A list of puns related to "Python Package Index"
Hello everybody! I would ask the question: does know anybody complete soft that might to create a centralised local mirror of packages and it will be able to add needed packages that doesn't exist in this mirror yet?
For this time I using the bundle that contains Lighttpd (as web server and generator of list of needed packages from access log) and pip2pi(as downloader and package index creator). But it solution can't do it during client's downloading, only after it.
I will be greatful for any your advice:)
FYI for anyone that uses PyPM from ActiveState

I want to work on creating an app using only Python (as it is the only language I know, along with some very elementary HTML) but I am not sure which is the best GUI package for my needs. All the examples I've seen look very dated like the app is from the early 2000s. I was hoping there is a GUI package that's better for more "modern" looking applications (think Robinhood). Does this even exist, or am I forced to learn js or C++? My field doesn't require programming at all, python would be the most I would ever need, so I am mainly doing this for myself. As a side note, what's the best way to learn GUIs, and what are some easy beginner projects?
Like most people during the lock-down, I found myself with some newfound time on my hands to cater to some new habits. I made an active decision to take up reading for leisure and learning, with the help of my 2-year-old Kindle.
But over time, I did find myself forgetting insights from the books Iβve read. Highlighting passages and taking notes within the Kindle didn't help either because of the unnecessary hassles involved in getting around to revisit it. I wanted to find a way to extract my highlights so that I could access them anywhere and anytime. This package serves to rectify that.
If you read digitally and highlight at all, I bet you would find this tool helpful. You can even tweak the Notion template provided to your liking. Some suggestions based on my use of this set-up from the last few months:
βοΈ Clippings export feature is also supported for third-party books and pdf files within your Kindle.
βοΈ Use the database as your personal bookshelf using the default Card View on Notion or even a personal Goodreads clone using the Board View.
βοΈ Expand on your clippings further by jotting down your thoughts and insights alongside on the same page once you have finished a book.
βοΈ Use Notion's in-built export features to export your clippings in HTML, Markdown or PDF formats.
βοΈ Options to save the highlighted date, page and location details of each clipping along with book covers sourced using the Google Books API.
