A list of puns related to "Non Player Character Records"
I found this article saying Non Source Players exist even including my own parents could be fake with no soul and that all celebrities are non source players who are given a script to follow and they are on autopilot. This terrifies the crap out of me. Am I real or am I fake?
I understand that this DNF will likely be focusing around the playable classes from DFO. But there are a number of NPCs and Enemies that IMO are pretty cool and would make an interesting addition to the game. I know it is pretty much not likely, but I would still like to share them.
Since everything is pretty class-base in DNF, I will just add the class that these NPCs/Bosses are as indicated:
On principle I dislike it as a descriptor because itβs dehumanising. Has a similar vibe to βno real person involvedβ in my head, minus the criminal implications.
... but really I hate it because itβs peak vidya vocab, not much different to pog/poggers/whatever the fuck that was.
If you are in a game that the lizarfolk almost died to an mat, please don't see this post.
Well recently the characters decided they didn't want to stay with one of the players character, who almost killed them 2 times, so the player decided to make a new character, but he said that he wanted to do an non curse of strahd character (he said with this words), or a comic relief, the character wold be an rogue goblin who just want to eat meat, and that is all, he said that he wold ask when strahd apears "btw strahd do you happen to have some meat?" or things like that.
I want to let my players create the character that they want, but i'm concerned that this will break the tension of the game, maybe i'm exaggerating and it will go fine, but I idk, what should I do? I let him be what he want and hope for the better or I talk with him about it? (and i'm brazlian so sorry if my english is not great)
This game is basically everything I could have ever wanted, essentially diablo 2 with better graphics. Granted, we dont have lobbies and stuff on ps5 but it's still pretty good. However, the fact that a website that has been around for almost 20 years, across multiple games, can dictate the "price" of items takes away a core element of this game, MF runs. People constantly spouting "Oh that's worth 800 forum gold" or something along those lines don't even realize that this game is already on it's last legs.
You find an item that you know has a good roll and is rare as hell and people ask what you're looking for. You tell them and 8-9 times out of ten get a retort of "Oh nevermind I'll just have a buddy use forum gold" or "Too expensive, I'll just use forum gold."
Hell, it's gotten so bad that whenever someone show's off a cool item with great rolls the top comments are "Oooooooh sell that shit for forum gold and deck out like 2-3 characters."
This type of shit ruins the real d2 experience. We had a fucking legit trading system back in the day and that is already dead with this ridiculous forum gold bullshit. I know this is more of a rant than anything but jesus christ with this "everyone gets a trophy" or "everyone gets instant gratification." This game is already boring because there is almost no reason to farm.
There is no economy and if I was a betting man I'd say this player base will be half or less than that of what it is now by next February/March. People not even wanting to pay an ist for a non sorc or pally torch lol. Farm all the fucking keys and make your own uber killing character yourself and tell me one good reason why any torch should ever be sold cheap.

Hi!
I'm a 4th year student in a games design course, and I'm doing my final year dissertation on how players interact with the characters in games.
As part of that I'm doing a survey. Here's a link: https://forms.office.com/r/bTXb4CRsyV
It would really help me out if I can get some responses to it.
Your answers will be anonymous, the only data gathered will be from the survey questions. Your email and other personal information will not be collected.
If you have any questions or concerns, you may contact me at my email address at c18357866@mytudublin.ie, or just leave a comment and I'll get back to you when I'm not in class!
Thanks, and I look forward to hearing your answers!
I think it's obvious that most people are non player characters. I've seen too many videos on youtube of npcs glitching to think otherwise. Also I can sense AI code around npcs. So I can sometimes sense if someone is an npc. The question is if most people are non player characters then why doesn't the demiurge just use them to forcibly subdue the rest of us. There are a lot more of them then there are of us. If he can't then it seems his access to the programming is limited. Or maybe someone is stopping him. Either way it's obvious most people are non player characters.
Players 1&2 are progressing in sync- the bag, runes, and unlocking of hard mode happened simultaneously between them. I am at same level as they are (at least until we defeated the Ancient Dragon and unlocked hard mode), but I keep having to replay the game as player 1 in order to unlock these things.
I've read a number of threads about this, most of them outdated, and some of the solutions state that another play-through is necessary, while others insist that a patch fixed the game and this should not be an issue anymore.
Well, it is clearly still an issue since I am experiencing it, and it would be really nice to remedy it and actually feel like I'm on the team. We also have two other friends who come to play sometimes, and we're concerned about this happening with them as well.
Does anyone know how to fix this so that I/we can progress at the same rate as the rest of my couch co-op team without replaying? I hope that some new information that I haven't yet found will be revealed in this thread and all will be solved. Otherwise, I'm sorry for posting again about a long standing issue.
I was wondering how you approach this issue, as a player and also as a GM. In RL I'm neither charismatic, nor assertive, and playing online rather than in person makes it even a bigger challenge. This is one of the reasons why I usually end up with characters which are great in combat, but lack social skills, but after a while playing as such becomes boring, as I feel like I can't contribute enough during peaceful times.
Recently we have started a new campaign in 5th edition, and I have decided to get out of my comfort zone and try something different. So I made a bard... with 20 charisma, while my RL charisma is maybe 8 on a good day. I thought for once I will try to be a "face" of the party, but after one session I'm starting to notice a few issues. All other players have charisma 14+ (we all rolled for stats, and few of them are playing as sorcs/warlocks), so most of them do well with charisma based rolls, and also we have some people in our group who are naturally charismatic/assertive and they seem to do most talking. I find it difficult to be able to say my part, and even when I do, it feels like nobody really takes a notice.
How would you roleplay charismatic character while lacking charisma yourself? How would you approach such player as a GM? And how do I explain my frustration to other players and GM, without being labelled as whiner? I don't know if I should just carry on for now, and hopefully once my bard has higher level with maybe some expertise in Persuasion it will become easier to roleplay, at least number wise. Or maybe I should just admit I can't play charismatic character and create barbarian instead? ;)
Gareth: 6th level Fighter; lawful; 31hp; Str 13, Int 15, Wis 10, Dex 9, Con 12, Cha 7; Leather Armour, Sword, Boots, belt; Gareth is the personal bodyguard and boot of King Stephan Karameikos. If you are within ten feet of the King, it is because Gareth is connecting his boot to your face at the King's Command.
He hugged a man once- His Father who died in his embrace. Gareth is a hard and uncomprimising man.
I feel like an NPC. I feel like my life and my existence is minuscule and forgettable enough to confuse me with an object. Like I'm a stripper in Grand Theft Auto. I'm just a void of human form, meant to be convincing enough to appear alive, yet I feel nothing. I'm like a CGI render of a digital creature. Now I play this a game where someone else is the main character and every level is the same. I'm just a shell of consciousness. I'm just a GTA stripper.

Genuine question, not having a sly dig at people or whatever. In the time I've been here I see a lot of the game is doing great or similar. If that is the case why haven't CD/SE put some of that cash back in? Seems they could of avoided the whole exclusivity complaint by spending some funds and firing out another hero? Thoughts?
Excluding Lee, Clememtine, Javier and I guess Alvin Jr, who is your favourite non-player character in TWD game series? I only get 6 options in any poll, so if your choice is not in this list, please write it in the comments. I'm putting in the 6 ones I usually see chosen.
