A list of puns related to "M5 half track"
I took part in bmw's intensive training yesterday and had the chance of trying out the new M cars in their natural habitat. Here are my thoughts:
External design: I have to be honest - I didn't like the new designs after they came out. The front is quite a radical change and it needs getting used to. I changed my opinion completely after seeing them in person. The cars are way more aggressive than before and look great. One part that I don't like is how the rear passenger doors in the M3 fit into the design on the car. Seriously guys, don't judge these cars from the photos and videos, you will be pleasently surprised after you see one in person, especially in green, black or grey. Red doesn't fit the car that well for some reason.
Interior is best in class imho. Audi and Mercedes are much worse these days and the quality and feel of the materials is definitely better than the competition. Oddly I found the standard sport seats not supportive enough and a bit worse than the old ones. I wish they were more deeply recessed so you don't wobble in them so much in the corners. Don't get me wrong, they are good, but I liked the previous ones more.
The carbon bucket seats are a different story. This is a must option if you plan to track the M3 or m4. They are super supportive and comfortable (except for the raised part between the legs) and easily the most impressive thing about this cars interior. They also look great and make the car feel special.
The M4 and M3 are very similar in terms of feel. The new gearbox is more smooth than the old DCT, one could argue it lacks the aggression of the old box. However, the power of the s58 makes up for this. The car feels quite a bit faster than the old one and the additional weight makes absolutely no difference. It still drives great, corners and grips like a proper track car. I was actually amazed how easy it is to drive at the limit. The rear differential pushes you out of the corners so we'll that it's hard to believe this is a rear wheel drive vehicle.
There is a lot of fake noise in the cabin but this is something that could be easily turned off and fixed. The cars rev to the red line and sound quite amazing
... keep reading on reddit β‘Trouble was it was intermittent, so I had to keep stopping and waiting for it to roll so I could pinpoint the direction. Tracked it down, felt triumphant but horribly wide awake.
Edit: thank you for the awards
Driving southbound on the M5 before Droitwich turnoff. A row of cars were parked on the bridge over the motorway and people were taking photos.

Heylo,
Looking to sell or trade my two knives & scale. The only trade I'm interested in is a Shirogorov F3NS in purple (preferred) or blue.
Modded Hinderer 3V MEFP XM-18 3.5" - This has been permanently modified: professional flipper delete. It was also professionally sharpened, has seen no usage/carry, 2nd owner, centered/lockup/action as expected, has been disassembled, includes box/papers/tri-way hardware/sticker/auth card/tactical peanuts. No wear/snail trails, etc. It is currently riding on Skiff bearings, originals will be included. It was stored in a Pelican case with a moisture absorbent silica pouch. I own a from-factory non-flipper XM-18 and the hand feel is virtually identical. SV 600 OBO TV 650 OBO
Modded SOC J-Cape V3 G10 Thumbies - This has been permanently modified: non-professional extended forward finger choil (by me), the pocket clip had the sharp edges sanded down (by me), and the Jade G10 scale was Rit Dyed Purple (by me). It has been professionally sharpened, has seen very light usage/carry, 2nd owner, centered/lockup/action as expected, has been disassembled, includes box/papers/etc. No wear/snail trails, etc. It was stored in a Pelican case with a moisture absorbent silica pouch.
