Positions: Feb/22 $34C, June/22 $34C, Jan/23 $40C
Pre Covid Suncor was $42, dividend $0.42/quarter and oil $60/barrel
Now Suncor is $32, just announced this week $0.42 dividend is back and oil $83/barrel
Suncor Q3 results announced yesterday were amazing. Almost 700k bpd production at nearly $74us/barrel brought in $4.5 billion CAD cash flow. That’s 9% of the market cap earned in cash in ONE quarter. $2 billion went to paying down the $15 billion debt, $704 million share buy backs and $309 million dividends and announced doubling the dividend to pre Covid level of $0.42!
The current share price provides a 5.15% dividend return. Boomers and hedgies LOVE big dividends and will be buying hard. SU will be on every list for folks that google high dividend stocks until the SP rises to $42/ drops to 4% yield.
Suncor has been buying back shares nearly all year at approx 2 million shares/week. They increased the NCIB expiring feb 7th to 7% of float. To meet this goal buy backs will have to increase to 3 million shares/week.
Oil price averaged $82 in October, $8 higher than these Q3 numbers. Assuming this average holds in a currently ultra bullish environment we can expect $600mil MORE cash flow in Q4.
Currently 26 million shorts. They are fukt and will be adding to the slew of buyers.
Newly built Fort hills asset has been struggling to reach capacity and is announced to be working by end of this year. Expect Q1 2022 to pass 750,000 bpd.
And best of all it’s a boomer stock so options are cheap!! My feb $34’s were only $1.65!! Expect $40 by the dividend date in December. I’m playing even longer dates to see Q4/Q1.22 results. They will be huge and possibility of oil shortage in that time frame.
So a few months ago I decided I finally wanted to get my lazy eye fixed. Did the initial exam, scheduled the surgery, visit with primary care to be cleared for it, and the pre and post op exams. Was changing departments before all of those so I let them know everything that was going on. Needed the week of Thanksgiving off. As time got closer I was constantly berated for needing the whole week for recovery and for having to leave early for the appointments. Week before they decided the needed me in the day before surgery. Ok not a big deal I worked it and then went and had the operation done. Honestly one of the best things I've done. Recovery was a complete mindfuck and there is no way I could have gone back to work 2 days after, on Thanksgiving, like they had wanted. First couple days back wasn't easy and I had my post op appointment. Went from a 30 degree deviation to about 1 degree. Work wasn't happy I missed that time and has continued to berate me about leaving early. Made them schedule the last of my pto time instead of carrying over the 40 hours they let us each year. Fuck em. If I stay I get 4 weeks next year anyway and if I leave I'm not missing out on hours earned. Moral of the story. Take all the time off you want, need, or have because they don't actually care about you and your life shouldn't ever revolve around them.
Tldr: surgery was a success and pto is there for you to use at your own discretion. Don't let them try to bully you into not doing things for yourself.
These are the calcs:
DP Exp. Share: 50% XP to fighting mon, 50% XP to training mon. Total XP = 100% per fight
SwSh/BDSP Exp. Share: 100% XP to fighting mon, 50% XP to the other 5 members. Total XP = 350% per fight.
This means that unless XP gains are 3,5 times lower, or that enemies are lower level (it's confirmed they are not), XP gains will be 3,5 higher for a 6-party than with original DP.
Additionally, friendship combat bonuses are confirmed, they grant free crits and free focus band frequently. Friendship is maxed very fast walking with the Pokémon.
With SwSh, I was forced to rotate between 4 different full teams so that no mon became overlevelled, and I could never attach too much to any Pokémon or he'd be overlevelled enough to wipe all enemies.
I'm scared BDSP is gonna be another 60$ cakewalk. Why do they do this? It's so frustrating.
