English is my third language and I have no issues playing games in English yet the term "sounding rocket" is confusing me because it often says to send in space X amount of "sounding equipment/material" and I am not sure what that is.

Does that refer to scientific material or is it any sort of payload?

I have recently started a new RP-1 play through and my first sounding rockets are not generating any science returns even though I am running the experiments, could it be that the WAC corporal avionics is not powerful enough to even transmit 0.1 science?

I’m not sure if you guys knew, but the University of Houston has a sounding rocket team that was 1 of 122 teams chosen to compete at the Spaceport America Cup this week. It is an international competition with awesome universities competing in several categories. UH’s team—Space City Rocketry—competed in the 10000 ft COTS category.

So far of all the Texas schools that have launched—including Texas A&M and Rice University—only UH has had a completely successful flight. The only Texas school that is left to launch is the University of Texas. This is a testament to the excellence of the engineering program at UH.

So, I have a Wac Bumper-esque rocket, and when I let go of the rocket, it starts tipping. This is not because my thrust is too low, as I wait to release until it hits around 200 KN. Anyone have any advice?

Edit - Nvm, the launch clamp was being stupid

Edit 2 - I still have issues with it, turns out: when it gets around 1300 m/s, the TWR and G force start getting incredibly high and the whole craft flips out of control. What should I do here?
