According to this news source (and various others) LE are liking DeAngelo for the murder of miss Wicht and her 4 year old son.

It's heaet breaking that Craig Coley spent 38 years behind bars for murders he didn't commit. I wonder why it took until 2017 to exonerate him by DNA?

As much as i hate to admit it, i don't think DeAngelo did this. Just not his MO or pattern. Also, wouldnt they have confirmed this by now as hia DNA has always been in the system, even when it was under an Unsub?

So yesterday I began to compile a list of food places in the region that have voiced anti vax, anti pass and/or pro protest sentiments. I'm quite happy to say I've not really been able to find many other locations that are like this, with a LOT more working in a way that is safer for everyone. Below is the list of places to avoid if you are pro pass, places I'm not sure on yet due to confusing phrasing and places that are pro safety.

I've had some people private message me some info about places because they're scared about people seeing them post. Please don't hesitate to do so if you know places that are to be avoided!

ANTI PASS

Burger Bro - VERY anti pass. Setting up tables outside for unvaxxed people, agreed with Destiny Church members during their protest, claim the pass is 'medical apartheid'. Literally just look at their facebook for a laugh (if you can tolerate the comments).

Lost Boys Cafe - Sad about this one.

Civic Eatery/Movenpick - Civic is apparently closed down but I believe Movenpick in the same place is still around? It's unclear if Pappadomz (the joint replacing Civic) is anti pass or not, but they're only just starting so maybe haven't had time to say yet.

BONUS for outside of region

Lone Star New Lynn, Auckland - Giving food to D Church protestors in almost a partnership context, advertising for unvaccinated workers specifically.

The Jefferson, Fort Lane, Auckland CBD - Had a massive party on Friday where nobody was checked.

Jax Burger Shack, East Tamaki, Auckland - Apparently serving non pass members. Discovered this via a facebook comment from an anti pass person.

The Tack Shack, New Plymouth (another Shack place..) - Had anti pass stuff on the door, claiming it was anti equality etc

UNCLEAR - (This doesn't mean they're using the pass or not, just vague details given).

Nando's - Claimed to be back to normal but didn't reply to a comment about vaccine passes.

Texas Pete's - Unclear, claimed to be back to normal but no mention of vaccine passes. Did post a snarky image about Squid Game and the PM (red light green light thing) but maybe they were just having fun with it?

Lone Star Hamilton Branches - Online the Lone Star brand claimed to more or less disagree with New Lynn and that all branches are required to follow the govt regulations. The Hamilton branches are yet to make any statement however (I'm hoping it's just New Lynn that's the bad seed).

As the title implies, I'm looking to make a list of restaurants, bars and other such places that have made it clear they won't be engaging in the new pass system and/or have shown previous lack of care or selfishness by claiming the pass is 'medical apartheid', aligning themselves with anti lockdown protests or anything similar.

Right now I know that Burger Bro in town is staunchly anti pass. They believe that it is discriminatory and medical apartheid and apparently were talking with and agreeing with Destiny Church members during their protest.

I'm not sure on in Hamilton, but Lone Star in New Lynn were in fact advertising jobs towards anti vaxxers to get employed there, so be wary of the Hamilton branches.

Anyways, any help from other people about other restaurants in a similar vein would be great!

To anti vaxxers/covid pass people that see this post; You wish to have 'freedom'. This is my personal freedom, to compile a list of establishments I do not want to support.

EDIT: Joe's Garage in town is incorporating the pass, I just looked at their facebook page and they confirmed it! Great conventional pub food there too, with an amazing breakfast menu.

Lone Star's official facebook page has released a statement claiming ALL staff and branches must be fully vaccinated and comply with all government requirements.

I'll post a second entry in a day or so for folks who would just prefer an easy to read list over poring through comments.

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.

Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

I'm a sucker for Epic Fantasy, but the size of my tbr pile makes it hard to actually pick one out and start reading. To address this, I've attempted to create a semi-definitive (impossible, ik) list of fantasy series of a certain style (see trait list below).

The purpose of this post is to seek help in refining this list so others with similar tastes can reference this post rather than spend two days digging through hundreds of recommendation post from the history of this subreddit (as I've done).

So here's the gist of the list:

1. Epic Fantasy Series - Large in Scale / High in Stakes / Fantasy Setting / Multiple Books
2. Interconnected - Preferrably more in common beyond the setting. Preferrably not episodic.
3. Not YA, Not Webnovels - Not trying to yuck anyone's yum, but primarily YA novels could be another entire list.
4. Multiple POVs Preferred - Not a necessity.
5. High Quality and Consistency - Series with five 8/10 books preferred over a series with one 10/10 and four 5/10 books. While quality is subjective, this list is meant to include series that are generally very well-received.
6. Cohesive Ending - Closure to series as a whole present or planned/intended.
7. One Entry per Author - To avoid bloat, r/Fantasy's favorite qualifying series was selected for each author. Disagree with the selection? Let me know.

I'm surprised it hasn't decade.

The term 'Phantom Social Worker' (PSW) or 'Bogus Social Worker' (BSW) refers to reports of unknown individuals pretending to be social workers to gain entry into homes with small children. While unnerving these visits rarely include an actual attempt at kidnapping or molestation, with the individual's motives being unknown. The phenomena has been recorded in isolated cases throughout history, but intensified in the early 90s in the UK, with mass media coverage alleging an "epidemic" of cases. This led to a humiliating debacle for Yorkshire police, whose overfunded 'Operation Childcare' failed to find any evidence of the PSW and was forced to admit that most cases were attributable to a social panic. Only a handful of reports out of over two hundred Operation Childcare investigated were ultimately deemed genuine. After this embarrassment the phenomena faded from public recognition into the footnotes of folkloristics, another example of straightforward "mass hysteria", like the then-contemporary Satanic Ritual Abuse (SRA) panic rumor. Reports never dried up entirely though.

Who or what are the PSW’s? Was it baseless hysteria or was there some substance to the rumor? In this post I will provide a history of major cases and events in the PSW panic then move on to a rundown of different interpretations, concluding with my personal position that there was a more significant basis to the “panic” than generally accepted.

Part One: Significant Incidents.

1990.

In winter of 1990 Elizabeth Coupland heard a knock at the door of her council flat in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. She opened it to a pair of proper-looking young women in crisp business attire. They spoke with authority when they said they were from the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC) and asked to come in for a routine examination of her two children, to which she agreed. After the two strangers left, Coupland thought nothing more of what had seemed like a normal encounter with welfare services. However two days later she was greeted at her doorstep by one of the women, this time with a male colleague, and told Coupland that her children were to be seized and taken into foster care due to their risk assessment. Taken aback Coupland resisted, though the strangers were unflinching in their authority. It was only when Coupland said that she would call Police that the "social workers" left. Coupland phoned the Police who contacted the NSPCC. The NSPCC denied ha

Okay so I watched 7th heaven as a kid with my sister and decided to watch again and I did. Then after I watched all those episodes, I watched the entire series again. Then after that, I decided to bite the bullet and watch the other show Brenda Hampton created, Secret life of the American teenager

I’m currently on season 4 of secret life, and there’s lots to unpack. First of all, there’s so many people from 7th heaven on this show. The biggest one is Beverly Mitchell, aka Lucy Camden, and she plays their school counselor, except she comes in at season 3. Then there’s other side characters like Sgt. Michaels plays the football coach, Lynn Hamilton is Lauren, Vick plays Ricky’s child molesting dad in season 1, Jack’s dad was a juror in that one episode of 7th heaven. I’m sure there’s more but those are just at the top of my head.

Second of all, there’s so many phrases and ideas that are repeated. Just so many parallels. God I wish I had some examples because as I’m watching, I notice so many similar lines like “be harmless not helpful” or everyone either moves to New York or Arizona, Jack’s dad is a minister in secret life, miscarriages, there’s soooo many more but I can’t think of them. I’m gonna be kicking myself in a few hours when I think of it!

She started recording the album in November 2002 after her Dream Within a Dream Tour finished, being Touch of My Hand the first song she recorded, and the one that set the tone for the rest of the album. She then continued with the Everytime sessions, which she co-wrote with her backup vocalist Annet Artani (Annette Stamatelatos). Annet confirmed another song Shine which was about Britney's sister Jamie Lynn, but that song didn't make the cut.

It was precisely these two songs which she mentioned on an interview for hip to be the most personal of the album for her:

"I really love the vibe of “Touch of My Hand.” When I was in the studio it really came off as like such a natural process. There are 125 new community cases of COVID-19 to report today, 118 in Auckland, four in Waikato, one in Northland, two in Canterbury.

The rise in case numbers is a reminder of the infectiousness of COVID-19, and particularly the Delta variant, and the importance of vaccination as the best protection. With over 30,000 tests processed nationwide yesterday, these results aren’t unexpected.

A further case in Auckland who is an MIQ worker, first announced yesterday, remains under investigation to determine whether they are a community or border-related case.
