A list of puns related to "Peacetime in Paris"
As far as I understand the wiki, my armies should get exiled the moment I enter a war (or end one). Also, allied provinces should remove exile regardless. Why is it then, that when I ferry my non-exiled troops to my ally Papal State from Ottoman Empire during peacetime they get exiled the day after I land?
I just lost a year ferrying them back and forth wondering what's going on
speculation (although there's NOTHING about it on wiki): is it because I have no land route to my country (no military access through all the countries between Ottomans and the Papals State)?
God, this game can be so frustrating...
Does anybody else feel like Stellaris, and 4X games in general, could really benefit from the opportunity to have more "grey struggle" aside from the out and out wars that we have right now? I can only conquer my neighbors so many times, especially when I win by default since I'm a human, and better at the game than the computer.
When are we going to get an opportunity to pit scheming nobles against each other, or have to put down a rebel alliance? Can it be a little harder to deal with Unrest than just deploying more armies to deal with the rioting? What about opportunities to sponsor or mount clandestine raids against a rival who I'm technically at peace with, or spy on them?
This isn't so much a gripe post as it is expressing a desire for some real intrigue.
"Power gaming metagaming fucks. Note to self: Don't start anywhere near Darth next time"
The Chief of staff looked at the King, pacing up and down, muttering incoherent babble like this for several minutes. Surely the King had lost it.
"Two days since bow was our warmod, he knows uptodate information about it all"
The Defence Minister, Alberto Esquivel, ventured a word, "Sire, whom or what is broken bow?"
The King stopped in his tracks. "Our real mistake, was never killing one of them off years ago. Our lack of ruthlessness has this fruit - for the sake of losing about 10 units of Industrial goods a year, they are going to kill and enslave us all in a mad death cult. We could have starved them to death when they blocked us from the sentinels territory. Their imports and exports are essential for their powergamed abstract, and they barely had a navy then."
Again, this drew blanks from those present. The King sighed, and faced them,
"Execute Protocol Captain Morgan. I dont care how long it takes. Make no mistake, they wont stop until every one in a position in authority has had their guts torn out of their twitching body, and everyone of the people enslaved. All bets are off"
The Defence Minister Esquivel, Chief of Staff Valentin Arias, and Prime Minister Estrada said nothing. Instead, in unison, the bowed, slowly and stiffly, taking several seconds before rising up straight, turning, and leaving, to attempt the impossible.
Before the Forerunner-Flood war, what was everyday life like for each rate?
Iβm relatively new to the game and have been trying some countries like Leon, Mumu, and Svipjod. I feel I have a decent understanding of the mechanics but I donβt know what Iβm meant to be doing in peacetime. Most of the time I just wait around until I get a claim or until a plot succeeds. I keep reading people saying that theyβre deep into plotting and dense families that you need to tear apart from the inside to become victorious but I donβt see any of this. Am I doing something wrong? I just feel like thereβs nothing to do in peacetime (which Iβm sure Iβm wrong about, I just donβt know what it is).
