A list of puns related to "List of works published posthumously"
The best argument for and against this may be Kafka. The Trial was published after his death by Max Brod who refused to burn it and many, if not all, of his other works despite Kafka's wishes. And it became one of the most influential works of fiction in the 20th century.
But, I read a collection of his stories recently, which were published during and after his life. And in my opinion, there was more quality in the stories published during his life. Many of them he didn't finished, and the publishers seemed to be afraid of editing them. Maybe it's better to preserve the work in his unedited voice?
What are other examples of this?

I found only one, which is an absurd reality for such a prolific writer...
May 27th, 1897 - Some Cruelties Of Prison Life - A public letter, written to the Daily Chronicle, is a testament from Wilde's own experience on the mistreatment of jailed children in late 19th century Great Britian.
We know that he for some time used a pseudonym, Sebastian Melmoth. He continued to write to Robert Ross and stayed in touch with many of his affiliates.
Now what? I assume that it might be a case of ill preservation: he was no longer living in Britian, staging his plays, publishing his essays and stories. He moved frequently throughout Europe and used a pseudonym. He might have written his work in French and in other languages. Robert Ross's estate might be an initiator for reasseting resources.
Can anyone help?
Recently, we have seen Michael Jackson "release" an album of songs that he never wanted to be released. Likewise, Tolkien's translation of Beowulf has just been published despite his protestations that it is "hardly to my liking". Jackie Kennedy's private letters to a priest are even being auctioned off. I believe that this kind of behavior represents a deeply problematic invasion of the artists' privacy, and should not occur. If they are unfortunately published, you and I ought to refrain from listening to or reading these works.
In short, I believe the dead have a right to privacy that ought not be violated for merely prurient interest. Scholars and spies may have compelling interests in the material, but most of us do not.

Did you know that Emily Dickinsons work was published posthumously?
Why do you guys think she didnt publish during her lifetime?
Thanks.
So Iβve recently discovered Worm by John βWildbowβ McRae. Itβs a web serial that started 2011 and ended in 2013 - so shortly before r/hfy got going. The story involves a young girl with superpowers who falls into supervillains, despite aspiring to be a hero.
While I donβt want to spoil some of the surprisingly strong HFY plot elements, the story largely revolves around bullying, isolation, and other childhood traumas.
The action is well written, but frankly the character development is what keeps you in the story. The core of the story is in first person (including excellent use of unreliable narrator), but frequent interludes explore side characters in depth.
Ranging from high school bullies to alien destroyers, government officials to sentient AIs, conspiracies to both save the world and take over the city, not to mention standard issue supervillains and thugs, there is plenty of conflict and drama to keep you in.
Plus the whole thing clocks in at 1.7 million words, or like sevenish Brandon Sanderson novels.
For example, it appears fast forward 'time' works as well as rewind.
Are there any other helpful commands that can be used?
I am thinking of taking my Vonnegut collection to the next level now that I have almost all of the versions of the novels that I was hunting.
Naturally, I thought maybe I could try to collect a complete set of all his magazine appearancesβfiction, non-fiction, interviews.
Does anyone know of such a resource or at least have bits and pieces they could share so I could get to work building my own?
