A list of puns related to "Luke McCormack (boxer)"
She's going for the ribs.
I might try a duck.
So for example, Nigel Benn against Gerald McClellan. Gerald has severe brain damage because of that fight. Did that affect Nigel Benn in any way?
I know Deontay Wilder got ripped to shreds for saying he wanted to kill somebody in the ring (which he could realistically do) but Iβm not sure he was serious. I think if he actually did do that he wouldnβt be proud of that.
He had a really nasty left hook
Hijabs.
First of all, English is not native language, so I'm sorry if there are grammar mistakes. The other day I was watching on YouTube the bizarre second fight between Lennox Lewis and Oliver McCall (yes, the one where McCall has a mental breakdown and refuses to punch after the 3rd round, doing so until the referee finally stops the fight at the beginning of the 5th round) and through the fight, it is often mention that although he had 6 losses, he had never been knocked down in his pro career. After the ref stops the fight, it is ruled as a stoppage, so in his record it appears as a "KO" lost. After watching the fight, I looked for this entire pro record and it shows that after his defeat against Lewis, he lost 7 more times, but still hadn't been knocked down till the end of his career. So I wanna know if you guys know about any other fighters who had been stopped, but never been knocked down in their careers.
My favorite boxer brief brand/model is no longer available and the 5 brands / models Iβve tried fail on comfort.
Like seriously, what was the big deal here? It's like every guy lost their minds in the 90s when they started wearing baggy boxers. They ride up your ass, they're horribly uncomfortable. They barely function as underwear, they're just shorts under your shorts, really. Boxerbriefs are marginally better, but they usually loosen up halfway through the day and then it's the same deal. Briefs keep everything in place and don't ride up anywhere. If your briefs are riding up, they're too big. If you think your dick is too big for briefs, first off it probably isn't, second then your briefs are too small.
Like, sure, "tighty whities" is a pretty childish name, but the underwear itself is not the problem. If you think white briefs aren't sexy, you've never seen a hot guy wearing them - they do a guy so many more favors than baggy boxers. If you think boxers are going to save you from looking unsexy, you have bigger problems than your underwear choice.
As for colors vs white - I keep getting told that on white underwear you get tiretracks/shit stains. Clearly this tells me that y'all don't wipe/clean your ass properly and y'all are gross. If my underwear gets shit-stained then I want to know so I can throw them out and get new underwear. What is wrong with y'all.
Anyway I feel like I'm the only sane person surrounded by a bunch of indoctrinated boxers cultists sometimes.
Self explanatory really. Being from Ireland I probably follow her career more than the average Joe and always find her trainer, Ross Enamait to be lacking something I can't put my finger on. Shows especially in the corner between rounds, very basic often repetitive instructions round after round even if it isn't really working. I just feel like Katie is such a technically gifted fighter she could be far more dominant (if that's possible) if she was under a more technically minded trainer; maybe Adam Booth, Tony Sims, Shane McGuigan or even Freddie Roach if he's not too past it. I just fear for her against Serrano under Enamait's tutelage.
A no-belt prize
After watching the Wilder Fury trilogy (again), it amazes me more and more each time how Fury seems unfazed from taking huge punches. He goes down and then continues fighting like they have barely affected him, and in some instances, goes on to win the round.
Fury has been knocked down six times in his career yet has never lost a fight. Is there any current/ former fighter who also has insane powers of recovery and has been knocked down more times than Fury in their career yet never lost?
EDIT: After reading the comments it seems unlikely that anyone has topped Fury. Is there any fighter who has been knocked down more times but has never been STOPPED in their career?
You donβt know anything about the opponent other than that theyβre of comparable size to whoever you pick. If you pick Mayweather for example, he wonβt have to fight a heavyweight.
I think thereβs a couple viable paths here. Do you bank on a more technically skilled boxer or a glass cannon? It also gets into the question of who you think is the best h2h boxer overall.
It might be a boring choice but I think either Klitschko brother is going to be hard to beat. My top pick might be GGG though. Even though he has a loss I think a prime GGG is an uphill battle for almost anyone.
Iβm interested to see who people pick and why.
I know that most fighters usually have one or the other but I was wondering if there were some fighters who have genuine one punch K.O power and hand speed. Mike Tyson had hand speed and power but he didn't really have that George Foreman K.O power.
I noticed Jake paul is now, according to Boxrec, the 660th best cruiserweight in the world. Who is the worst boxer that, in your opinion, could handle Jake Paul with ease every moment of a fight? Is there anyone in the top 100 who would not be able to? What if Jake was thrown in there with a Butterbean, or a Charles "I was this earth like a God" Martin?
Im curious which boxer is just bareley good enough to have virtually 0 issues with Jake at any point in a 12 round fight, and around what rank they would fall overall? (top 25, 50, 100, 500?) Thoughts?
I'd say Whyte. Wilder has shown that he can take punches and Whyte's clumsy footwork makes me think Wilder will eventually get the shot to absolutely spark him out.
edit: JOSEPH Parker. Not Joshua.
Who's with me? How can we make this happen.
I'm also open to other suggestions, perhaps Bubbles?
His name was Muhamma
Punch
This isn't a who would win question, just wanna hear your thoughts.
I go to a Judo club and one of my buddies there got mocked by a cousin who used to box, for taking judo instead of boxing. They took it pretty hard because they're pretty new to martial arts in general. The cousin was basically bad mouthing judo and preaching boxing as the ultimate self defense, but I've never met a boxer who wasn't at least wary of getting tied up with a judoka.
Edit: Thanks for the answers lads. I get both sides' points. One does not necessarily beat the other and it depends on the fighter. I've seen strikers beat grapplers and vice versa. I just really get pissed when someone writes of a style just on theories and what their coach/sensei said without even having fought it.
Deniro, Will Smith, Mr. T, Stallone, Lundgren, Carl Wethers, Russell Crowe, Michael B Jordan, Denzel Washington, Eddie Murphy, Hilary Swank, others? These guys worked with trainers to get in shape and look like boxers for their movies, but which one (in their prime and top form) could do relatively well in a boxing ring based on how they looked in the ring?
Randomly thought about this, but I actually gained respect for Caleb Plant and Isaac Cruz after their losses.
Think the same about Shawn Porter after his wars with Bud and Errol.
What other boxers do you feel the same way about? Or even what fights in particular?
