A list of puns related to "Military Law Academy"
I'm just trying to get an idea of what starfleet academy is actually like, and what the age range of the students there are - are they more like undergrads or is it more mature?
Many thanks for any info

Edit: These are some great questions, and I really appreciate all of them. I will be fielding questions for about another 30 minutes. I will be logging off at about 1:45 p.m.
Edit 2: Thank you again for all of the great questions! I would also like to thank the mods of r/politics. I have really enjoyed fielding your questions. For my fellow Alaskans: I would greatly appreciate your vote on November 8th! For my new non-Alaskan supporters: I would greatly appreciate a contribution on my website for a late push to beat Lisa Murkowski and elect a candidate who is All Work & No Party!
Just found out that my brother in law who is finishing his first year at one of the US military academies decided not to go on a mission. It's awesome, because that means he doesn't have to leave for two years and then go through the arduous application process again. It's very competitive, to get back in, and even though he would probably get back in thanks to his congressman living in Utah, I'm pretty sure it hurts their career to do that. It is going to be so much better for his career, and for his life. I got sh*t all from my mission, didn't even learn a language, and I didn't graduate until I was 27 because I spent all my time before and after my mission working and saving for it. Even though I'm happy with where I'm at, I feel like I've been playing catch up ever since. At 22 he is going to have a relevant degree from a prestigious university, and a lifelong career both in the military or in the private sector as he chooses. The most surprising thing is that my TBM mother and father in law think it's a good idea, and are supportive of it too, something I wouldn't have guessed would happen in a million years. Anyway, cheers to common sense, and logical life planning! It's nice to see others make smart life choices in the face of Utah peer pressure, and false promises.
If anyone has any questions about West Point and is considering applying, hit me up and Iโll answer your questions as best I can.
Which did you find more difficult and why ? Thanks
I have done some calculations of whether Military Academies, which focus on boosting your knights, or Jousting Grounds, which focus on boosting your men-at-arms, are better, and have come to the conclusion that Military Academies are several times worse than Jousting Grounds, unless you live in the Middle East or India where you have access to camelries and elephantries.
I will compare these two buildings based on how many total extra points of Damage and Toughness it adds to your army.
First, I will assume we have 5 units of Armored Horsemen with size 12, and 15 Knights. These numbers were taken from my latest game in the 1100s.
If we build 2 Military Academies, at max level they give +12 Knights and +150% Knight Effectiveness.
Each Knight gets 100 Damage and 10 Prowess per point of prowess. Assume our Knights have an average of 15 prowess, and we have already have 60% of Knight Effectiveness, 20% from Tech and 40% from 2 Special Buildings (e.g. Hagia Sophia, Cologne Cathedral).
For our existing 15 Knights: originally, they have a total of
15*15*100 = 22500 base Damage, and
15*15*10 = 2250 base Toughness
The +150% Knight Effectiveness will grant an extra 22500*1.5 = 33750 Damage and 3375 Toughness to your existing Knights. (I don't take into account the 60% Knight Effectiveness we already have because they don't come from our military academies)
For the extra 12 Knights, they will have a total of
12*15*100*(1+0.6+1.5) = 55800 Damage
12*15*10*(1+0.6+1.5) = 5580 base Toughness
Total: 33750 + 55800 = 89550 Damage, 3375 + 5580 = 8955 Toughness.
If you build 2 Jousting Grounds, at max level we get +90% Heavy Cavalry Damage, and Heavy Cavalry Toughness.
We assumed that we have 5 size 12 Armored Horsemen. Armored Horsemen have a base size of 50 units, 100 Damage and 35 Toughness.
So, we have
5*12*50*100 = 300,000 base Damage
5*12*50*35 = 105,000 base Toughness
+90% to both is going to give us an extra 0.9*300,000 = 270,000 Damage and 0.9*105,000 = 94500 Toughness. We can improve our Heavy Cavalry with Regimental Grounds, but we only consider the bonuses given by the Jousting Grounds here.
Now, if you play in the Middle East or India, the numbers change as you can build camelries and elephantries that give +4 Knights each at max-level.
Now, let's calculate how many camelries/elephantries we need to make Military

I looked back at him and thought maybe it was meant to be a bad joke but that was not the case. ... When the instructor asked me the next day after class to 'not run with this thing to Mikey Weinstein' [MRFF] I was shocked again."
The MRFF has been in contact with the academy administration to seek an action on this violation of church-state separation. https://myemail.constantcontact.com/Air-Force-Academy-Instructor-Outrageously-Asks-Cadet-If-He-s-Accepted-Jesus-Christ--Then-Implores-Cadet-Not-To-Run-To-Mikey-Wein.html?soid=1101766362531&aid=goI66eKB6tE
Just out of curiosity cause tbh I am not very interested in them either. Despite knowing that they are great schools and a great deal (you go to college for free and then get professional experience guaranteed), I still am just not interested in them and neither are any of my peers at school lol. Wondering why this is and if you are/aren't interested in these schools, can you say why?
I have only suffered a few severe beatings at the hands of angry men.
In origin, West Point was primarily an engineering school. Many early graduates were critical to the building of railways, bridges, etc. (and one major revolt against the government). Would the U.S. have become as great an industrial power without the USMA?
