A list of puns related to "Playpen (school)"
I have a 6-month-old small breed mutt, and I work from home. Because I can't watch her every moment of the day, I had been using a playpen since I got her just so that she had room to move and play but I knew she's safe and not getting into anything. I would let her out after I was finished working, and she was always wild and hyper and generally exhausting. As she got bigger, she discovered that she could tip over her playpen which would make me run over to fix it, and this ended up being a huge distraction in my day as she did it over and over and over. I tried putting things in front of it so she couldn't tip it, tried weighting it down, etc. but she would always find a way.
I didn't know what else to do and was totally at wit's end, so I decided to just try having her out all day. I thought she would be wild like she was when I would let her out of the pen in the evenings and figured it would be a huge distraction as well, but I didn't know what else I could try.
Well, my fellow puppy parents, I could not have been more wrong. She instantly became a total angel. She's excited when we wake up in the morning and I release her from her crate, and she spends a little bit of time running around and bothering the cats, but by the time I have my coffee and sit down to work, she is calm and sweet. She'll occasionally get up and want to sit on my lap where she'll immediately settle for a nap. Sometimes she'll grab a toy to chew on or squeak for a bit, or go find the cats to see what they're doing. But mostly she just lays by my side or on the couch where she can see me and either naps or gnaws on a chew.
I'm amazed and shocked and thrilled, and just really wanted to share!
TLDR: What is your puppy schedule if you work from home and have your puppy in a large playpen instead of a crate (with all food, water, and toy needs in the playpen available at all times)?
Hey everyone!
What is your puppy schedule if you work from home and have your puppy in a large playpen instead of a crate (with all food, water, and toy needs in the playpen available at all times)? I've read multiple posts on this but it usually has involved a crate and I'm looking to find out what the schedules of those using a playpen are.
e.g Playpen at night, (x number minutes/hours) playtimewalk from 7-9AM, Work 9-12PM, playtime/walk (x number minutes/hours)...etc.
Thank you in advance!
We have a pen arriving Monday for out 8 week old puppy. He's all over the place atm but were reluctant to shut doors because of the cat although I do to keep him out of has way when I'm too tired to follow him everywhere. Hes really destructive when hes in hyper mode and keeps finding things he shouldn't even when I think I've cleared everything away. For all our peace of minds I'm really looking forward to this pen arriving l but I don't want to overuse it. How much of their day does you pup go in theirs?
Hello! My puppyβs only 10-weeks old. I limit his exposure to the house by setting up a playpen where he spends his time when not in his crate (where he naps/sleeps).
Heβs the typical land shark right now; he goes for my arms/legs/clothing whenever he gets the chance. When he does get a good bite, heβs tough to get off. Because of this, Iβve opted to stay on the other side of the playpen so heβs unable to bite me as often as he would if I were in the playpen with him. He can still get me if Iβm on the other side though. I do try to be inside the playpen with him at least once a day to get him used to being handled while he eats his Kong/bully stick.
Is this a bad idea? Will this have any repercussions later on? Should I be in the playpen with him as much as possible?
Hey all, I'm looking for some suggestions regarding a suitable playpen that I can pick up for my floof that will allow him to have more room to run around/play than his cage, but won't require as much supervision as letting him have free range around the house to make sure he doesn't get stuck or get anywhere he shouldn't be that may be dangerous. I picked up a "small dog" enclosure at a local outlet store, but it seems a bit small for him and he doesn't like it that much even with his favorite toys in there with him. It measures 26" x 26" x 18". So yeah, just looking for some advice or some info about what others have done regarding a playpen.
Plenty of advice says to βhave a safe space for both babies in every roomβ which I totally understand. Our first baby (16 months) has been completely free range in the home, which definitely requires 24/7 supervision. The only βconfinedβ space he has now is his crib.
Are there play pens that might be bigger than a pack-n-play that could confine him? Little worried about baby #2 and my c-section recovery. Donβt want to pop a stitch trying to get him off the kitchen counter! Thanks.
Does anyone remember which episode Theo talks about living at the Mc Donaldβs playpen?
Having trouble finding a playpen with the wires close enough together to prevent the little girl from squeezing through. Any one got leads on a good one?
Hi all - so my MIL has been taking care of our one year old son while we work. I currently work from home so I hear a lot of things going on downstairs in living room/kitchen area.
My MIL puts son in playpen while she cooks breakfast, she usually takes 30 min to an hour and he is screaming/sometimes crying for that long. I am just getting concerned if this will have an affect on his behavior/mental state growing up? Or am I just over thinking it. Just bothers me so much
She does try and calm him down while cooking, saying things like shh, 'I'm almost done', 'No need to scream' but it's just repetitive and he keeps going. When he's out and about he rarely screams at all.
EDIT: Thank you for all the suggestions and advice! Of course I really do appreciate my MIL taking care of our LO as we work. It is such a blessing. The playpen does have a lot of toys, I guess he just got bored of them. My MIL makes shakes and prepares for lunch as well, so she takes a while doing all those. I'll talk to her and use all suggestions given. Didn't expect to get this much helpful advice :)
My big concern was just the development aspect of this action and impact. But you guys have assured me there's no need to worry as long as he is being acknowledged.
Hi guys!
I'm looking for a playpen for my hamsters for out-of-cage time, and wondering if you guys have good recommendations? Preferably nothing with wired sides as I had one before and my Syrian climbs right out of those.
I've also read that the playpen should be bigger than the hamster's cage, which I am struggling to find for my Syrian, as his cage is 115x60cm.
Thanks in advance :)
