Okay, so I know rap and hip hop have vastly different sound profiles than metal and rock, so if I'll need to get two pairs of headphones to get the best for both, that's fine. I also listen to country and pop, but to a MUCH lesser extent, so I'm willing to just put up with however those songs sound on which ever pair/pairs of headphones I end up buying. I would like to keep the price under $300 (if applicable, that would be per pair, not total) as this will be my first pair of "enthusiast" headphones specifically tailored to a particular music genre, and I feel like that's a good starting price without completely busting the bank.
I don't know if IEMs versus actual headphones makes a difference on quality capability, so I'll say I don't care if I'm suggested either one. Maybe one of each for either group of music types? Headphones are going to need to be closed back, and preferably over ear as opposed to on ear. I've had open backs, and the whole others hearing my audio thing didn't really go well, ended up annoying everyone around me. I also need a DAC/amp combo unit, so if anyone has suggestions for that, it'd be a big help. Sorry for the spoon-fed request, but I seriously have no idea where to start with research for this kind of thing.
I've been desperately trying to find this band I used to listen to, last time I listened to them it must have been somewhere around 2011-2012. I remember several songs being very fast and as mentioned they had both a male and female singer, with the male having quite a rough voice. It was almost emo-pop I suppose? But a lot more upbeat. I've been digging through spotify and Google for HOURS and i just cant get anywhere.
Some key words I seem to have in relation to the band/songs/albums are "Tonight" "World" "Alive" and "We Are". It is not the band "Tonight Alive" or "The World Alive".
