A list of puns related to "Play It as It Lays (album)"
Also, would it help any by saying that? I'm a novice by the way.
The ball went down close to the water and when we got there this duck was playing around with it, then went and sit on it thinking it was her egg
The long awaited 7th studio album from San Diego metalcore icons is finally here. Try to remain civil when discussing the album. Enjoy everyone!
With no significant very few albums left to release this year (barring any surprises) I think it's time for us to rank and sort how we've felt about the plethora of music that has come out in 2017. Feel free just to list your AOTY, a top 5/10/20...whatever you want. Give mini reviews of how you liked certain albums...etc. Limit it to studio releases, though if you want to shout out a live record or box set you've enjoyed or recommend that's cool. EPs are fine to sort in as well.
No need to limit it to just prog-metal; feel free to include straightforward prog, and non-prog as well.
My List (Ranking all albums I listened to this year): Top 3 are set in stone for my Gold/Silver/Bronze of AOTY, other entries could float Β±1 in relation to each other... but for the most part are in the order.
This year was pretty damn solid.. everything from my #22 spot and above I would rate at least an 8/10, only "disappointments/negatives" in my list are my bottom 2 slots.

If you ask Morant if he ever contemplates the downside to his playing style, heβll tell you he does not. Itβs how heβs always played. His athleticism and highlight-reel ability was a major factor in him becoming a breakout star at Murray State and eventually becoming the No. 2 pick of the 2019 Draft. He has no intention to change his style now.
βIβve been playing like this all my life,β Morant said. βIt got me here and Iβm going to continue playing like that. Iβm willing to lay my body on the line for my team.β
Make no mistake, the Grizzlies donβt want Morant laying his body on the line at this stage in his career. Not more than he needs to, anyway. Heβs just 20 and has already been load-managed twice during back-to-backs. He received a week-to-week designation after suffering back spasms two weeks ago. The front office and head coach Taylor Jenkins work in conjunction with the Grizzliesβ performance team to figure out the best way to keep the point guard healthy for the long run.
βHe and I have sat down and we talk to our performance team,β Jenkins said. βHe recognizes it. Heβs a high-flyer, he goes in there, seeks contact. Heβs doing a little bit better of avoiding contact and not ending up in a spill situation. But that just takes more time and more reps. Heβs facing different lengths, different athleticism, different coverages. He recognizes them, which is number one. And now itβs just continuing to give him the tools where he can continue to combat that physicality at the rim and still be an efficient, high-level scorer for us.β

Hey all Iβm really in need of advice. To start we have been on a time out with BrokeSnob for a little under a year. It was supposed to be until thanksgiving 2020 but we have been talking ending the time out around Easter. We enacted the timeout due to feeding our youngest (who has a mild food allergy) food we told her he couldnβt have and then blasting me (indirectly) on Facebook when DH and I expressed our anger over the situation.
Well BrokeSnob wants to drop off Christmas gifts from FILs side. I canβt help but feel like she is trying to use this as a ploy to see the kids. DH knows I want her no where near our apartment or boys for that matter. Yet heβs insisting we could use this as an opportunity to sit her down and lay down our boundaries and expectations for the future. I donβt disagree this would be a great opportunity to do that however this is not a conversation I want to have in my own home as it is my safe space, the place I am most vulnerable. Also Iβm not yet ready to have this conversation. Maybe by Easter but not now. DH is still pushing the idea and Iβm starting to feel like Iβm being unreasonable.
Iβm not sure how to go about this, what do I do?
