A list of puns related to "Mezzo soprano saxophone"
The title says it all. I am interested in buying an F Mezzo Soprano saxophone, but I can't find one online anywhere. I don't need one that's in playing condition, in fact having one that's completely broken would be fine as long as it had most of the parts still. I know they are not very common, but does anyone know where I can find one?
If anyone has one to sell, that would be awesome. I don't have any money now, but I'd be willing to sped up to $1,500 by September.
Thank you!
This question came up and it might be a little touchy. I used to be a baritone but now after training my Full range is A2-C6. Im just curious to see cause most professors Iβve talked to suggest I sing tenor/baritone, so Iβm wondering if thatβs just whatβs expected.
Hello musicians and music-lovers of reddit! You've helped me before, so I'm hoping you can do it again. I'm looking to program an operatic trio for performance hour at my university. However, I'm having a hard time making the right selection. I'm not set on a a particular composer or period. Here's some background...
I am a coloratura soprano with some lyric tendencies. However, my range is fairly large and I don't mind singing lyric lines or delving into the lower parts of my range so long as it doesn't require a massive voice. I have a decent amount of experience with virtuosic repertoire like Strauss' Amor (from Sechs Lieder, Op. 68), Mozart's O, Zittre Nicht (from Die zauberflΓΆte), etc.
My partner is a lyric mezzo. She doesn't have quite as much practice as I do (an organist/harpsichordist first and singer second). Though she's somewhat lacking in experience, she has the best sense of perfect pitch I have ever encountered and can sight read like no one's business. Her voice is larger than mine in the lower register, but she doesn't have a lot of control up top. She finds the higher range a bit intimidating, especially if the notes come out of nowhere or have to be especially delicate. She also doesn't have much practice with intense coloratura. Because we've worked together many times, I am very comfortable singing with her and our intonation/balance in duet settings is strong. She's sung as Annio from Clemenza di Tito.
Our tenor is less familiar to me, but, as far as I know, excellent. He might overpower me in the lower register, but our balance is good up high. He hasn't sung with the mezzo yet, so I'm not sure about their dynamic. His musicianship is strong and his voice is fairly flexible. He pulled of Alfredo (La Traviata) well, but I haven't heard much of his other rep.
I've done some research and most of the results have been duets for two sopranos and tenor (which isn't fun for our mezzo) or soprano, mezzo, and bass/baritone (which isn't fair to our tenor). It doesn't have to be a perfect fit, but I think we can do better than this.
I appreciate any ideas. Thank you!
Hi! I've been struggling to determine what my 'true' vocal type is.
I can sing about an F3 - C6, but some sources tell me that I'm a soprano, whilst others tell me I'm an alto, so it just gets confusing.
So help me, dear Redditors! How can I truly tell what my vocal type is?
Is it possible to comfortably sing a song written for a light-soprano as a mezzo-soprano without lowering the key? I really donβt wanna put in the work if itβs not gonna work anyways because itβs physically not possible. I feel like those singers sing everything in a comfortable chest voice and might mix a little on the very high notes in the bridge, but Iβd have to mix the whole song except for the verses lol
My voice is horrible lol. I like to record myself while singing and I always sound so horrible (before anyone says recordings arenβt your real voice, the recording isnβt the only issue here, i have some issues with my sinuses and they make my voice sound so nasal, like im speaking from my nose. However a few months ago i took some meds and they helped with the congestion so now i no longer sound very nasal). However I still have a bad singing voice. Iβll admit it isnβt like absolutely horrible, it just needs a ton of training.
So, how can I improve? I specifically want to have a mezzo soprano voice, so is it possible? I mean I did research and apparently singing is one of the few βnatural talentsβ that you can acquire by training, and that motivated me. So, how can I improve?
Iβve been trying to figure this out for a while, I always thought she was a mezzo but Bonnie and Clyde seems to have proven otherwise? Iβd appreciate any thoughts, I donβt know enough about singing to be able to definitively say for myself.
my music theory knowledge isnt the best so I was wondering if someone could tell me how to play the fingering for a b "flat" on the soprano saxophone i arleady know how to play the fingering for a b"flat" on the alto saxophone but my band teacher wants me to play soprano saxophone instead of the alto saxophone and so i want to know how to play b "flat" fingering on the soprano saxophone (not alto saxophone)
I only say this because Iβve seen and heard from band directors that Soprano Sax is a rare instrument that rarely has a part, yet everytime I watch a college band concert there is always someone doubling Soprano
Didn't realize I had to have body :3
