A list of puns related to "List of racing cyclists and pacemakers with a cycling related death"
Basically i'm a runner that is on the stationary bike for crosstraining while i am rehabbing an injury. I am given pretty intense and tough workouts that spike my heart rate all the way up to 180-185 bpm during these 25-30 minutes of interval training for a total ride time of 1 hour.
My question is do you guys do workouts everyday or are you suppose to mix in couple easy days inbetween, similar to running to allow for optimal recovery? I notice my legs get way too fatigue if workouts are consecutive, so even if i'm on an hour easy ride, i tend to throw in 10x30 hard efforts towards the end to at least get in some work
Thought this was interesting: tonight's ES (traditionally a fairly right-wing tabloid) has no fewer than three extremely pro-cycling articles, including an 'exclusive investigation' into sentencing outcomes for careless driving and an editorial comment demanding pretty much exactly the same action as campaigners have been calling for.

>Drivers have only a one in 10 chance of being sent to jail after being involved in the death of a cyclist, an Evening Standard investigation reveals today.
An analysis of police data on the 40 cyclists killed in London between 2010 and 2012 found that drivers had been imprisoned on just four occasions.
There were seven further cases where minor or suspended sentences were imposed - allowing motorists to walk free. In at least 24 further cases, the Metropolitan or City of London police and the Crown Prosecution Service decided not to press charges or discontinued criminal proceedings. On four occasions the driver was cleared by a jury[...]

>Evening Standard comment: Take tougher action on cycle deaths
The courts need to send a much tougher message to drivers who kill cyclists and pedestrians. That, along with proper, segregated space for cyclists, can make our roads safer for cycling in 2014

I've been getting these flutterings and racings for about 4 years now. Started very intermittently, saw a cardiologist, was told I was just dehydrated. Year or two passes by without much activity, then last year it started (or at least I started noticing it) and seemed to be more frequent. Saw another Cardiologist and had a Zio Patch put on for 7 days. To my surprise, I was diagnosed with Tachy-Brady syndrome and P Afib. Was also told my heart stopped for about 4 sec three times. Asked doc wouldn't I notice my heart stopping? Was told it's happening in my sleep but never confirmed all 3 were when I was sleeping (I believe I have sleep apnea). I do notice my fluttering, racing is happening more regularly since I got the results back.
I've never once felt dizzy or faint at all. But, my current cardiologist recommends a pacemaker asap mainly to avoid me fainting (while driving, surfing etc..). I feel like I am very healthy, active, and again, I've never felt faint since I was a kid.
I'm going to get a sleep test done to see how bad my sleep apnea is. I'm thinking I should wait to see what the results are and if a CPAP machine would reverse some of my symptoms. I'm a little shocked that I need a pacemaker right now.
I'm also worried because I service MRI scanners for a living. I was told they have MRI safe pacemakers now.
A month ago I was on a 14 day surf trip without a worry about my health and now here I am scheduling a pacemaker implant.
Are there alternatives or is getting a pacemaker the only answer for me? I feel like I'm rushing into this, but on the other hand, if it is serious, I'm grateful I was diagnosed so I can get treated.
Hello all, I'm looking for people who ride road bikes competitively to help me get a team started for the University. If you have a geared road bike, doesn't matter if it's old or new, and you want to race in the SCCC for next years season in the spring, please contact me.
I have a shop, BG Bicycles, who agreed to sponsor the team if it is created. We also have local shops like Acadiana Bicycle Company who have shown interest in supporting a local team. All we would need is university support and financial backing in order to fund trips, uniforms, lodging, and travel.
So please, if anyone at all are interested, contact me so we can get things started.
I've always been big into cannonball run, but while in quarantine I've just been passing time watching tonnes of stuff on it. I hear people talk about related records but can only find the main route, NYC to LA team drive, record. There is a record for the southern route from LA to Miami solo driver thats referenced often but I can't find. And there are some motorcycle and bicycle records that have been referenced to. Anybody know of a place that has a comprehensive list. Thanks in advance!
