Hi there! My grandma was Karelian, and her name was Neva, after the Neva River in Russia/Karelia. I was wondering how common this name is in Finland, as I have some friends and family that live in Finland but have never encountered anyone else with this name, online or while visiting Finland. I have now just spent my first vacation in Reno. I have been going from casino to casino to check things out and today I went to Cal Neva. I couldn't believe what I was seeing as I walked through this place. At one point I had growing sense of dread and fear rising up in the pit of my stomach. I realized I had to get out of there. What a seedy, depressing and dirty place. It was like there was a convention for homeless meth heads and this is where they were all meeting up. How does that place stay in business? Who owns it? For you long time residents, was there a time when it was actually a nice place or was it always kind of on the darker side?

I’ve never seen anything bout sheff getting run down on or beat

Hello!

I recently adopted a (almost) 4y/o Neva Masquerade named Watson. I've had him for about a month now, and I've ecountered some challenges. He is an indoor cat, which he has been all his life. I quickly felt that he seems bored, and the feeling is increasing.

I walk him (15 min - 1 hour) and play with him (about 10-15 min x2) every day. We also cuddle a lot, and he follows me everywhere.

A few of the toys he loved when I first got him he now shows no interest in at all. He barely plays alone, does require me to be 100% involved. I've ordered some interactive toys, but they have not arrived yet.

Sometimes after our walks he "cries" forever and ever. Walks around meowing and meowing. Seems like he is complaining/searching for someone. Yesterday, for the first time ever, he jumped out the front door when I opened it to leave for work. We had recently gone on a walk on which i brought some of his toys and played with him whilst we were out - which he seemed to love! He ran down to the downstairs front door (I live in an apartment building) and was scratching on the door to get out... I don't know if he just loved the play session we just had and wanted to continue, or straight up hate it here..

I feel like he's started having some behavioral issues, like peeing in the shower during the night (he's done this 3 or 4 times), and is banging/scratching on the balcony door to wake me up..

Any tips or ideas? I've been thinking of getting another cat for him to be with, but thats further down the line for now.

You have gone through and are still going through one of your greatest trials while in this physical environment, but it is already ending. You will understand.
