Oil purification Puns

I ran an LiBH4 reduction of the tetrapropyl ester of 1,2,4,5-benzenetetracarboxylic acid and my product is a dark, non-volatile oil containing starting material, and varying degrees of the reduction product (1 hydroxymethyl, 2 hydroxymethyl, etc.). The reaction was run using just 0.8 eq of LiBH4 relative to the ester, so the primary product should be the mono-hydroxymethyl.

I have purified this type of material before via flash chromatography on a smaller scale, but I am wondering if there is another strategy I can pursue instead of running a scaled-up column. My first thought is distillation but I don't believe my product is particularly volatile. Any suggestions?

On an industrial scale, what kind of methods exist to remove oil and brine from water in deep pressurized wells. Water oil that is around 200C and handle 2000 gallons per minute. Only thing I found in use was Steam Assisted Gravity Drainage. I was thinking maybe some sort of giant centrifuge or massive amounts of photocatayst TiO2

First of all, Legion of the Damned as a novel is metal AF. Aside from the Warp-spawned Imperial daemon Astartes from the book's title, it also featuresa Khornate Blood Crusade called the Cholercaust that follows around a comet named after Euphrati Keeler, while the first third of the book is all about the famous Feast of Blades held between all the Imperial Fist Legion's successor chapters. There's so much happening in this novel, it's worth a read especially if you're an Imperial Fists fan.

Second, it's also the first time I've heard about The Darkness, a psychic-spiritual affliction of one Imperial Fists successor chapter, the Excoriators, rooted in Dorn's tremendous loss from failing to protect the Emperor against Horus. Maybe it's not that famous because it doesn't affect the entire gene-line of the Imperial Fists like the Red Thirst/Black Rage for the Blood Angels, but I enjoyed learning about this malady and how it intersects with the Dorn line's relationship with pain and suffering. The Excoriators despise it as a sign of weakness in the individual, and it reflects their fear of failure.

We start to learn about it through an Apothecary and Company Captain discussing how it affected their Chapter Scourge aka Champion, Zachariah Kersh, in the middle of a pivotal battle. This led to recriminations against him because of the tragic consequences of him succumbing to the Darkness (won't spoil the plot further):

I saw a video that the most potent cannabis oil on the market was made from regular cannabis oil by distilling it, could the same be done with things like Opium and other plants to concentrate them, by distillation?

• Toxic Nest damage increased from 153 to 160
• Locust Basic Attacks will no longer appear as critical hits against structures
• Prolific Dispersal no longer reduces the cooldown of Toxic Nest or increases the duration, but Toxic Nests may now be placed while in Symbiote form by use of the active button
• Survival Instincts has been relocated from level 1 to level 7, and it now also grants the option to disable Locust Strain
• Vile Nest has been removed
• MULE has been removed
• New Level 7 Talent: Persistent Nest: Increase the duration of Toxic Nests by 50%(+45 seconds) and their life by 300%(+240 life at 0)
• Evolve Monstrosity is now treated as a heroic unit, meaning it can be more readily healed by Allied Heroes, but also grants any bonuses for damaging heroes to enemies, and also feature the different tower priority
• Evolve Monstrosity is now able to us

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.

Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
