A list of puns related to "Midnight Mary"
In this episode of The Investigator Games: Sister Mary gets her rosary beads and holy blade and heads out into Arkham to find cultists. How will she go? Will she find VP heaven? Or Acolyte Hell!

I've read The Winner's Curse, and didn't like it much (a 2-star rating for me, I think it was), but am still thinking of continuing the series, because I'm a little curious of how it will continue (and I thought the characters were sometimes alright). I don't like many of the popular YA books (and have never liked any sequel better than the first book), but do you think I might like this if I continue? (I don't care much about the romance, so if most of the mc's decisions are based on something that has to do with the love interest, I don't think I'll continue). It's just that I've heard it's more politics, which I like more than romance.
Currently halfway through The Kiss of Deception, and I haven't liked anything about it yet. Right now, I don't think I'll change my mind about it at the end (that almost never happens, no matter how many people tell me how it will definitely get better - those twists people are telling me about, often just makes it even more dissappointing for me). I don't care much about what happens next either, only a little curious if I'll end up liking it a little bit towards the end (which is usually why I finish books I don't enjoy reading - because in maybe 1 og 30 books, I do actually change my mind in the end).
I found out The Midnight Lie is set in the same world as The Winner's Curse, and that Dance of Thieves is set in the same world as The Kiss of Deception. So, question: How similar are these books/series? (characters, plot, romance, action, mood). I feel like some authors write books that are a little too much like each other (I might have liked and finished one of Sarah J. Maas' series had I not read a little of all three of them).
Another question: If you like Sarah J. Maas, Leigh Bardugo, Holly Black, Stephanie Garber, Kerri Maniscalco and all those popular YA fantasy/romance authors, how likely do you think it is you'll also like Marie Rutkoski and Mary E. Pearson's books?
I can't really answer, since I feel it's been so random which books I've liked. I usually end up liking the first book/series I read by an author more than the second, and it's been random which series I've started first. Other than Folk of the Air (where I only liked the first book) and The Lunar Chronicles (liked all of them), I haven't cared much about any of the other series.
Asking because I will still recommend these authors/series to the right person, even if I don't like them myself. I own the books, and I don't know if I sho

Aliceβs human name is Mary Alice Brandon, and she didnβt know this until James revealed this to Bella in the ballet studio, and until Bella urged her to watch the video recording. In the book, as soon as she decides to grab the video camera, she sees what her reaction to the video, as well as Edwardβs reaction, will be. Edward sees parts of this but Alice quickly redirects her thoughts so Edward wonβt hear it and lose his head.
Earlier in the book, itβs also revealed that Alice can interpret and understand her complex visions better than Edward, obviously, because heβs just an outsider looking in. He assumes that neither of them got anything from the burst of visions, but this moment proves him wrong.
Alice doesnβt have alone time away from Edward to process the visions before she does the whole planning and rewriting the future for the best outcome thing. Meaning that she had learned about her past (at least enough to know her name) from that one brief vision storm before they were all in the car on their way to the hotel and then to the hospital.
I love the little details that shine through when you reread a book! Itβs so neat! Also, I love Aliceβs complex character and how powerful she is, an enormous asset to the Cullen clan despite appearing small and dainty. Midnight Sun really has me somehow loving these characters even more than before π
