A list of puns related to "Reverse racism"
Might get a lot of downvotes for this but omg. These posts are getting so weird, and Iβm seeing so many of them lately. We need to vent. I havenβt seen hate in this sub, but what I have seen is frustration, and we deserve a space to let that frustration go, to know we are not alone. Not all people suck, some do, and systemic oppression creates an environment where genuine good people who are part of the βhegemonyβ of a society reproduce oppression. For context: Iβm BIPOC. Not all white people are bad, but the white people who called me the n word, bullied me, threatened me for no reason, try to sabotage my education, my access to healthcare or were racist to me even without being fully aware of it (changing street because Iβm brown, avoiding me, thinking of me as a robber). Yeah they suck, and not all white people were like that to me, but most of them were, and all of them benefit from our oppression. But yeah, I needed to talk about those general experiences and saying βwhite peopleβ because they are benefiting from our oppression and are part of the systemic issue. I needed to understand that my pain was related to something more. They werenβt just bad people, they were also white and hated on me because I wasnβt. And calling that out is not βreverse racismβ
Similarly with Autism, NTs have historically made our life hell. Weβd been harassed, mistreated, mocked, even tortured. People in this sub just want to vent, even adding some satire. Itβs important to know you are not alone, that you didnβt imagine the mistreatment, that it happened. And itβs good to know that there is a community of people like you who you can connect with. I personally never understood what was βwrong with meβ and finding people who have similar experiences helped to get know myself. When people say βNTsβ¦β is usually to express frustration and look for understanding. No one is saying they should be abolished from existence or something, and if that happens, yeah we should call it out.
Yes, we are angry. I get angry sometimes, and I want to cry because of everything Iβve been through. But as long as we arenβt asking to hurt or hurting anyone, I think having a space vent is necessary. We can talk to other, help each other, know that we are not alone. We all experienced this. To the contrary, these posts that feel like our version of βreverse racismβ are, in some way, trying to shut down that space. But how can we advocate for change if we donβt recognize the problem? There is

A few weeks ago, Vowsh debated another online personality, Professor Flowers, where PF stated that she would not be opposed to Native Americans forcibly deporting all white people from the US. Voosh's fans, like the man himself, were largely not fond of this take, because, in their words, "genocide bad."
Fast forward to two days ago, when a user posts screenshots of providing Professor Flowers with a timestamp to where they say she says genocide is okay (clarified: a bad idea, but should remain on the table), and promptly getting blocked. Surely, surely no drama would happen in the comments of this, right?
Turns out user Nevermore_Bouquet has a lot of words to say on this issue.
BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE! Order today, and we'll throw in a second drama thread, ABSOLUTELY FREE
After user BreadOfJustice argued for awhile with NB, they decided to show off part of the back-and-forth to other Vorsch fans, calling NB a "mask off racist." To absolutely nobody's surprise, NB showed up in that thread too, causing checks notes one hundred and twenty comments of drama.
NB's first comment, which spawned over a hundred children
Featuring notable comment
>So if someone says they hate black people because 1350 that's not racism, it's material analysis?
and, by Nevermore_Bouquet themselves,
>>I don't care if white people as a population rate is declining. You know why?
>Because you're some suburban mayonnaise bitch, who's never existed in a culture or society that doesn't reflexively tend to your needs. You're a literal child.
and, the star of the show:
>You can't material analysis your way out of deez nuts
AND THAT'S NOT ALL!! Folks, have we got a deal for you! Call in the next fifteen minutes, and you'll get SPINOFF DRAMA, for no extra charge!

If I say "that haircut doesn't really suit you" to a black guy all of a sudden I'm a racist fuck who like to oppress people. And if they say likewise "u white, fuck you, guys are wrong and God can't save you, go kill urself, repent ur sins you white ass fucker. Fucking jump off a bridge there ain't a place for u here" and I get upset over that, I apparently hate black people. I was not allowed to hang out with an old friend because his mother didn't let him talk to white people. It fucking suck man. And after they verbally destroy u for being white, they are all like! That's for my great great great great great grandad bitch. Luke I didn't do anything. My family is from Ireland. We didn't do shit to u guys if yall parents where American. Ywt if I stand for my rights then I'm oppressing them.
This is going to be a hot take, and disclaimer I fall into about 5 minorities, one of which is a POC so I think I am definitely allowed to say stuff like this (race shouldn't even matter if what someone is saying is a good point, but either way):
This is all in light of the recent situation where Dream is being flamed for 'adding' Manatreed to the Dream SMP, as well as in light of him unfollowing a bunch of people on twitter. I have seen way too many people saying stuff such as "why's he adding a white person?" "it's always the white people getting fast clout, all of you still follow Dream just because you want to suck up to whites". There's many more, worse, statements that I just can't recall right now, but twitter, and general social media nowadays has a problem with constantly using their race as a weapon and a shield against others.
Let's try swapping those statements that I just put, but insert a minority. "why's he adding a black person?", "it's always the gay people getting fast clout, all of you still follow Dream just because you want to suck up to gays". Hmm that doesn't sound too good now does it? No, in fact, you'd probably be instantly cancelled by the entire internet if you tried saying stuff like that. But it's okay to say those exact phrases because they're white?
People fail to realize that generalization is the problem with racism, homophobia, etc. And that doesn't change simply because the person you're speaking to is part of a majority. Just because you had one bad experience with a white person doesn't mean you have the right to hate on all white people and say that they're all racist?? Why does the internet forget that every single person being spoken to is a real human being, and not just their race? "They've been torturing us for years, they deserve it." Oh they have been torturing 'us'? No actually, chances are, that person that you're yelling at for being white was just chilling on their laptop until they did something that made you jealous etc. The glaring fact is that none of the world is ever going to progress if hatred simply switches sides. It's time to stop thinking about people only as their race, and instead focus on their personality and actions. After all, isn't that what most minorities want?
(not encouraging colourblindness, instead encouraging being a decent human and looking past skin colour)
Just as the title says. My thinking is as follows:
The only way we can really 'test out' a definition of a term like racism is by seeing whether it aligns with our intuitions about the term. If a definition of racism has the consequence that something will count as racist that we wouldn't normally want to call racist (or vice versa), then this is good evidence that the definition we're working with is a bad one. People who defend the claim that reverse racism isn't real, to my knowledge, always subscribe to some version of a Power Plus Prejudice (PPP) definition of racism. That is, a definition of racism that restricts its scope to things done BY a member of a privileged/dominant race TO a member of a non-privileged/non-dominant race (NOTE: my use of privileged/dominant here refers to positioning in a social hierarchy, not inherent superiority/inferiority). PPP style definitions of racism entail the belief that reverse racism is impossible - e.g., given that people view whites as the most privileged/dominant race in a particular place, and given a PPP style definition of racism, it follows that nothing can be done to them that can be called racist, because racism requires 'punching down', so to speak.
Where I think this sort of definition of racism and, by extension, the view that reverse racism is impossible falls apart is that it contradicts our intuitions about what is and isn't racist in a number of cases. To show this, let's look at an admittedly extreme case: a group of members of race X (where X represents some non-privileged/non-dominant race - e.g. Black, Hispanic, Asian, etc.) go around indiscriminately killing members of race Y (where Y represents the privileged/dominant race). When apprehended, the murderers claim they did what they did because members of race Y are inherently inferior to members of race X and they need to be exterminated. Now, the question I want to ask is: are the actions of the murderers racist? I suspect they will strike you, as they do me, as EXTREMELY racist, but any PPP style definition of racism will tell us that, while these crimes might be horrible, they are not racist, since they are perpetrated against a privileged/dominant race by a non-privileged/non-dominant race. Since PPP style definitions of racism give us very counterintuitive results in these kinds of cases, they are bad definitions of racism.
The one olive branch I'm willing to extend here is that PPP style definitions of racism do seem to pi
... keep reading on reddit β‘I am a mixed-race African Latino and American . I have always heard from my parents that reverse racism does not exist and that white people were in superiority, to begin with, so "other races say things because of the stuff white people did to us" but I am not sure I understand because racism is being discriminated against because of your skin tone, ethnicity, and culture. So if a black person goes up to a whining person and says you don't know how to dance because of ____ then I don't know because if a white person said that to a black man it would be different. But I guess all of this boils down to the history of "white supremacy" and slavery and also the apartheid. I don't know please tell me your opinions
I want to know the concept behind the word "racist" meaning "prejudice to black people" when the word is "race+ist". isn't the definition "prejudice against a race?" I'm genuinely asking and want to learn about this. Could somebody teach me about this?
Here is some context:
I was asked at school if I believe in reverse racism and I asked what that meant. They rephrased their question and asked me if I thought that black people could be racist towards white people. I told them yes, because it is RACE ist and not blackist. Terrible choice of words, I know, but I'm dumb like that. I want to learn to respect these people so that I can appreciate them. I don't like disliking people, and when they have a statement like this, and idk any of the reasoning behind it (they won't tell me, I asked) it is hard for me to appreciate them as I appreciate everyone else. I am a Christian, and am aiming to love everyone. That is what I'm trying to do here, I think with a logical thought process, and this is both a gift and a curse, as Mr. Monk would say. I struggle with my beliefs because not many other Christians ask the questions that conflict with Christianity and Logic. I am struggling right now to understand these people's process here, please help me out
