A list of puns related to "Malevolence (New Years Day album)"
My new yearβs resolution is to listen to an album (or EP) every day for the next year. Any and all recommendations are welcome. I will make a list and hopefully, if this post isnβt taken down, share my list for this year that I have planned for anyone who wants to do this with me.
Only in Big Rigβs world where Botox and lip filler is the best thing to bring a smile to her face and as always behind on any trend.
Been under a lot of stress this past year so I thought listening to more music was a good way to relax. I have a book called 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die, and I've decided to listen to them all. I will also try to find the time to read up a bit on the album to learn something about it. So far this has been a great practice for me. I force myself to sit down and just relax. Instead of doing them chronologically, i have been using this site that randomly gives me one album each day from the book. Anyone else into something similar? How is that coming along? Here's the website I'm using if anyone is interested in trying. No need for the book, the Wikipedia articles are usually good enough to read up a bit on the albums: https://1001albumsgenerator.com/
Yep, the project has ended, so I thought I should write some sort of recap to look back on it. Exactly one year ago I started this project with my Folk Rock post. Since then, I have listened to an album from a different genre each day (with breaks), picked by the reddit community of the music genres, as I listened to the most upvoted album under each post. The vast majority of them were entirely new to me. Most of them were fantastic.
In total, I listened to 268 albums. Sometimes I didn't get any submissions to my posts or my posts got removed by the moderators or Reddit so that's why there's a discrepancy in the days, since I counted those as well.
On some occasions the same artist's different albums were winning submissions on different subreddits. A couple of examples are Bad Bunny, whose album YHLQMDLG was the winner for r/reggaeton and X 100PRE was picked for r/latintrap, or Herbie Hancock, who was the winner in r/funk and r/jazzfunk with his albums Thrust and Head Hunters respectively. Bonobo's albums were also picked twice: Animal Magic in r/downtempo and Black Sands in r/loungemusic. Finally, KOAN Sound was one such group as well. Their EP, Funk Blaster was picked by r/glitchhop, while their full length album, Polychrome ended up gaining the most upvotes in r/bassmusic. Despite this, no album ended up winning in multiple subreddits (though sometimes they came close).
I have learned a lot about my musical tastes throughout all this. For one, I have a gained a new kind of appreciation to some genres I previously didn't think much of, for example I found some fantastic electronic music albums that are more on the harder, but still melodic side, that matches my tastes quite a lot, though the old-school club music style of electronic music is still not for me. I also learned that noise music exists and it's really not for me.
It's interesting to note that twice I have been told to smoke weed while listening to the album and both of those times were coupled with a request to use a good pair of headphones.
I was following Wikipedia's list of most popular music genres, which has since changed to a list of music styles and expanded with new genres. Despite this I continued to use the version that was available when I started one year ago, since I randomized that version and has been using that random order ever since. To keep it relatively short and to

After the Heresy, one last Brotherhood of White Scars returned from fringe space to find out they've missed on pretty big changes. If they were tasked out with their mission before Ullanor, they were 8 or 9 decades gone. HH itself took only 8 or 9 Terran years, so many things have changed.
> In 087.M31 the last Brotherhood returned to Imperium space, emerging from the Warp at the remote way-station of Theogranth in the southern reaches of this lesser Imperium.
> The Brotherhood of the Blue Hawk numbered a mere 132 warriors on its return, having been tasked with charting the southern rim for eventual Compliance by the Great Crusade, a task they had undertaken with exacting diligence. Yet here, at the moment of their triumph, they fell under attack by renegade warbands of the scattered Alpha Legion who had come to Theogranth looking to pillage supplies.
> Shocked to find themselves at war with those they counted as brothers, the Brotherhood suffered badly in the battle, repulsing the Alpha Legion at the cost of much of their own strength. This was to be the last battle of the Legiones Astartes, the other Legions long since rendered down into separate Chapters by Guilliman's edict of the Second Founding.
> The last vicious stroke of the Horus Heresy, the final betrayal of brother against brother, for those that had survived the Age of Darkness no longer thought of the Traitor remnants as kin. Triumph was turned bitter by the spilt blood of their brethren, and victory was bought at a steep price. Only 28 of the White Scars would survive to reach Chogoris, there to learn of the full horror of the Horus Heresy, the crippling of the Imperium and the disappearance of their own Primarch in the years of tumult and war that followed it. They had set out at the height of the Imperium and returned to find it crushed, to find that the Legion they once knew no longer existed, replaced by a bastard creation of necessity.
> When word of their return reached distant Terra, Roboute Guilliman sent for them, seeking to make a spectacle of this lost Brotherhood and to see them reinstated into the new order of the lmperium. Yet, all that would arrive at Terra was a short missive, penned by Yeke Negurin Khan before he and the warriors of the Brotherhood of the Blue Hawk departed Chogoris, never to return. To this day no sign of their death has ever been found, and it is possible that they still make war in the Emperor's name far beyond the shrunken borders of
