I've been awake since 4am thinking about having an oatmeal chocolate chip cookie
There's a coffee shop around the corner - literally a five minute walk - that opens in half an hour. It's dark, cold, we had 60 cm of snow over the past couple of days and our street still hasn't been plowed. But I can't stop thinking about this cookie.
So I'm sitting at the front door with my boots on.

Update: got my cookie and it was perfect. My husband woke up as I walked back in the door and officially thinks I've lost my mind, but it was totally worth it.

This weekend I’m making my favorite cookie dough (Bon Appetite’s chocolate chip toffee cookie) to freeze. And the visualization of me snuggling my baby while eating a fresh out of the oven cookie will actually be the image that gets me through labor.

I'm trying to find the brand of some oatmeal cookies I used to eat when I was a kid. They are very crunch oatmeal cookies. They came in spall packs of 3 cookies very tightly wrapped in strong clear plastic with a printed orange band on the front with the company name and the type of cookie. I can't remember if the words were colored or just clear plastic so the letters were actually cookie color.
Edit. The company also made chocolate chip cookies in the same kind of wrapping but they had a yellow label instead of orange.
BJs used to sell them in large packages and the last time I saw them was at market basket sold as the 3 cookie packs. I haven't seen them for at least 3 years now.

I brought home cookies that I got from a work lunch for my partner the other day because I do not have a big sweet tooth like he does. Well the cookies came in a package and one was chocolate chip and the other was oatmeal raisin. My partner, I guess, doesn't like oatmeal raisin because he made a joke about how gross they were due to the raisins and only ate the chocolate chip cookie.
Now like I said, I don't have a big sweet tooth, but when I do crave a cookie I have had some great oatmeal raisin cookies. I'm not particularly in love the raisins, but I do love the oatmeal batter. My first thought was "oh, I could make oatmeal cookies and sub the raisins" but then I thought, since I don't actually mind the raisins why don't I just add chocolate chips to the mix?
So, would you try a oatmeal raisin chocolate chip cookie? Should I make some for my partner to try, or will I be left with a batch of uneaten cookies?

I don't get the oatmeal raisin hatred. I've seen so many people dump on oatmeal raisin cookies talking about them like eating one is the same as choking down a turd. Even if they see cookies the reaction is like, "Ooh cookies, oh wait they're oatmeal raisin, ugh gross." I love oatmeal raisin cookies. All you haters are missing out!

Adapting cookie recipe to add oatmeal?
Hello bakers. I would like to add oatmeal to a chocolate chip cookie recipe. Should I increase the liquid to accommodate the oats, which I assume will absorb moisture? The dough will probably rest for about 6-7 hours before baking.
The recipe calls for about 2 cups chocolate chips. I plan to do 1 cup chocolate chips, 1/2 cup of oatmeal, and 1/2 cup of nuts. To add liquid, I'm thinking I would add a little bit more egg? Usually I make a half recipe and have a little egg leftover anyway. Or can I do a direct swap with no extra moisture? I don't want the cookies to spread too much but don't want them dry either. Usually they come out decently fluffy with just chocolate. I might add a little xanthan gum for extra fluff but it shouldn't make a huge difference.
Here is the recipe:
2¾ cups/310 grams almond flour
¾ teaspoon kosher salt
½ teaspoon baking soda
10 tablespoons/140 grams butter (1¼ sticks)
½ cup/110 grams brown sugar
½ cup/100 grams granulated sugar
1 large egg
1½ teaspoons vanilla
12 ounces/340 grams bittersweet chocolate chips (about 2 cups)
Bake at 350 for 14-16 minutes.
