A list of puns related to "Pilea involucrata"
hey all, so i've been getting into pileas lately and am having trouble finding a trustworthy ID on pilea involucrata ("friendship plant").
a lot of involucrata images seem to look like pilea mollis ("moon valley") or pilea cadierei ("aluminum"). i found a storefront claiming involucrata to be a cultivar of cadierei, but idk how trustworthy that is and also am skeptical that it would have an entirely different species name.
i feel like involucrata would most likely look like this, as it shares the aluminum streaks of cadierei but has a different leaf shape/green color, but i'd like confirmation, especially because these have all been labeled as involucrata: [1] [2] [3].
thanks to anyone who takes the time to help out :)
Hello! I'm a new plant owner, and I can't find any answers to the problems I'm having with my friendship plant.
I've had my friendship plant for 5 months now, and it hasn't grown at all. I re-potted it from its nursery pot into a terracotta pot when I first bought it. It stayed in that pot for about 4 months. I gave it plant food once a month up until September. I read that you shouldn't feed it in the Fall/Winter seasons. Even with plant food it still didn't grow. I have it in a window with open blinds, and the window is facing SE. All of my windows face SE. It is next to three other plants. I moved it from the window to a table that gets indirect sunlight. I thought maybe it wasn't growing because of how much sun it was getting.
At the middle of September, I re-potted this plant again with African Violet soil because I also read that was the best soil if I wanted to buy an already made mix. It still hasn't grown any new leaves, and now there is a white fuzz growing on the soil and around the stems. The soil is still wet, and I watered it more than two weeks ago. The pot has drainage holes at the bottom. There's no water gathered at the bottom either. I don't really know what else to do.
Any help would be great! Thanks!
I have had this plant since October in a south facing window. At first it was thriving, and even after repotting it continued to do well. As of ~month ago, it developed these brown spots that have taken over the whole plant. I water it regularly (I use tap water, so maybe a problem, but didn't seem to be at first) and the pot has drainage. Any ideas?
