##young diplomats from Iraqi Kurdistan underwent training at the Armenian Foreign Ministry's diplomatic school
A certificate ceremony was held today for the graduates of the two-week training course. This was the first program of its kind for Iraqi Kurdistan and for young foreign diplomats in general, said MFA. "The program is very important for us both in terms of establishing our place in the international platforms of diplomatic education and in terms of deepening the relations with Kurds and Iraqi Kurdistan."
Naz Ali Abdulrahman is one of the 12 graduates. She is a researcher at the Kurdistan regional government. She wore a Kurdish traditional taraz during the graduation ceremony.
Naz's favorite Armenian historical sites are the Ejmiatsin cathedral and Zvartnots temple. Recently she bought a bunch of stuff from the Vernisazh market.
Ibrahim Bahri is another graduate and a diplomat from Kurdistan.

The thin difference between these "unreasonable" penalities and italian reasonable ones (I am italian and it's easier for me to analogize), is the chace for unvaccinated italians to get a negative test (valid for 48/72 hours), paid by yourself, to have the right to go to work.Otherwise you'd get the the same treatment as tunisian workers, you won't be fired, but you won't be paid*.
Similarly to tunisian workforce, for a few hundredsthousands italian workers, testing it's not enough. Healthcare professionals, teachers and public security officers are forced to get the vaccine done to have the right to work.
Moreover, our government from december 2021, with 2 different mandates, made the "regular" pass acquired by testing weaker than the 2 vaccine doses pass (aka "super green pass") and the 3 vaccine doses pass/2 vaccine doses + testing pass (aka "mega green pass"), the only allowed things you can do with a "regular" pass is going to work, have an haircut and going to the public offices.
All other "privileges" are for those who complied.
In Italy we have a similar group alled "Comitato tecnico scientifico" which has the same lack of human rights experts to comment the imposed restrictions.
Aren't the two situations similar? I am seriously asking myself if I am going nuts becase of the self isolation and seeing things from the wrong side.
*in almost all major national labor contracts in italy there is a thing called "suspension with remuneration" which

Vaccinations can protect the right to health by curbing community transmission and development of illness.💉 & The NZ Govt. has an obligation to protect the right to health & life.
In a public health emergency such as covid-19, particular consideration must be given to communities at risk of being impacted disproportionately.
this includes vulnerable people, such as children & communities facing historical & structural discrimination.
while @amnesty opposes blanket mandatory vaccination policies, there may be instances in which a requirement for certain professions is justified.
but...
these instances, where there is a requirement for certain professions to be vaccinated, must only be enacted as a:
➡️last resort
➡️And after other feasible alternatives have been pursued.
As with any limitations on human rights, the requirement for mandatory vaccinations must meet the principles of:
➡️legality
➡️legitimacy
➡️necessity and proportionality
➡️non-discrimination.
Evidence of this must be transparent and open to the public for scrutiny.
to this end, the nz government needs to incorporate a range of safeguards, including a clear aim and justification, specified and limited timeframe and precise wording on means of its implementation.

My girl friend and I have been waiting since the beginning of the pandemic to visit my mom. And while I could file for an exemption, it is my understanding that my girlfriend can not. Just wondering if you all think there is any chance of us being able to visit the country (from the US) with out having to deal with the government mandated quarantine by Christmas..
