A list of puns related to "Muhammad Abbas"
Hello. Apologies for the wall of text.
I have been following Abbas since his tour to England. I remember how he dismissed English batsmen for cheap in first innings, which played major role in Pakistan's only test win.
But what is curious, how englishmen adapted to the conditions. During 2nd innings, they started taking guard outside the crease with the exception of one or two batsmen. Lo and behold. They immediately looked totally different batsmen batting against the most ordinary bowler the world may have produced. And the result of 2nd match proved to be different as well, as they owned Abbas in that match, leveling the series 1-1.
So, how did Pakistan counter that? Well, they couldn't. Sarfraz, the fitness champion he was, and captain at the time, didn't even bother standing close to stumps as he was downright incompetent to collect balls travelling at that pace. That reminded me of Gilchrist, how he used to stand right up to stumps for Aussie Medium Pacer: Ian Harvey. The nip and slight swing were enough to catch the batsmen in the crease while he bowled wicket to wicket.
Fast forward to South Africa tour, and Abbas failed again. And everyone questioned him for the lack of pace. That's when we first started to hear about his shoulder injury. Seems convenient. No one even suggested how keeper should suck it up and at least try to do his job for a change. Because standing close to stumps would require fitness of Sarfraz and more effort on his part.
Eventually, Abbas was left out of the ODI squads citing the same shoulder injuries when Amir was available. Had the medium pacer played ODIs and bowled his quota of 10 overs, with nip and seam he gets off the new ball, and keeper standing close to stumps, the results might have been drastic for the opposition in the world cup. Reason? Because, Abbas is crafty with the ball. He works the batsman by bowling over and over again, in the same area and rely on slight variations of seam movement on deck, as his real weapon. That's what earned him huge victory in the start of his career in UAE. The dead track where the only the likes of McGrath succeeded for the same reason.
But McGrath used to bowl in mid-high 130s, fast enough that I almost never saw any batsman standing outside his crease to him. Also, partly because of his height. The well directed bouncer to batsman advancing was too much of risk to take. But Abbas doesn't have height to

Hi! This post will go in depth into the argument that Aisha was not nine when Mohammad consummated the marriage. Let us proceed. I will try word this in a way where you can copy paste this into any argument for easy deconstruction.
First of all let us take a look at all the Hadiths confirming that Aisha was nine, there are many classified Sahih hadiths saying this, from many different narrators.
https://sunnah.com/nasai:3255 | https://sunnah.com/nasai:3256 | https://sunnah.com/nasai:3378 | https://sunnah.com/ibnmajah:1877 | https://sunnah.com/bukhari:5133 | https://sunnah.com/bukhari:5134 | https://sunnah.com/bukhari:5158 |
These are all classified as Sahih by many scholars. We would have to find equal or greater proof to this to prove that she was older than this to disprove it. Let us take a look at arguments that try to discredit this.
There are five semi-credible claims that we will take a look at.
Hisham ibn Urwa was the only one to narrate the hadith, and he narrated it when he was in Iraq, a time when he was accused of having a bad memory.
Asma, the older sister of Aisha, was ten years older than Aisha. Since Asma passed away in 692 CE at the age of 100, this would maker Aisha eighteen years old when the marriage was consummated.
Fatima was born at the time the Kaaba was rebuilt, when the Prophet was thirty-five years old, and she was five years older than Aisha, making Aisha about twelve years old when she married the Prophet.
Aisha participated in the Battle of Uhud. Ibn Umar narrates that the Prophet did not permit him to participate in Uhud because he was fourteen, but when he was fifteen the Prophet gave him permission to fight in the battle of the Trench (Khandaq). Thus, Aisha must have been at least fifteen at the time of Uhud, meaning she consummated the marriage at thirteen or fourteen years old.
Aisha narrated in Bukhari: “This revelation [in Surah al-Qamar]: ‘Nay, but the Hour is their appointed time (for their full recompense), and the Hour will be more grievous and most bitter’ was revealed to Muḥammad in Makkah while I was a playful little girl.”
First Argument: Hisham had bad memory.
Hisham Ibn Urwa is the main person recorded saying this, but he is hardly the only one. Aswad ibn Yazid and Abi Salama ibn Abdur-Rahman are also recorded as such.
The claim against Hisham’s memory was made by Abdul Hassan Ibn Al-Qattan, however many muslim scholars disagreed with him. Imam Aldhahabi said “[Hisham] never

All praises and thanks is due to God, we are soon to reach the month of Ramadan once again, and I hope we are all super excited, insha'Allah. This year is different for many of us due to the circumstances of the world and the epidemic we are experiencing, but the optimist, which as Muslims we must strive to be, will see this as an opportunity.
"When the month of Ramadan arrives, the doors of mercy are opened." - Prophet Muhammad, may peace be upon him
Ramadan is a month of true reflection on oneself, striving to become better people through worship and good deeds. I think we should really focus on striving hard this Ramadan to regain a footing on our iman, that which our relationships are based upon - if we are in a lull, I want us to get out of it, if we are on a high, I want us to maintain it. I want us to get excited and eager to please Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, this Ramadan. In Surat Al-Waqi`ah, Allah says that there are three kinds of people, those of the left hand, those of the right hand, and those who are as-Sabiqoon, but who are those? The ones that are the forerunners, the ones that are nearest to Allah. I don't want us to settle for the right hand, I know we can always do better, I know we can be of as-Sabiqoon.
Ramadan is also, and primarily, the month of the Qur'an! For those that do not know, Ramadan is the month in which the Qur'an was revealed in. As Muslims today, and ever since the time of the Prophet Muhammad, may peace be upon him, we stand in prayer every night during taraweeh for hours after we finish our fast and recite the Qur'an, 1/30th of it every night for 30 nights, so by the end of the month we have recited the entire Qur'an!
Most of you will remember that I did a daily Ramadan post last year citing the Juz (section or part) of the Qur'an that is recited that day, and I will be doing the same thing this year, insha'Allah, along with the relevant context and short summary of the Juz.

I will go through the "miracles" on the website 19miracle.org:
>Miracle 19 Fact #1. The first verse (1:1), known as “Basmalah,” consists of 19 letters (Basmalah: image with letters marked).
Muhammad was illiterate, the Arabic letters are not a part of the revelation, they were made up later. And the number of letter depends on how you write it. Arabic writing has a problem that it doesn't write vowels. If they were smarter when designing Arabic writing, they would include vowels and the letter count would be higher. And in the case of basmala, the first word بسم has inconsistent spelling. Because in the verse 96:1, the same word is spelled as باسم. How do you know which spelling is right? If we chose the second which is equivalent, basmala would have 20 letters. Also the word الرحمن would be written as الرحمان in today's Arabic script. The alifs are a mess even within the Quran (see Spelling Inconsistencies in the Quran).
>Miracle 19 Fact #2. The Quran consists of 114 suras, which is …………..19 x 6.
Today's canonized Quran has 114 suras, but Muhammad's companions didn't know whether sura 9 (tawba aka baraa) is its own sura or only a continuation of sura 8 (anfal):
>When an Ayah was revealed, he would say: "Put this Ayah in the Surah which mentions this and that in it." Now Al-Anfal was among the first of those revealed in Al-Madinah, and Bara'ah among the last of those revealed of the Qur'an, and its narrations (those of Bara'ah) resembled its narrations (those of Al-Anfal), so we thought that it was part of it. Then the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) died, and it was not made clear to us whether it was part of it. So it is for this reason that we put them together without writing Bismillahir-Rahmanir-Rahim between them, and we put that with the seven long (Surahs).'" - Tirmidhi Vol. 5, Book 44, Hadith 3086 - hasan
If sura 9 is just a continuation of sura 8, then the Quran has only 113 suras.
>Miracle 19 Fact #3. The total number of verses in the Quran is 6346, or ….19 x 334.
The number of verses is not established, because Muhammad didn't specify clearly where verse ends and a new one starts, so

You hear that very often don't you? One of the most used arguments against Islam l
Here is a total refutation of this silly myth
#1) the fallacy of presentism
What people that use this argument don't understand is that the moral construct of today was not the one of centuries ago, morality goes through an evolution as time passes and doesn't remain he same as always
Example :
In the 30s doctors used to think that smoking was actually healthy but now with advanced scientific research we have come to discover that it is the exact opposite of that, but do we call people who used to think that smoking is healthy stupid? No, because it wasn't known at that time and we didn't have as much knowledge, do we call someone today who thinks smoking is healthy stupid? With as much knowledge, proof , medical and scientific evidence we have today that say so, simply yes
Conclusion :
We cannot blame Prophet Muhammad PBUH for marrying Aisha RA simply because that was the morality of that time and not of today and who knows , maybe even in the future people will judge us for something we believe or think now
#2) people who use this argument are against cultural relativism
Similar to the first point, Basically judging someone based on his cultural morality, morality is different depending on the culture, we can see that easter morality is different that the westeran and that the morality of this country is different than this country, ect ...
In seventh century Arabia and even now in some countries, marriage at a young age is perfectly normal and socially acceptable and we cannot judge people based on our concept of morality because of ours
We should judge people by cultural relativism and it is by doing so with regarding their values, beliefs, morals, etc... By the culture they were brought up with, we cannot simply say that this person is immoral because in your country it is immoral, you yourself can be immoral in another person's country although it seems to be totally normal in yours
#3)“muhammad abused Aisha by forcibly marrying her"
This claim is simply false, a person that'll make this claim is not only ignorant of Islam but it's teachings as well , forced marriage is prohibited by Prophet Muhammad himself in the hadith and for the claim that Prophet Muhammad forcibly married Aisha, let us take a look at what Aisha has to say herself :
Sunnan ibn majah
It was narrated that : "Aisha said we ha

So what follows is a review of some of the books and their authors who recorded the histories of the Islamic rulers, and quotes from some of the descriptions within them about the cities they attacked and the temples they destroyed. It really shows how demoniac and cruel these rulers were.
The evidence of destruction of thousands of Hindu temples can be primarily found from two different sources:
1. Literary Evidence from the work of renowned Islamic historians
2. Epigraphic Evidence from the inscriptions on numerous Mosques all over India.
This article deals with only the literary evidence.
Hundreds of Muslim historians have glorified the deeds of their Muslim heroes all over India. This by no means is an exhaustive list! To learn more about this, please read both volumes of, Hindu Temples: What Happened To Them? by Sita Ram Goel.
There is elaborate literary evidence from the Islamic sources which glorify the crimes committed by the Muslims in India. Crimes such as the desecration of the Hindu idols, looting of the temples, killing devotees and raping have been well documented by the Muslim historians themselves. They have done so because according to them these Muslim rulers by doing such deeds were following the tenets of Islam and Sunnah of the prophet Mohammed. The literary evidence stated below is in chronological order with reference to the time at which a particular work was written.

Let me begin saying that the post made against Islam was not honest and OP left out most of the Islamic history out of the whole post and he made few false statements against the religion itself. In this refutation i will argue against these points that need to be clarified. Please read both posts and then start commenting.
Also, OP's is himself being displaying great lack of critical thinking and attaining basic information regarding the verses he is quoted and the Hadiths, i will explains this in details. He even quotes a Tafsir and leaves part of it just to argue his point, dishonesty.
So first of all, OP started defining "what intellectualism means in the context of the Quran and Islam, and what intellectualism means when we are discussing epistemology. ".
OP took a exegesis regarding a verse of the Quran " 8:22 " and he concluded "The function of reason in the Quran is to validate the Quran, not to question it. It is not right for a Muslim to interrogate the principles of theology, instead one should submit to the will of God through revelation."
This is completely false. How is anyone supposed to find out the truth if not asking certain and specific questions relating to the principles of the religion and on the theology? Also, OP said "The function of reason in the Quran is to validate the Quran, not to question it."
Excuse me, what does "validate" mean? Lets see couple of definitions of the word shall we:

Allah’s Messenger said: Gabriel had promised me that he would meet me tonight, but he did not meet me. By Allah, he never broke his promises, and Allah’s Messenger spent the day in this sad mood. Then it occurred to him that there had been a puppy under their cot. He commanded and it was turned out. He then took some water in his hand and sprinkled it at that place. When it was evening Gabriel met him and he said to him: You promised me that you would meet me the previous night. He said: Yes, but we do not enter a house in which there is a dog or a picture. Then on that very morning he commanded the killing of the dogs until he announced that the dog kept for the orchards should also be killed, but he spared the dog meant for the protection of extensive fields or big gardens.
(Muhammad ordered the killings of dogs because he believed the reason why Angel Gabriel did not visit him was because there was a dog hiding under the cot inside his house)
