider range of fits, etc.), but with Aloha print lol.
A brief historical context:
Aloha dress in Hawaii is worn in all settings, professional and casual! The history of Aloha shirts, or Hawaiian shirts as they've come to be known as, is full of multicultural influence; they originally were made with Japanese prints by KΕichirΕ Miyamoto. The many cultures that were brought to Hawaii to support the sugar industry as laborers (such as Japanese, Chinese, Filipino, and Korean to name some) have had lasting impacts on our state. With my history nerd rant aside, we like sharing things here lol, and ofc I can't speak for all the people from my state, but the general consensus tends to be that it's a form of dress that anyone can sport regardless of background. If we care about anything, it's just that there is appreciation for where it comes from!
1) "Made in Hawaii" printed on the tag, but maybe not!
I first wanna mention that it may be a little hard to tell if it was really made in Hawaii or not; a lot about Hawaii is intensely commercialized and sold because tourism is such a necessary chunk of our economy, and a bunch of other reasons I could bore ya'll with. Main thing to note, somewhere along the line "made in Hawaii" was added to a lot of brands that weren't real
