A list of puns related to "Positive Thinking"

But I'd rather have antibodies
eye roll yeah right!
He said once he saw a lion, he started running toward the village at full speed. After around a kilometre, he looked back and lion, who was just a feet away from him, slipped all of sudden. This allowed him to gain some distance from lion. After around another kilometre, he looked back and lion, who was closing the distance slipped once again. This kept happening untill he reached the village. And that's how he survived the lion chasing him for 10 kms.
"Wow uncle!! You are great. If I was in your position I would have peed myslef. "
"Idiot. Then how do you think lion kept slipping."
But today I am sick and antibodies.
Son is working on math. Currently working on negative numbers, which is below his level (pun intended).
Wife says, "He is really bored. If you can think of anything to say to help that would be great.
Me to son, โHey buddy, I know you are working on negative numbers and that is boring. Try to stay positive.โ
So yeah I got into a car accident during college and I wanted to commemorate that on my grad cap. My mom won't let me put my mri, "you should put something positive on your cap, not something negative" so yeah a back pun is the next best thing I could think of putting on there.
It helps stimulate positive thinking in your brain because of all the indoor fins.
My father is fond of jokes and pranks (even though I only pretend to laugh .-.) but there's this story that I always would genuinely laugh at whenever it is brought up. So here it goes...
We've always gone to Church every Sunday when we were kids and on one of those Sundays, my father decided to make my mother laugh by shaving only HALF of his beard. So while the other side has hair, the other is shaved. He casually walked up to my mother and asked if he looked good in his "new fashion style." My mother laughed so hard she couldn't breathe.
When that was over, we got ourselves ready and went to Church. While praying, there was a bunch of people looking at my father. He noticed that as soon as he looked at those people, they'd cover their face, bow their heads and walk away. He felt weird. So he got into this 'thinking position' where he had his hands to play with his beard. And that's when he realized...HE FORGOT TO SHAVE THE OTHER HALF AT HOME AND NO ONE NOTICED UNTIL WE GOT THERE. HAHAHHAHAHA He was so embarassed, he covered his whole face until mass was over.
That's all folks. Thank you for coming to my dad talks .
The first one stops and says 'Oh, no! I think i've lost an electron!" The second one says 'are you sure?' The first one says 'Yeah, I'm positive'
-Are you ok? -I think I lost an electron -Are you sure? -Iโm positive!
When he gets to the place where heโs supposed to pick up his rifle the man tells him thatย he just ran out. โIf you need to shoot just say โBANGITY BANG BANGITY BANG!'โ he says. Bummed out and little confused, the guy moves on to the next areaย where heโs supposed to pick up the bayonet. But the next man is out too. โIf you need to stab someone justย go, โSTICKITY STICK STICKITY STICK!'โ he says. Dejected and wondering what the heck he signed up for, the guy jumps into the next truck on its wayย to the front where thereโs a battle raging on.
Side by side with the rest of the soldiers in his unit, the guy advances on the enemy position. As soon as he sees the enemy, he shouts, โBANGITY BANG BANGITY BANG!!โ Amazingly, the enemy soldierย drops to the ground. Encouraged by his success he charges the next two enemy soldiers and goes, โSTICKITY STICK STICKITY STICK!โ They both immediately collapse in front of him. This is incredible, he thinks, Iโve become unstoppable.
So when he sees his next foeย way off in the distance, he shouts,ย โBANGITY BANG BANGITY BANG!โ at him. He waits for him to fall, but nothing happens. The guy charges his unfazedย adversaryย nextย and goes โSTICKITY STICK STICKITY STICK!โ Again he thinks the man will fall and again nothingย happens. โWhy wont you drop?โ the guy says. The enemy soldier knocks him down andย responds, โTANKITY TANK TANKITY TANK!โ
I think it's something with CDC, but I'm not positive.
The first one says, "I think I lost an electron!" The other replies, "Are you sure?" To which he replies, "I'm positive!"
This was the scenario more or less.
Sister-in-law: I just took two pregnancy tests and they both came out positive!
Brother: That's incredible!
Sister-in-law: I think we should go to a baby doctor as soon as possible.
Brother: I would feel a lot more comfortable if the doctor was an adult.
I think it was a nervous diss position.
My Dad has always been a bit cool (plays in bands, hangs around with much younger guys etc) but at the weekend, on his 67th birthday, he FINALLY Dad joked me.
We were talking about the local rugby team and I said "They're playing a French team. I think it's Toulouse?"
He said "That's not very positive is it? Playing to lose."
"No wait," I said, checking the website, "They're playing Toulon!"
"Ohh, well in that case, it won't be a short game...."
I finally feel like a proper daughter.

-long pause-
Me: Well.... what do we do now?
Wife: Well, I guess we should go to a baby doctor.
Me: Hmmm... I think I'd be a lot more comfortable going to an adult doctor.
So my sister is pregnant and very pessimistic from being very pregnant. They're discussing blood types at the dinner table and I walk in mid conversation.
Bro-in-law: "You are A negative, and I am trying to B positive."
My sister started crying, I think because the joke was so bad.
I had been driving for a few years and had just moved off to college.
I was on my way back home to visit and it got dark during my drive. My headlights and radio worked but my dash lights were not coming on. When I got home I asked my dad about it and he said he'd go take a look. He went outside then comes back in the house just a few minutes later.
Me: "Did you find out what the problem is?"
Dad: "I think so."
Me: "Well, what was it?"
Dad: "I'll have to show you tomorrow, if I'm right then we're going to have fun working on your truck all morning."
We wait until morning, and dad wakes me up to go work on my truck. We go outside and he has me walk him through the entire problem again. Which lights were working and which were not, has me start the truck a few times and has me do the same troubleshooting I did the night before. I was getting frustrated and told him I tried absolutely everything.
Then he says "I think there's one thing you forgot." He points at a knob by the steering wheel. I looked at where he was pointing and it hit me. It's the damned the dash-light dimmer switch, and it was set to it's lowest (dimmest) position. When I looked back up at him he just had the biggest grin on his face. He then went into a full explanation on how this knob worked, knowing full well that I already knew what that knob did. Which, by the way, I'm sitting on the driver's seat and he's standing at the driver's side door. So I had no way to walk away from this embarrassing moment. All I could do was look down at the steering wheel and listen to him enjoying his joke.
Bonus story #1:
I'm in my 30s and one of my friends is a 74 year old guy that I play pool with. He always asks me what I've been up to, and one time I told him I met a girl.
He got excited and said "Do you have any pictures of her?" So I showed him a few pictures of us together.
Old man: "She's beautiful! She sounds like a keeper."
Then he leans in with a grin and says "Do you have any naked pictures of her?"
Me: "No way!"
Old man: "Do you want to see some?"
Bonus story #2:
That same old man was at our friend's wedding. He's sitting at the table with his wife and a bunch of other people. The conversation is about how they have been married for 50+ years. He says "I don't know how she's put up with me for this many years. But I've always told her that she can leave whenever she wants to, cause I'm comin' with her."
His wife explained that she has heard all of his jokes so
... keep reading on reddit โกMy sister posted about loving my little ponies, and we got on the topic of rainbow horse poop jokes. My dad just pops in with this:
Dad - I can't think of one right now. I do, however, have a poem that is somewhat related: (first assume standard high-class poetry recitation position; head high, chest out, hands clasped behind back, heels together, toes @ 180 degrees, knees slightly bent): "In days of old, when knights were bold, and toilets weren't invented; they left their load beside the road, and went away contented."
A few weeks ago I stayed at my dad's house. In the morning I found I had forgotten my keys and therefore had locked myself in. Because I didn't want to get told off/mocked by my dad, I phoned my brother's girlfriend to go to my brother at his work, retrieve the key from him and bring it back to dad's house to let me out. The following week my brother (the traitor) told my dad about this escapade and dad phoned me to mock me and tell me that not only was there a spare key in the house already, dad just happened to be driving past the house when I left anyway so could've let me out himself...
These are some of the key-related puns since then.
> me: dad, I didn't get the job in [city]
> dad: don't worry, it wasn't a key position.
Today in the restaurant we ate at: oh look! They do KEY lime pie!
Dude turns his head to look at me as dad and I walk down the road together: oooh! He looked keen. Geddit? Keen? KEY-n
> me: okay dad, you can stop with the key jokes now.
> dad makes the motion of sealing his lips and locking them with a key, immediately bursting into fits of giggles before he says: nah I think this joke has many more possibilities to unlock. more laughter
So many groans...
Ninja edit: something went funny with the submit page...
At a bar and curling is on and I make the remark "isn't it just cleaning?" Then my dad says
"do you think they have the position called sweeper"
