A list of puns related to "Penalty shoot out (association football)"
And heβs only gone and clutched gold 1 π people probably donβt care but so gassed
Thought they patched the head movement nonsense some time back? Just lost 2 penalty shoot outs in a row in WL. My players very noticeable when taking their kicks but unable to read the opponents.
I'm what you'd call a football fan. I visit almost every football game near me, and watch the games on TV or YouTube when I can't go in person. So I was excited when heard the XFL was coming back the Saturday after Super Bowl LIV. Unfortunately, the closest stadium to me that was hosting a game in week 1 was in Arlington, so I couldn't go. However, there was a channel that had a live stream with the all games from week 1. And it was great, till Sunday.
I was waiting for the Renegades vs. Battlehawks game to start, when about 30 minutes before kickoff, the live stream showed a different game.
The area just looked like a giant storage facility, and the logo for the apparent league was that of some poorly drawn letters spelling out the initials of the league, and the audio was low quality.
"Hello and welcome back to the crown jewel of the All American Football Association. As here in the championship, the Oakland Organs face the Orlando Opps."
I was confused, but it was more football, so I continued watching and decided to root for the Organs.
The game began with Oakland receiving the kickoff, this is were shit gets crazy.
The receiver is soon tackled by a player from the other team, who proceeded to take off his helmet before bashing the receiver's skull with it, to the point were you couldn't even tell if it was a living creature before. the entire kicking team was murdering the receiving team in horrible ways. I could see players jaws being ripped out of their mouths, their faces being mulled like bears, one of them had their entrails removed out their stomachs before being used to strangle them to death.
Eventually, a player from the Organs punch a player from the Opps, before a flag was put on the field.
"Resisting defeat, receiving team, life penalty"
The player is heard begging the ref who pulls out a gun.
"Please, don't shoot! I just want to live!"
A gunshot is heard just off screen, before the announcer comes back.
"And that will do it. Congratulations to the Orlando Opps, your AAFA champions."
The live stream then starts the Renegades vs. Battlehawks game. I tried asking the streamer in the chat what just happen, but they gave no answer.
I decided to tell this story because of a recent envelope I got in the mail the other day.

Interestingly, we haven't lost a penalty shoot out since September 2008. This was against Brighton in the league cup second round. Since then we have beaten:
The record for some of our most recent keepers since 08/09 is as follows, this includes shoot outs and in game penalties, only includes games playing for City. I'm including all non-scoring penalties as saved, although obviously some might have just been skied and that might mean it doesn't reflect on the goalkeeper per se. This is only competitive games too, all competitions though.

Uruguay 2 - 1 Portugal
Russia 1(4) - (3)1 Spain

Sweden 1 - 0 Switzerland
England 1(4) - 1(3) Colombia
The only outlier was Brazil 2 - 0 Mexico
A lot of close games, what an awesome WC!

Nothing wrong with the system we have. Extra time and a replay if needed. Another day out.
Penaly shoot outs doesn't prove who is the better team. Its tantemount to tossing a coin.
