... keep reading on reddit β‘I'm 90% sure there were dual vocal duties, 100% female vocals were involved. They were hosted on Vampirefreaks, but that site is long since dead now. Their concept was that of an alternative history/world that was at war, so their lyrical themes were that of their alternative warring world, and their image was militaristic, a mix of standard edm/goth stuff + military looking stuff. Field caps and that kind of thing.
I can't remember what their music sounded like other than the general genre they played. I believe they were either European or South American, probably the former. Not native English speakers.
Hi! I always love searching for new music, so I check here or in other social media or online magazines/podcasts for new bands. I'm mostly into electro-industrial, I was trying to search new bands in the genre. What bands would you recommend me? Thanks!
What are some bands out there that have the riffing guitars of NIN, 16volt, and Gravity Kills, the electronics of Skinny Puppy, Front Line Assembly, and Velvet Acid Christ, and the found object percussion of Einsturzende Neubauten, SPK, and Test Dept?
Bands not on Spotify is fine too. I'm not much into Nu-Metalcore, but I'm all ears for newer bands too in the genres I mentioned.
I saw it like 6 years ago when I was 13. The video was absolutely crazy as was the song, cheap video. The song went electronic to metal and screamo quite regularly. Neon lights were prominent, the band were performing and everyone kinda formed a crazy mosh pit. It was release 2008-2012 I'm guessing. I watched MTV Rocks back then and it was on that. They had the words Atlantic or Atlantis or something similar in their name. I swear they're still going or were. It's giving me a headache trying to figure this out. They must have been small as a band because I can't find them on any compilations. I don't post like at all but I'm so desperate and any suggestions will be appreciated. I feel like my description could apply to a lot of stuff so this could be trial and error but I'm grateful for anything.
I've been trying to figure this out all morning and it's driving me mad!
Sometime in the late 90's I got hold of a music video of a female industrial band that I thought was really cool at the time. They sounded a bit like Prodigy on distortion, and also a bit like Pitchshifter of the same era. This was an all female band, and the video featured them with all kinds of colored hairdos and possibly latex etc. with black background. They were playing instruments like guitar, drums etc., but I remember the music using a lot of sampling and effects.
It's not Genitorturers, and it's not My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult.
If anybody has any idea, it would be greatly appreciated!
EDIT: Whoisearth got it right! Sorry guys for the Prodigy-Pitchshifter talk, I remembered Kittie as being more sampled than it actually is. To my defense, it's been 10 years... :)
Thank you all for helping out!
