Original post: my coworker keeps joking that Iβm having sex with my husband in the office
My husband and I work for the same employer in different departments. Our physical workspaces are in different buildings in the same office park. We usually carpool and meet in the parking lot, but we are rarely in the same building at the same time, and if we are itβs for work reasons. Most people know that we are married, but we keep things professional at work because I want to be known for my work, not as a wife.
One of our coworkers used to work in my husbandβs department. They have always gotten along and had a joking relationship. Sheβs now transferred to my department β¦ and she will not stop making jokes about me having sex with my husband at work! If she sees that my office door has been shut, sheβll say, βOh, I assumed you and were having sex on the desk and didnβt want to bother you!β If she sees us parting ways in the morning sheβll make a gag about how we must have been having sex in the car! It happens nearly every time she sees me, in private or in front of coworkers, it makes no difference. It is mortifying when she makes comments like this, especially when she does it in front of people two or three levels above me! This is not how I want to be thought of at work!
I always respond with something along the lines of, βOf course not, my door was closed because I was on a private call!β but she never seems to get the hint. I know I should say something directly, but she clearly wants to be friends and I donβt want to completely ruin the relationship. She really does think this is a funny joke to bond over; thereβs nothing mean spirited about it. Iβd have my husband address it since theyβre much closer, but they never see each other anymore since the transfer. Any scripts?
Thanks for answering
... keep reading on reddit β‘Today I just feel so tired that no matter what I do, I'm expected to act like their dad aka my boyfriend or apparently I hate them.
My SD and I have a great relationship for the most part. SD5 and SD11 say they love me and we all have a good time together. But sometimes on long 3 day weekends or things like long breaks from school I simply start to lose patience for when they are getting loud and very playful due to lack of real alone time and quiet time. I am happy to see them happy so I never tell them to stop or be quieter. I let them be! I am sitting next to them quiet and calm and possibly looking slightly annoyed but I never make a face or anything.
My SO occasionally makes comments like "where is coffeebillieholiday?" when I try to hide for a bit and then they talk about how i'm lame or don't want to be around them in a joking way but they make these jokes often enough to bother me. My SO at first enabled it by saying I go "hide" or go to bed early (for alone time) and once I told him how utterly annoying it is and how it allows them to make comments like this when me needing alone time is NORMAL and I'm NOT their real mom who can selflessly spend 24/7 for days straight with them and he has since stopped making those comments and he apologized.
Today they we're wrestling loud next to my ear and my SO said "you don't find this funny?" all casually cause I was not laughing with them and SD said "she hates us and wishes we were gone and she was here alone" and my SO had to correct her and tell her not to say that. I have felt sensory overload for the last few days cause they are on break and we've been together all day for days now. So no, I didn't find the loud wrestling funny I just found it loud and over stimulating. However I never tell them anything about being quiet or stopping! I even stick around instead of hiding.
I also don't always find poop or fart or butt jokes funny and dads LOVE making those kind of jokes and the kids love it too. I get tired of a poop joke after the 3rd one. So no i'm not always going to belly ache laugh so hard with you guys and I hate how sometimes if i'm not perfectly blending in with their little family unit amongst themselves I somehow don't like them or don't want to be apart of their group. I show up every day, I literally put together their whole christmas and cooked all their meals the last 4 days. I put in so much effort that a non parent would never do and if I need a break or simply want to bail out o

Hi everyone! So here's a pick of my 50g/180l main tank as it was in it's beautiful glory days, with a thick and lush carpet of monte carlo, my pride and joy. I invested in a high tech setup and c02 because I wanted a carpet so badly; it was an incredible success and my fish and I loved it.
And here it is now, one year of neglect later after a big move where the entire thing had to be torn down and replanted completely, including the MC carpet, which.... well. π

The carpet survived the trip as a full foot of dense beautiful mass, but replanting it in a deep tank with corys and kuhlis was a completely different matter. I tried for months to get the carpet just to root back in in a variety of different techniques, but to such little success that I eventually just gave up in total despondence and haven't put in any effort with the plants since. No matter what I did every single little piece would eventually be uprooted. The tank has never really been able to get back to the beauty or water quality it used to be in, but I've just had rejuvenated interest in putting in more effort after starting to set up a new display tank for my other angel (separated pair after they started beating the shit out of each other).
TLDR; So I'd like to pick everyone's brains: have you managed to successfully start a brand new carpet with corys and kuhlis obsessed with digging up carpeting plants, and how did you do it? Any secrets or tips? I never tried to directly glue my MC to stones or slates, and I'm suddenly thinking that maybe that's the way to do it. Maybe I COULD finally have a reestablished carpet and a lush green tank!
So tonight my dad and I watched some home videos from when I was about 8 months old, and then like 3 - 4 years old. And one thing that Iβve noticed is a running theme in these videos is that I am a stone cold CRACKHEAD bouncing off the WALLS ππ Iβm super talkative and very outgoing. Iβm also very commanding (was always in charge/enforcing pretend play rules), loud, & repetitive tho. In the videos where Iβm about 7-8 months old Iβm already saying words.
I know that ASD presents differently in other people, but I feel like how I acted in those videos doesnβt line up with how a child with ASD usually acts. I have diagnosed combined ADHD & I have my official assessment for ASD in April. I know theyβre gonna ask questions about my childhood development, so I was wondering if anyone else here had a similar childhood? I feel like autism describes my experience perfectly until it comes to my childhood.
Id really appreciate any input! I really canβt gauge whether a lot of my childhood experiences were βASD or notβ because my brother (2 years younger) is nonverbal ASD w/ high support needs. So, Iβve always been classified as the βnormal oneβ in comparison. My dad tells me I was totally typical, but he DEFINITELY has undiagnosed autism himself so π€·π»ββοΈ who knows lol
