A list of puns related to "Odd Squad"
I am probably horribly dating myself but back in the day there used to be something called an Odd Job Squad and when employers needed labourers they would send out a call that morning. If I remember correctly, it was geared towards younger folks.
I am wondering if there is something similar out there for adults? My husband is looking for work, his English is not great, and we may be moving again in a few months. Something like this would be a good fit. And if we end up not moving then it would help him made contacts in the work force. Just curious if there is anything like that out there? Internet search did not turn up anything.
None of the kids in this show are bratty, sarcastic know-it-alls with each other or adults (like those garbage Disney sitcoms). My 12 year old watched Odd Squad when she was smaller and now my toddler loves it and itβs still funny and silly. I really appreciate the Leslie Nielsen-esque deadpan delivery moments. Also, even when you know a punchline or type of delivery is coming, they donβt drag it out to death. Everything is succinct, well-acted, and I think this show is just really great. Thatβs all!
Are they all run-aways living and "working" in some secret government facility, or are they supposed to be like a real life Kids Next Door kind of thing?
They're both remarkably similar when you think about it, two organisations who deal with the anomalous, though one contains and the other just fixes the issue
Tons of little similarities can be found, Ms O and Dr Bright are both immortal (if you believe O's stories of living in the 80's), those weird rooms inside of Odd Squad's halls are vaguely reminiscent of the SCP containment chambers. Hell, Odd Squad evens contains some things (as far as I remember) and they have bases all around the world, just like the SCP Foundation.
Odd Squad is just SCP youth recruitment confirmed?
So, after spending a bunch of time stripping and repainting models, I decided I would rather have small patrols of multiple armies, instead of a blob of one kind. I also figure it makes for a decent way to have a "playset," so that when I can invite guests over again, I can have several distinct armies for people to pick from.
The hope is, I can gather enough of each big faction type to be able to field full size armies for structured play as well. So far, I have a deepstrike focused T'au patrol, while my Wolves are primarily fast attack.
For my Imperial forces, I've settled on Sororitas as my next patrol, but I'm not sure what to buy that would complement my Wolves, while also being self sufficient for 500 point games. Seems like the patrol box is actually worth the money this time.
But, I also feel like I would rather have more of the same kind of model, or more points intensive models, so as to have less paperwork and painting, like I did with my T'au and Wolves. Back on the other side, I also don't want to invest $500 into a part-time army, and end up with expensive piles of plastic. The only reason I'm even considering more models at all is due to some windfall headed my way.
