But before we come to this delivery of happiness, there are a few matches that have been played in the last two weeks that are worth talking about : the feared promotion and relegation playoffs.

Ligue 1 / Ligue 2 playoffs

• The first round of playoffs was opposing the fourth and fifth of Ligue 2, respectively Grenoble and Paris FC. And it started pretty badly for the visitors as it took only eight minutes for the ivorian striker Achille Anani to put Grenoble one goal ahead. The first half in its globality was dominated by the home team who could have had a far better advantage at half-time if not for a great Vincent Demarconnay, 38 years old, who is a PFC keeper since 2008. The opposite keeper however had a far easier job this night as the parisians didn't shot on target until the 63rd minute. It was the start of a period of domination by PFC who multiplied the chances, some dangerous, some a bit less but still, Grenoble was under a heavy pressure that they managed well thanks to their defense, the second best of the league for a reason. Eventually, what had to happen happened at the 87th minute when a perfect counter-attack from Grenoble was concluded by Willy Semedo, offering a two-goal lead to his team, synonym of qualification for the next round. For the parisians, this result is of course disappointing but still, this season remains a positive one given where they were at the end of last season, one goal from a relegation in National 1.

• With this qualification in the pocket, Grenoble now had to travel away in Toulouse to face the third of Ligue 2. Needless to say that after a hellish season in 2019-2020, the Violets and their fans were both eager and frightened by the idea of a potential failure. A little amount of weight was lifted after only 3 minutes when Stijn Spierings converted in two steps a penalty that was stopped by Brice Maubleu. Less than ten minutes later, Grenoble were unfortunate as a header from Djitte hit the crossbar. It's finally at the height of Grenoble's period

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.

Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
