Suggestion: Subideologies (warning: text dump)

I've seen a few ideas to try and adapt the base game's subideologies system to KR, and other mods have actually implemented similar systems (such as The New Order after their latest update), but I haven't seen a comprehensive list of what those subideologies should be yet, so having too much time on my hands, I put one together, with examples of which leaders would go where.

Note: These can and should be edited and swapped around as needed. Some leaders are in different ideologies than in the current game, so this could also be considered a suggestion to swap around some leaders' ideologies too to have some of this make more sense. If any of these categories or choices don't fit the current lore or don't work for some other reason, feel free to make further suggestions down below. I tried to make this different from TNO (as that was the system I heavily based this on), but there will inevitably be heavy similarities in some naming. I also merged MarLib and SocLib for simplicity, as it would be hard to put multiple subideologies for both otherwise given their similarities and they make more sense as subcategories of one ideology in this new system.

National Populism

  • National Populism: Boris Savinkov, Italo Balbo
  • Integralism: Arlindo Veiga dos Santos, Charles de Gaulle

  • Ultramilitarism: Eugen Bircher, Ma Bufang, Maximiliano Hernández Martínez, Manuel Carlés
  • Esoteric Nationalism: Zhang Tianran, William Dudley Pelley
  • Synarchism: José Antonio Urquiza

  • Military Regime: Philippe Pétain (pre-coup), Douglas MacArthur (ACW), Alexander Kolchak, Pablo González Garza, Germán Busch, Madamin Bek, Pavlo Skoropadsky

The Minimalist Entrepreneur By Sahil Lavingia. What I’ve Learned?

Hi There,

I feel close to the Minimalist movement. I love entrepreneurship. So with a title like “The Minimalist Entrepreneur,” I was curious.

I started with a preconception; I’m not sure I’ll learn something new in this book. But as I have no problem starting a book and not finishing it, I began.

But this one enters in the category “started and finished quickly.” It made me discover this movement of young entrepreneurs who are no longer interested in outside capital. They have another model for the business of tomorrow.

I enjoyed it and learned a lot.

Sahil’s story.

Sahil was born in the internet culture. His latest Job, designer at Pinterest.

A curious and ambitious guy with an idea in mind to become a Billionaire.

One weekend he has the idea of Gumroad. A platform to help designers to sell online easily.

>“I was looking for a way to sell an icon for a buck, and couldn’t find anything great online.”

As he didn’t find the solution, he thought why not create it.

With a minimalist approach, he gave himself a weekend to launch the prototype. And he did it.

Sometimes you wonder how long it takes to change a life trajectory. For Sahil it was a weekend. He quit his great job and embarked on the Gumroad adventure.

>“Starting a business should be an option for everyone, no matter your background.”

His initial idea and his identity change…

Create the next Unicorn, those famous startups that reach a billion valuations. But he was quickly disillusioned.

Short-term growth at all costs did not suit him. He didn’t see himself in “growth at all cost” and “winner takes all markets.”

>“Make more money than you spend, and you’ll never go out of business. Simple as that. I got in this to stay in this, not to get out of it, so profits align very nicely with longevity in business.”
— Jason Fried

This is where the identity switch started to happen. From “Unicorn chaser to Minimalist entrepreneur’.

The minimalist Entrepreneur. What is it?

“Making a difference while making a living.” And to be able to live this ideal, the minimalist entrepreneur aims for small but profitable from day one. This is the key to his independence.

In fact, I knew these companies without knowing the term.

When I was Managing Director of a European subsidiary for an international group, I was looking (before Covid) for a way to communicate in a faster and more transparent way with my employees. I found the Basecamp software.

I first read

Looking at Nills drafting record

I recently watched a video from the hockey guy and he mentioned why Nill wasn't talked about as much about someone on the hot seat. I decided to look at how he drafted since he became General Manager in 2013. I won't look at the drafts from 2019-21 as there's not enough time to decide who from those drafts will be quality NHL players. I will look at 2018's since a majority of those first round players are now in the NHL. Now I'm not sure if he had a hand in the 2013 draft or not, so if he didn't, ignore the 2013 draft.

In 2013 the Stars drafted Valeri Nichushkin, Jason Dickinson, Remi Elie, Philippe Desrosiers, Niklas Hansson, Nick Paul, Cole Ully, Matej Paulovic, and Aleksi Makela. Out of all of them, only four have played in the NHL.

In 2014 the Stars drafted Julius Honka, Brett Pollock, Alex Peter's, Michael Prapavessis, Brent Moran, Miro Karjalainen, Aaron Haydon, John Nyberg, and Patrick Sanvido. This has been the worst draft under Nill so far as only one of those players has seen the NHL.

In 2015 the Stars drafted Denis Gurianov, Roope Hintz, Chris Martenet, Joseph Cecconi, and Markus Ruusu. Two of those five have made it to the NHL.

In 2016 the Stars drafted Riley Tufte, Fredrik Karlstrom, Rhett Gardner, Colton Point, Nicholas Caamano, and Jakob Stenqvist. Three of them have played in the nhl, but none of them have managed to stay for long periods of time.

In 2017 the Stars drafted Miro Heiskanen, Jake Oettinger, Jason Robertson, Liam Hawel, Jacob Peterson, Brett Davis, and Dylan Ferguson. Four of them have played in the NHL, making this the best draft for Nill so far.

In 2018 the Stars drafted Ty Dellandrea, Albin Eriksson, Oskar Back, Adam Mascherin, Curtis Douglas, Riley Damiani, Dawson Barteaux, and Jermaine Loewen. Only one has seen NHL time but there's still time for this to change.

Looking it over a few things came to mind, this list is extremely underwhelming, Nill can't draft outside the first two rounds, and development of those that have signed with Dallas hasn't had much success. Of all 44 players on this list, only 15 have played in the NHL, that is terrible. Bowness may not get a lot out of his players, but Nill certainly isn't drafting many who could make an impact.

Dropped my best ever dad joke & no one was around to hear it

For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.

I said "hey look, an escaPEA"

No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!

Edit: I can't believe how much this has blown up. Thank you everyone I've had a blast reading through the replies 😂

These aren't dad jokes...

Dad jokes are supposed to be jokes you can tell a kid and they will understand it and find it funny.

This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.

If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.

Edit* I'm not replying any longer and turning off notifications but to all those that say "no one cares", there sure are a lot of you arguing about it. Maybe I'm wrong but you people don't need to be rude about it. If you really don't care, don't comment.

Olympic Swimming Top 3 Bets For Sunday Morning Finals

Edit:Monday morning finals,Sunday evening in the US

They just have top 3 odds for the mens 100 breast and womens 100 fly on bovada right now,but they should add the mens 400 free relay and womens 400 free soon. Fwiw,Ill be eyeing Hungary to top 3 depending on their odds.

For mens 100 breast,I think theres value on Yan Zibei from China to top 3 at +200. The guy ahead of him,Martinenghi from Italy, has a history of adding time in the finals。Someone else also pointed out that the overall poor performance of European swimmers may be attributed to swimming finals when their body clock says its midnight-2am. Maybe theres something to that in the future and we can fade overvalued Europeans. Will also fade Michael Andrew at +225, his stroke doesn't look right to me. Also, Kamminga to top 3 at -300 is pretty good value too if you don't mind laying juice. I see the top 3 going Peaty-Kamminga-Yan Zibei.

For womens 100 fly,I slammed Zhang Yufei at even money to win gold. Consistently sub 56 and she looks really smooth in the water. Also don't mind Emma Mckeon to top 3, but you have to lay some juice at -250. Lots of Europeans in this final, and I will test out this sleepy European theory with betting Mckeon to medal. Ive also listened to a bunch of podcasts with her and Im impressed. After getting caught partying after curfew in Rio 2016, she has matured alot over the past 5 years. Shes training really hard and has the times to back up this prediction.

For the relay, I think Hungary has a decent shot at the podium and will bet depending on their odds. Hopefully we can get better than 4-1. Also, for the womens 400 free, I'm interested to see what Summer MacIntosh's odds are to top 3. I haven't been too impressed with the Canadian team so far, but this girl is 14 years old and keeps dropping loads of time each swim. Hopefully 3-1 or better on McIntosh. I also have Titmus pretty heavy to win gold in the 400 free at around -200. They haven't reposted but maybe you can get a better price on her post-prelims because Ledecky had a faster prelim swim. I'm not putting too much stock into this though, as Titmus is clearly saving her energy for the final. She'll be right next to Ledecky in Lane 5 tonight.

Cliffs:Yan Zibei top 3 mens 100 breast at +200 and Kamminga top 3 mens 100 breast -300. Zhang Yufei to win womens 100 fly gold at even money,Emma Mckeon to top 3 womens 100 fly at -250. Also got odds for who will win each semi final of the womens 100 breast this evening. I
