No joke, complete seriousness, this is the only album since Blonde came out, that’s made me feel this way. It’s masterful from top to bottom, no song I’d consider skipping. It’s if*ckingmmaculate. When I first heard listened to Sling, I got the exact same feeling I got when I first heard Blonde 5 years ago.
Some highlights I cannot and will not ever get over are the drums kicking in at 1:05 on Zinnias, the message on Blouse: “why do I tell you how I fell, when you’re just looking down the blouse. It’s something I wouldn’t say out loud. If touch could make them hear then touch me now.”, Wade reminds me of a gentle stroll down the park with orange trees around you, the grass colored a lighter shade of green, “I’ll spare you pain I can feel my shame creep through the front door. I can’t fuck it up if it’s not there at all.” in Reaper, Management is the ode to one’s future self. Partridge is an ode to the creativity of The Beatles, Amoeba has the catchiest rhythm and reminds me so much of Abba’s greatness.
I love this album so much, it’ll probably be my #1 of the year when I get together with friends to show our top 10 list oty. Thanks for reading my rambling!

I just wanted to share a big victory!! I finally got my dysautonomia issues under control so I could do inversions again, and realized aerial sling (basically, a big silk hammock you do gymnastics in) classes were offered locally. I decided to bite the bullet and if I had to leave midway through, fine, at least I tried it.
It went super well though!! I explained to the instructor before class that my joints were hyper-flexible, but it didn't mean my muscles were, and I might need to skip or modify poses if I felt like my shoulders or knees were slipping. I haven't done any real exercise since March of 2020, and it was hard in that regard, but the only joint issue I had was 'crocheting' my legs up the sling, and the instructor was able to help me trouble shoot ways to enter the postion in such a way it held my knee in place.
I'm definitely bruised af, and feeling sore, but I'm so excited about the possibilities. My ribs in particular are always a problem, and maybe it was because the pressure was put on the back of my rib cage and not the front, but even they feel ok! I don't know about y'all, but I find it hard to find an exercise that gets me excited to do it, and when I do it's either a combat sport or something that ends in me throwing things out of place all the time.
If I was coded with circus joints, I may as well have fun with them ;)
