A list of puns related to "Quebec Attestation of College Studies"
Trying to understand if Herzing Institute Programmer Analyst (https://www.herzing.ca/programs/programmer-analyst-montreal) certificate would qualify a candidate for the new IT classification education standard. The program is 15 months intensive, i.e, no interruption for summer/Christmas. 15 months is not 2 years, but it seems to be same amount of class time as people would spend over 2 years in a university or college setting that had terms broken apart with breaks.
Anybody care to share experiences hiring/bridging from this program?
Its not easy to start college when just the thought of doing it makes you freaked out. Like literally scared, because youβre afraid to fail and afraid that history will repeat itself. Starting college just feels like a very big obstacle and that sometimes makes me sad because I know Iβm intellectually very developed so it wouldnβt be a challenge in that sense. But it can feel like a obligation then.
I'm super excited! My application hasn't been approved yet, but I think (at least hope!) that it will be!
I also have an appointment on tuesday with my education abroad advisor and I can't wait!!!
I originally asked this in a reply to this excellent answer by /u/EdHistory101 but was encouraged to post it separately.
My understanding is that there was a distinct class divide along linguistic lines in pre-Quiet Revolution Quebec, so I'm curious how that influenced the availability of French education for anglophone teenagers. Was it available at all? Would anglophone families have avoided it so as not to mix with lower-class francophones? Or was it simply not as big of an issue as I'm picturing?
Thanks to everyone in advance for replying! Long-time listener, first-time caller etc.
Have anyone got experience applying for extension of study permit? For the letter of enrollment is it sufficient to just submit the attestation letter? Like I checked the requirements on the immigration website and the description seems more like referring to student records so I feel kinda lost.
I am a graduate student at NYU with a strong interest in designing technologies that make online education more accessible to ADHD students. I am looking for participants to interview for my thesis project. The project focuses on the experience of ADHD College Students in Online Education. I need college students who have been diagnosed with ADHD and have taken an online course. This study will be conducted remotely and not take more than an hour. Your participation will be helpful to get an idea of the issues and possible solutions of online learning platforms.
If you are interested in participating, please DM me. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. Please share!

EDIT: Thank you to all that joined today, it was a pleasure and an honor to chat with you! I will check back later to see if there is any further discussion. Have a great day! Go watch some baseball, and enjoy the playoffs!
Iβm a Senior Lecturer of Natural Science and Mathematics at Boston Universityβs College of General Studies and an expert on the science of baseball. My research has focused on the biomechanics of hitting and pitching, how weather impacts a pitched ballβs flight, statistical analysis of baseball and sabermetrics, and how ulnar collateral ligament injuries impact release point in MLB pitchers. I also teach BUx Sabermetrics 101, a MOOC on edX, am a Fenway Park Datacaster/Digital Scorekeeper for mlb.com, and am hosting an upcoming TEDx talk on the science of βsticky stuff.β
As the MLB playoffs continue, Iβm here to talk about all things related to the science of the sport, from the controversial crackdown on pitchersβ use of βsticky stuffβ on baseballs this season to the use of sabermetrics in the game.
Ask me anything about:
