Hi, I'm pretty new to classical music, but Pagodes by Debussy is really sticking out as a favourite of mine so far. I really like the atmospheric, melancholic, nostalgic feel of it, as well as the intensity, the repeated motifs etc. It just feels like it has really good... momentum?
I read that it was inspired by Indonesian gamelan music, so are there maybe more melancholic, Asian-influenced, impressionist piano pieces out there I should know about? Or other pieces in general that evoke a similar kinda feeling in you?

Hello everyone! :D Can someone explain to me what`s the difference between samba and pagode, and maybe give me some examples? I know that pagode is a subgenre of samba and it has banjo but I`m trying to understand a little bit more the difference between these two.
