I wonder if there is a logical in-universe explanation as to why the Borg destroyed the New Providence colony on Jouret IV (as well as the romulan outposts).
It strikes me as odd, as the Borg are usually interested in assimilation, and would otherwise ignore you unless you are a threat. Then why the random destructions ?
