A list of puns related to "List of biblical names starting with D"
While it is easy enough to imagine a general narrative being constructed from fragmentary memory (or just made up) it is much more difficult, to me, to account for the much more specific (and frankly dull) information such as names of the leaders of the tribes as they left Egypt, the precise numbers of people in the tribes, the specific names and sequence of conquered cities and their kings, etc..
Who would make up such stuff and why?
I have a daughter named Acacia after the acacia tree. The tabernacle in the Bible was made from acacia wood, so itβs not too obvious, right? I am hoping to find an M name for my second daughter with a slight biblical note but not Mary, Maria, Martha or Magdeline. I was thinking of Maris, but then when I googled it I forgot that the character Niles from βFrasierβ had an ex-wife by that name. She wasnβt painted in the best light on that show. Any ideas?
The beautiful part of this is that it takes almost no effort and saves a lot of time. You also never again have to worry about the gift being liked or needed.
Title says it all. Please help.
I tried to google search this but I know the lists online arenβt complete. They donβt include the Fleury or Kase brothers some donβt even include the Strome brothers. Please help me out.
If you suggest a beautiful name for her, I'll post which one we actually pick. (And no, we're not into any kind of indoctrination, we just want to pick a lovely name and are looking for suggestions from the generous people who post here.)
My husband (half Dutch half Tongan) likes strong names named after strong people. He comes from a big family and they have all had their kids and no one has named a girl after his mom. It bums him out, and wants our first girl named after her... her name is Telakaki (pronounced: Tell-a-cocky). I could nickname her Tele (like telly phone) but idk just ugh. On the other hand I am starting to like the name Holland, for a boy or girl. Itβs my motherβs maiden name and my husband was born in Holland before moving to the states. What do you guys think?
3rd kid due soon. Genitals unknown until birth. Siblings are Elliott (girl) and Jack (boy). Last name is two syllables, ends in "man".
This is the best tl;dr I could make, original reduced by 84%. (I'm a bot)

Specifically, we don't really want a nature name or a celtic or classical name. See, we're having a son, and we both fell head over heels for the name Floki. But we know that's a bit much to use. We love the lightness of it and the trickster connection, but we know it's way too much to use. So we want a name that mimics it. Especially, we consider it a "witchy" name and we want that.
We're open to other norse names, but for the most part we find them unusable. And we don't really like other pagan names; we just don't feel any affinity toward them. But we're both raised Catholic and have a deep love for Christian folklore, and we find biblical names in general more usable than pagan names.
There are plenty of Christian girl names that feel witchy to us, like Jezebel and Bathsheba. We'd like to find the same for a boy.
So we'd like boy names with a witchy vibe, but we'd like them to be Christian in origin if possible and we'd like then to be usable.
Middle name Dean, last name Shaughnessy.

Found a ton of girlβs names I actually like/love but not a single boys name.
So throw at me all the boys names you can that donβt start with J, D, or L. Those are 100% banned for us.
The Nurses call her "feisty" :)
We are both into Sci-fi, so we are up for a character name as well !
