The MMLP(10/10)
The MMLP2(9.5/10)
The SSLP(9.3/10)
Recovery(9/10)
Relapse(8.5/10)

Kamikaze(7.5/10)
Encore(7/10)
Revival(6/10)
Please dont roast me cuz this is just my opinion. I love em when heβs lyrical and in his hip hop bag, but i also love em in his pop bag as long as the music sounds good.
On first listen i actually loved every single album, yes even revival. Though after a couple more listens I started loving revival less and realized its his weakest. Encore had like 5 joke tracks that ruined it man, get rid of the 5 joke tracks and I think Encore is a classic.
I think mmlp and eminem show are flawless however Iβd give the nod to TES cuz Iβve revisited that one the most.
Recovery probably has the most HIT songs of any eminem album and I revisit that one a lot, lots of pop but i dont have a problem with that tbh cuz the music is good. Relapse was my 2nd least favorite on first listen, though after a couple more listens its gone up my ranks. Not many flaws on the album and i love it now, love the rapping and flows on this album. I think MMLP2 had the best mix of both classic hip hop em and pop em. Loved it.
I liked kamikaze but I felt like it needed more. It was a good album but not up to par with other em albums. I enjoyed MTBMB though felt it was a bit too long and had a bunch of filler, however i think the highs were really high.
What are you guys thoughts?
Don't get me wrong, I love every album Pink Floyd released, even Ummagumma and the More soundtrack. The Gilmour-era albums are my favourites, though.
Momentary Lapse was one of the first albums I ever heard (well, mostly) via the Delicate Sound of Thunder DVD. Division Bell and Endless River are two of the most beautiful albums I've ever heard.
Yes, they're probably the albums that get the most (unfair IMO) criticisms, but to me there's absolutely nothing wrong with them. From Signs of Life to Louder Than Words, every second is magic. Even the lyrics are amazing.
OK, the production on Momentary Lapse isn't the best, but I couldn't care less about production. A lot of my favourite albums have heavily-criticised production.
And another thing, all those people who say 'no Roger, no Floyd' are speaking nonsense IMO. Roger only wrote one song on Piper, is only credited on three songs from Atom Heart Mother, not many in between. Ummagumma only has two Roger songs. It wasn't until Dark Side that he started writing the majority of the material. Wish You Were Here is hit-or-miss IMO. Animals is a good album, but doesn't stand up to Dark Side or The Wall. There's only 1 song on Animals not solely credited to Roger, and that's Dogs which has a Gilmour co-credit. The Wall has 3 Gilmour co-credits, which are 3 of the most popular songs on the album.
Roger may have written the majority of songs on those 4 albums, and all of Final Cut (written by Roger Waters, performed by Pink Floyd minus Rick Wright), but didn't write much in the early days unless he wrote songs that never made it onto albums. Before Pink Floyd became Roger Waters backed by 3 other blokes, every member of the band contributed music, it wasn't just Roger. Dark Side has Wright's last credit until Wearing the Inside Out and Mason's last credit until The Endless River. It was the last album where every member had a credit. Only Roger and Gilmour had credits from WYWH through The Wall. Final Cut is solely Roger. No other member has a credit on the album. Roger had fired Rick so it isn't even the full band on the album. Nick Mason is the only member of the band who played on every album.
In that sense, maybe it should be 'no Nick, no Floyd', because while Roger did write the majority of the big 4 and all of Final Cut, Piper through Meddle is a period where every member contributed equally and weren't under Roger's control. Plus Nick is the only member on every album. And, to be fair, Gilmour only mi

If I'm into a group and they just have a new comeback/most recent album released that I like enough i will buy it. I dont buy previous releases, bc i feel I was not "present" during that promotion period.
Edit: I buy a group's current album bc it helps them the most.
Will Watch the Throne II & Jesus Is King II finally get a release? Let me know
I can't remember this band's name. I remember they've had a few albums, and their music may not be well known but has been featured on shows periodically.
I remember one album having a sort of sunset on the cover in the desert(?). I remember the album has a whole bunch of oranges and pinks on it. The songs are kind of alternative, a little hazy and melancholy. They would come on my Lord Huron radio pretty often, so I think they're kind of similar. I can't get them to come back up though.
Was talking to someone about this recently, most people would probably say Rumours or Tusk as their favourite from this era. So those albums aside what are this subs favourites? I'd probably go with Mirage (which is on the turntable as I type this) or maybe Say You Will.
EDIT: I forgot to add, does it matter if I listen to mono or stereo of older albums? Which is preferable?
Itβs been hard for me to fully get into The Who. It was not because I thought they were bad or anything, itβs just that I donβt think I really heard of them outside of Pinball Wizard and My Generation (sounds like a shitpost when I say it like that). I had limited experience hearing them and it surprised me to learn and find out they had a following and albums that were lauded as being truly significant.
Iβve been interested in giving their discography a full listen since hearing about Tommy and how itβs like one of the if not the perfect example of a flushed out concept album, a format that speaks to me very much. Itβll take some time to listen to, which I donβt mind now, but Iβve noticed thereβs a few albums that precede Tommy, and a number that succeed Quadrophenia. Has anyone gone through all or most of these and do they recommend someone listening to all of them for the first time getting into the band or are they not essential for now?
TL;DR - Is it ill-advised to start on Tommy up to Quadrophenia and skip the rest of do you gain anything going chronologically? Any albums you donβt like that you would skip altogether?
