A list of puns related to "My Lottery Dream Home"
Anyone else notice on My Lottery Dream Home that the house the person picks is already being lived in by them when they look at it with David. I know House Hunters has already been called out on this. I noticed in one of the MLDH episodes the winner was wearing this bright yellow shirt with ruffle sleeves on it at the 1st house showing. Then the next house they looked at (and eventually the one she picked) it had that same yellow shirt hanging in the closet when they looked at it. And when they show the 3 months later clips the house has the same furniture from when they looked at it. It makes sense they do a false showing this way because deals fall thru all the time so the house they pick they might not actually get. I would just feel weird pretending to just see a house I was already living in, and then comparing it to other houses I know I'm not going to buy.
I am just NOW seeing this and who is hosting? The one and only Laurence Llewellyn Bowen!!!! Does anyone remember him? He was on the (original) English version of Trading Spaces and my favorite designer. I can't wait to see more of this! Between David and Laurence I'm in heaven!
Edit: fixed the spelling of Laurence's name
Thank you to the other poster that turned me on to this show! I love the original MLDH with David Bromstad, and I love the new host Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen! He wears funky tailored suits and has a great rapport with his winners.
All three episodes I found were set in the UK. I used to live in England when I was stationed there in the USAF, so it's fun to see the older houses which look similar to what were around when I was there. And then to see the updated newer homes is awesome! Still different than ours and I have so many questions! For instance, I see the heating elements (at least I think that's what they are) that look like sleek radiators. I guess even in newer homes there isn't central heating? I remember it was overcast and rainy there except for one exceptionally beautiful sunny day when all of us were laying out on the picnic tables outside the dorms, and since I was a medic, I got called into work because the Brits were dropping like flies in the "heat" when it got over 70. So no need for central air conditioning.
Anyway I really enjoyed it. Hope to see more added. For anyone wondering, I'm on YouTube TV, and when I did a search for it, it aired on CNN of all places, although a Google search shows it was on HGTV at some point. The third episode was especially cute in the beginning, because they showed David handing a baton to Laurence and him taking over the intro.
This episode is on right now and this couple is a little off. They won $100,000. They start off by saying they are down sizing to a two bedroom because their kids sleep with them. Mind you we are talking about an 11yo , 5 yo and a infant. Why ?!?! Then they go on about how they want a 3 car garage. Why?!?! This is just so weird, I am sorry
Does anyone remember last year right before the pandemic they debuted a British version of my lottery dream home in the US? I donβt remember the name but they had only like 1 or 2 episodes. I really liked it and I was wondering if anyone else caught it while it was on.
I like the host and I like the idea of the show, but every time I watch this show I feel like they aren't "Millionaire" type homes that I expect from the promos. The promos make it seem like it should be mansions with giant water features in the driveway, but I see nicer homes on House Hunters or Beachfront Bargain.
I just want to see if Iβm being a hater or if anyone else agrees he is π.
This is my first reddit post ever but I decided to tell you an anecdote which happened the other day.
So two days ago, my Itto excitement finally manifested him in my dream which I haven't done (dreaming) in a while. In the dream, the moment I got him, i slapped him some trash artifacts and went to fight the whopper flower immediately. And at his first slash, the number went around 8000000. Of course, even in the dream, I couldn't believe it. I was so happy tho so I woke up feeling great and didn't think too much of it. Then when i went to work normally, and almost forgot about it until someone reminded me that it's the day of lottery. Now, now, I don't promote gambling. (who'd believe me tho when i play genshin) I don't really buy lottery either but it's an inside thing at my office to keep track of lottery day and guess the number to see who got it right or close to it.
Anyway, because it's been a while since I dreamed so vividly and even saw a number so clearly, i decided to spend a dollar on it for giggles. So I went for number, 80 and 08. So at 4pm, the result is out. And lo and behold, I was 2 numbers off. The result came out to be 82.
I didn't even feel bad, actually I feel so satisfied knowing I was so close. I laughed so hard when i think about how I'm so excited for Itto that he appeared in my dream and gave me some lottery number. Lol.
Anyway, I didn't expect to win anything, I've always been bad in gacha or anything luck related so that's why I made sure I guarantee Itto and bring him home. Can't wait for him.
