Pretty cool for people who struggle knowing where to branch out!
Help, I need a list of good-tasting vegetarian* and vegan* cheeses on the market.
Also, I am especially interested in a good Parmesan substitute for pasta/veggie dishes.
Hopefully, there can be some affordable options.
Can you all help me,
*NOTES:
No rennet for vegetarian Cheese and
No animal milk/products/rennet for vegan.
Also, NO Gluten.
Hey! I'm new to this vegan lifestyle, and it's for completely ethical reasons. I try and make sure I use vegan-friendly products whenever possible as well. After reading some buzz on the internet about "vegan investing" I did some searching, and the only thing I could really find was an online company called Demand Wealth and they seem to have a fully vegan portfolio. Here is their vegan page I clicked on.
It seems to be exactly what I was looking for, but I was wondering if anyone else has experience with this company or just cruelty-free investments in general.
Thanks!
Whenever I visit a new city, I try and put together a list of the vegetarian and vegan friendly restaurants. I used the /r/boston subreddit to put a lot of this list together, and also did a lot of googling around the net. I thought having this list in one place would be helpful to others so I decided to share it with you.
Note that I didn't visit all of these places, just the ones with a description in the "Tasting Notes" column. Feel free to add to the sheet, or leave comments directly on the spreadsheet, too!
Edit: I read the sidebar and removed the shortened URL.. sorry! https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AlT-LzSePn0odDk3QkhYbjFKdmtxSU9xRDhaczJKcmc#gid=0
Hey all - sorry to be doing market research on you guys, but I thought this would be a good place to brainstorm. I'm in my early 30s and have started 3 businesses (2 successful) as well as managed many others. I'm also an MFA dork (which is why I'm starting this thread in the first place).
Anyway, twice in the past year I've tried to find vegan versions of popular MFA shoes (Redwings Iron Rangers and Allen Edmonds Strands but with absolutely no luck. I've scoured the web, but every vegan shoe site I find has virtually nothing that appeals to the fashion-forward, higher end consumer. Novacas is probably the closest, but I still don't think they quite fit the bill.
Enter me, who is always looking to contribute my business management skills to a greater good. So I have 2 questions: has anyone come across any vegan shoes that are similar the the 2 listed above, and would you guys be interested in high end, well built vegan shoes that are in the same price point as the Allen Edmonds?
Thanks for any help!
i've seen it more than a few times. but today i noticed it on field roast suasage. field roast sells vegan products that are labeled as vegan right? so why are some labeled as just vegetarian?
My diet changes over the last year mean I will probably end up vegan or near-vegan at some point (calcium and b12 are problematic...).
I see so much about animal cruelty in this sub, but that has very little to do with why my diet is changing. My diet is changing because I'm horrified at what humans are doing to our environment by eating meat (and burning oil & coal, etc). I've also been reading about galactose, which is making me try to choose different sources of dairy and possibly calcium in the future.
I do support animal rights, they simply aren't high on my 'list' (environment, education, healthcare & workers rights are higher).
Posting to let others with similar views know they aren't alone. Also hoping I'm not alone!
